I had really good luck with this product. I bought it at Meijer for $1.99 as I think they're discontinuing it. I tried it on my pinky finger to see how it worked and it turned out great! I followed the directions exactly. First I put on a nail tip then I lightly buffed the "line" where the tip ended and my real nail began. I pbrushed 1 layer of gel on and then immediately sprayed it (3 squirts) with the activator. I let it dry for about 5 minutes and then put another coat of gel on followed by the activator. I let it dry another couple of minutes and then buffed it with a medium fine buffing block that I got at Sally Beauty Supply. I put a base coat (Seche Vite) on followed by polish and a top coat (Orly UV). As I said, the pinky turned out great so I did my other nails and it looks like I went to a salon! It's a bummer that they discontinued the product but you can can a similar kit called ASP Wrap Kit from Sally Beauty Supply. It's also good, just more expensive. I would recommend this product.

I should have known better.... but I tried it anyway! I've been looking for something to help my nails, I don't have time for the salon, Nailtiques doesn't work well (peels off after 3-4 layers).
Anyway this was pretty easy to apply. With a little practice cutting the shapes of the silk bits would've been easy. Once the gel was applied they were pretty transparent. But when I woke the next morning one of the wraps was already peeling up at the edge. I filed it down and it looked fine. As the day went on, more and more of it was peeling up. It was easy to file down but the more I had to file off the worse it looked. Less than 24 hours later I've peeled off as many as I could -- and i have an appointment at my salon for a manicure!
