This shampoo is ok, but didn't wow me. It has a really nice smell, and lathers very easily (gives a luxurious feeling). Although it gives a clean feeling, it doesn't do anything about the frizz and dryness of my daily heat-treated hair, despite using it in combination with the conditioner. I won't be repurchasing, because I think there are other shampoos that do the same, for half the price.

Tried a sample and am favoring to buy a bottle. Does not break out my sensitive scalp but cleans well without weighing down. My hair is healthy tho I dye it for fashion sake. It is long but I have no detangling issues. If you are looking for special detangling stuff, you might need to see how others fare. I love the scent and it distributes well, unlike some heavier stuff I have tried.

One word--LOVE!!! I just tried a sample of this with the conditioner. First of all, it smells SO GOOD, like a tropical type scent. I used the Fekkai glossing creme before heat styling too. My hair was smoother, felt light, and moisturized. And did I mention I love it? That's all I need to say, this stuff rocks, I tried it I loved it---ciao!=)

I absolutely love the shampoo, but am not so crazy about the matching conditioner surprisingly. The shampoo is incredible. It conditions your hair, doesn't strip it and leaves it with wonderful volume. It left it very smooth and soft. I loved the shampoo so much that I thought I would love the conditioner too, but not at all. I much perfer the glossing conditioner. That one is incredible.

I am a little on the fence on this product. I think it is way too expensive for the 8 oz size that you get. That being said, it does cleanse my very dry hair without stripping it and I have been struggling to find shampoos for my hair type. I also use the matching conditioner with this. Has a somewhat strong fragrance. Won't repurchase as I am trying out Ion Nourishing Shampoo and Kera Pro shampoo for very dry hair also.

I got a sample of this and the matching conditioner. I really felt I would not like them because there has been only one FF item I have liked. This changed my mind. This shampoo has a great scent and even with my hair dry I can still smell the wonderful scent. I actually have an oily scalp and I actually felt this was great for my scalp. It seemed to leave enough natural oil that my scalp does not have to produce it leaving my hair greasy. This left my hair a little dry while still in the shower, but the conditioner fixed that. I will be purchasing this although I wish it was a little lower priced.

This is a mild, creamy shampoo. Smells nice. Works okay, but isn't worth the money. My Pantene works much better.

I really really like this shampoo. I have long, highlighted blonde hair that is somewhat dry due to the processing and in the winter my scalp gets sooo dry. My hairstylist suggested using a moisturizing shampoo mainly for my dry scalp. This shampoo is amazing for my hair. It does a great job of moisturizing my scalp and hair (I only use it on my roots) and leaving it so smooth, silky, and soft. My hair is seriously so soft I just want to run my hands down it all day! As much as I love the shampoo, unfortunately, I do not love the conditioner. I will do a separate review for that, but I seriously can't believe how dramatically different the results are for a matching shampoo and conditioner. But the shampoo is worth the money in my opinion!

This smells great just like all the other Frederick Fekkai products. Not very moisturizing tho... so i will not be re-purchasing this. I don't think it is worth the money.

Perfection in a bottle! I find it amazing that most people do not seem to like this shampoo, for me, it has been life changing (as much as a shampoo can transform your life... that is)
I have long highlighted baby fine hair (but a lot of it) quite dry. Normally my hair will tangle super easily (specially on the nape of my neck) and break from brushing. This shampoo leaves my hair ultra soft and unbelievable but true.. with volume!
I can run my fingers trough my hair all day long! Yet it cleanses perfectly, I normally wash every other day (sometimes daily) and my hair looks perfect on the second day as well.
I've tried many hair care lines, most products with silicones (Kerastasse, Redken, Kiehls) work fine for about 3 weeks, then either they dry my hair, or they leave it drowned on build-up. Silicone free formulas like Phyto, Aubrey Organics and Kiehls Sunflower line, are never hydrating enough and end up with a lot of flyaways...
Every two weeks I add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to my shampoo to clarify, and that does it. No build up on sight.
I waited two months before reviewing this and I am in awe of this 'poo and matching conditioner. I just add a bit of glossing cream and my hair looks awesome both air dried or blow drying.

I am so surprised that this shampoo didn't get better reviews!! I love it!!
My hair is way, medium textured but there is a lot of it. For me this shampoo created lots of thick lather and a little goes a long way.

Swimming all summer left my ends a little dried out and this moistured them without squashing all the volume in my hair. Afterward my hair is soft, bouncy and smooth.

I did take one point off for the price however. If it was on sale I would purchase again though.

Found this at a grocery store (?) in California. Maybe that's why I was less than impressed. It was extremely underwhelming, did nothing to moisturize my hair or smooth down frizzies. Used both s/c. Too expensive for 0 results.

Not very moisturizing, but not bad. I wouldn't recommend the Shea Butter line of Fekkai products as they do not do what they say they will. The most moisturizing shampoo I've ever tried was Creme of Nature. That said, if I can get it for $2.89 I doubt I will ever purchase this again.

I agree with a reviewer below. This, along with the matching conditioner, dried out, weakened and weighed my hair down. You would think that if it weighs your hair down, that means that it's very moisturizing. NOT. I had to do a protein treatment after, to get some strength back in my weakened, sad hair. Trying to figure out a way to get this back to Ulta, as I lost my receipt.

I have dry curly and course hair and is almost never soft. I had been using Wen and other non-foaming shampoos because they were the only thing that made my hair soft and not feel like steel wool. The downside was that all of those products made my hair greasy (I have to wash my hair everyday otherwise I can't do anything with it) and I would have to use a clarifying shampoo once or twice a week. This is the only shampoo I have found that makes my hair as soft as non-foaming products. I use it along with the matching conditioner and have amazing results. It is a little expensive but a little goes a long way so the bottles (8 oz) last me about two months or more. The one upside is that they sell it at Saks and Neimans so I can stock up during friends and family at Saks (have to love 15% off), during gift card events and double/triple point days.

Excellent shampoo and conditioner for my fried, breaking hair. My hair is naturally very curly and coarse textrued and I had a bad experience with John Frieda Curl Around shampoo and conditioners. They seemed to dry out my hair. I've since learned silicones are not a good thing for curly hair. Anyway, this Fekkai stuff is pricy but I've really noticed a difference after only a few weeks. My hair is softer and the breakage has slowed down considerably. I wouldn't recommend it for thin or limp hair - it would probably weigh it down too much. But for coarse, curly hair, it's terrific, if expensive.

I was completely underwhelmed by this shampoo. With most expensive shampoos, I only need a little bit of product to get my hair clean, but with this I had to use kind of a lot. While it does smell pleasant and has a nice texture, it doesn't do anything extraordinary to justify the hefty price tag.

I was really disappointed with this. A girlfriend gave me a gift set of Fekkai's shea butter products for Christmas and I was so eager to try this as I had never used his stuff before. Ugh, I was not impressed- especially for the $20/bottle price tag. This did not have a great lather and my hair felt weighed down and heavy with this awful waxy residue after I blow dried. Granted my hair isn't insanely dry but I do have it colored and have never had trouble with a moisturizing shampoo before. Wouldn't repurchase and if you have fine, thin hair I would suggest you stay away. P.S. His Technician line is fabulous and a life saver for anyone with dry, damaged hair!
