Dear Ojon, why would you discontinue this?! This is my favorite bath product. I've used it for about 8 months and there is still a TON of product left. I bought it when it was on sale for $35, just like another reviewer. There was no way I wanted to pay $80 for this... that is after I tried it! I really wish I could buy another somehow.

My first time posting, and only because I am absolutely in love with this ball, and all the tawaka line.
I have used it for 3 weeks now, the first week every day, second week, every second day, and now 3x a week.
I have ultra sensitive skin, exzema and psoriosis. It has helped with all those problems. I too waited a long time to try because of the price tag, very expensive, but i still have more then 2/3 of the ball left.
I wash my hair, then condition it, and after I turn off water, and with my wet hands rub the ball all over. My heels are not cracked anymore, and I do not use moisterizer after using the ball.
Then i rinse myself and shower stall off, everything just rinses down the drain.
Just this week Dennis Simmeone said on TSC that come Dec.2009, no more tawaka will be available anymore. I use shampoo and conditioner, and cream too. I am devastated. I purchased 3 more and thats it for me, i really feel this works as aroma therapy too, i get anxiety attacks and the smell just shuts it off. I love these products.

I waited for this to go on sale at Sephora before I bought one for myself. I simply LOVE the smell, rich chocolate and coffee. The ball gives good exfoliation, however my skin felt pretty dry after use - wish the soap itself was more moisturizing. I might have considered repurchasing the item, however I cannot stand the fact that I have to clean my shower after every use. The ball leaves a brown film in the tub after using it. Yes, the ball is a bit pricey, but it seems like it will last for a while. I also have the white ball, and I like the brown one much better, mainly because of the rich smell.

I got this with the shampoo, conditioner and body cream. I would never pay for this on it's own. Definitely not worth the money for me.
It has a nice scent, it scrubs the skin a bit and leaves me with soft nice smelling skin, but nothing really that great. But, as long as I can get this with combo packages I will continue to use.

For all the hype that it gets in beauty mags and blogs, it's just meh for me. The smell is wonderful, and that ball will last through many uses. Aside from that, it doesn't really exfoliate that well, and it certainly doesn't leave my skin moisturized. If anything, I have noticed that my skin is drier after using it. The best use that I have gotten from it is that I leave it out in its bowl after I use it, and it gives my bathroom a delicious, yummy smell. Great, but expensive air freshener.

I got the white one on sale at Sephora. It doesn't smell anything like white chocolate to me, I'm curious at what the dark one smells like. It smells like Ojon shampoo to me which is kind of like rice and a very natural, comforting smell. The wooden bowl it comes in is really cute but doesn't fit in my shower. The ball itself is about the size of a softball but it seems to last a really long time.

I've used this directly on my skin in the shower and on a pouf. It only foams on the pouf. I haven't noticed anything different about my skin though. It feels waxy right after I rinse it off, but nothing after that. My skin actually felt drier to me.

Bottom line: This just seems like overpriced soap to me.

This is my favorite shower time treatment at the moment. I had my eye on this since it came out and waited to get it on sale $35, which I feel is a decent amount for this product. The smell is a rich, dark, cocoa and makes the whole bathroom smell amazing. Skin feels very soft after using. This is big, so you have to have a space to store it where no water hits it. So far I have used it everyday for about 3 weeks and still much left. I really like this item, along with other Tawaka products Ojon offers. **Update~I can not believe how long this lasted! I have had it 6 months now and it's still going strong. I think i'll get about 3-4 more months out of it!

I bought this on the recommendation of MUA reviews, and haven't been sorry, despite the $65 price tag. The ball is big, sits in a nice wooden bowl included in the package. This stuff smells EXACTLY like the shampoo and conditioner - not chocolate but a really classy cocoa - very soft, very understated. One of the reviewers said she stayed in the shower longer just to inhal this .... make it two of us taking longer showers just to inhale. it's just heavenly. The ball exfoliates and moisturizes skin... and does a great job. I'd buy this in a heartbeat again!

This review is for the original ball (the brown, chocolate scented one), there is now a white one as well which I haven't tried :) First, let me say, this is a great product! It is a softball sized ball that produces a soapy lather when wet. It also comes with a cute wooden bowl for convenient shower storage. To be most helpful, I'll break this review down into pros and cons.

Pros: The smell is heavenly! I spend an extra 5 minutes in the shower now just enjoying the chocolate scent (not fake or saccharine either). Also, this really does soften your skin. My skin was softer after one use, and even softer after a week of use! I find that the ball exfoliates and leaves a bit of a waxy feeling on my skin initially (but this is gone as soon as my skin dries). The amount of product is very generous, so I think it will not need to be repurchased very often. How long it will last is hard to gauge, but I've been using it for 2 weeks and don't see a dent. Finally, I think just the feeling of spoiling yourself with this unique product is a pro, I look forward to using it every day :)

Cons: The price! At $65, it isn't cheap, and it's not exactly a necessary item. But, really, I don't think that's the point of this product. If you're looking to spoil yourself, this is a great purchase. If you're looking for a bargain, well, best continue looking. Also, it does make a bit of a mess in the shower, but it rinses right away, no stains or anything (and I have a white tub/shower curtain).

Overall: I will definitely purchase again! I think this is a unique and fun product, and worth it for me :) It makes my daily routine more fun, and is just a nice treat when I feel like doing something nice for myself. And the smell. Really, you just have to smell it in person :)

love this ball - a real bath treat. Cons is it does make tub messy and is quite expensive for 'soap'.

I'll admit - if I didn't order this in a kit there would be no way I would spend $65 on a large ball of what appears to be "soap". Though, this is not a soap. It smells like a hunk of dark earthy chocolate. It isn't *too* gritty and leaves a moisturizing film over the skin in a brownish color that, while messy, also shows you if you've missed a spot! It left me soft and smooth - and the smell is intoxicating...

I have used the Ball three times now. It might not sound like much, but let me tell you what I have learned thus far.

I get in the shower, soak in hot water for a minute or so and then turn off the tap, pick up the ball and start scrubbing! All over, except for the face. It's pretty rough and I rub it in circular motions until my skin turns red. In this way I suppose it's like using a glove with shower gel, except the Ball actually moisturises and cares for your skin more than any shower gel. It's mostly oils and no sulphates. I can see that if you were just to glide it over your skin and then massage with your hands, it would have hardly any exfoliating effect. You have to work hard to be silky smooth! It works well on elbows, but like I said, you have to scrub vigorously. Don't worry though, unless you have super sensitive skin, the moisturising ingredients will make sure your skin will be happy afterwards. There is a film left behind once you've rinsed off the delicious-smelling (but not delicious-tasting, I tried!) chocolatey layer, but it isn't gooey or messy and after all, a film is expected from an exfoliator containing oils.

There are two reasons why I keep running water turned off: to allow the goodies in the Ball to penetrate my skin for as long as possible, and make the product last longer by not letting any just wash down the drain.

The size of the Ball has hardly decreased (I can't see it but it must be slightly smaller) as it doesn't really melt in your hands. It looks like it will last for a long time. Not like, for instance. LUSH's body butters which will give you about two-three uses. This is the reason you shouldn't consider the Ball expensive - for an initial high investment, it will last quite a while.

I could never use the Tawaka Cleanser and Conditioner on my body (works magic on my hair though). First of all, it seemed like a waste and second, the Conditioner stung...in some sensitive areas, including my face. It seems that whatever was causing the reaction is not present in the Ball.

I must admit that I love the little bowl it comes with. And the drain! You have to love the drain. I keep my Ball in the far corner of the bathtub so it isn't getting drenched by the shower. I have read that some people find that the bowl cracks after a bit, mine doesn't seem to be thus inclined. Hey, as long as you have the drain, you can use any little bowl to store the product in.

I think I'll have another go tonight, it's been a couple of days!

Four lippies because I feel it could be bigger. I can't actually imagine how you'd use it once it gets small - like chestnut sized - but that seems far off still.

I am still new to this product but after using it a couple times I have to say I'm pretty impressed. I got this product as part of a kit from QVC so as far as price I'm not sure what it will retail for alone. The host did mention that it would be around the price of the kit for the ball alone which was about $60....to me...this is a bit much. But until I actually see a price tag on it I will say "yes" to a repurchase.

Love the container that comes with it...I will use it long after the ball is gone for soaps...great idea. It comes with a wooden bowl that has a grate in the bottom that the ball rests on so it does not sit in the water and dissolve. Very smart!

It smells a LOT like chocolate...more than the hair treatment....and it kinda looks like it too! The smell does linger a bit but nothing too noticable. Still...smell is not my favorite.

I got the ball wet and began to work it in circular motions on my "trouble" spots...basically head to toe and it was slightly gritty but not enough to really say it was exfoliating. It leaves a hot chocolate color liquid all over your body that rinses easily. I must admit...after the shower I am impressed...it really exfoliates (more than you think at the time) and I did not need a moistuizer after (normally i'm an itchy mess after a shower). I even used this on my face and it felt nice! Not overly exfoliating but you can tell you did something.

Will edit post when I've used it longer...for now...I highly recommend the kit that it came in and basically you would get this for free. Tawaka poo/cond/moistuizer and ball for $60

Pros: Great "natural" product. Great design. Love the feel on skin and leaves body very moistuized.

Cons: Its hard to hold on to a wet ball in the shower. The smell is not my favorite.
