No. No. No.

This is a silver palette. Honestly, that's all I get from the colors! They're a silver brown, a silver pink, a silver light brown, a silver beige, and a silver dark brown. Yes the colors blend beautifully, because the texture is soft and velvety, and also because you can't tell the slightest difference between any of them! They're just silver. Frosty and shiny. Think the 80's being futuristic with tin foil. Terribly unflattering.

The packaging is quite nice and sturdy, the product looks lovely in the packaging, and it swipes pretty enough to guarantee purchase. But actually putting this on my face? NO.

I can't make this work. And I can't return it now, it's been so long since I bought this. I wouldn't give this to a friend (at least not one I'm fond of hahaha) And I can't put this up for swaps. So I'm stuck with a useless product that takes up space in my makeup collection. Won't repurchase and won't purchase another of their quints. So disappointed!

Expensive but so worth it. They are silky and beautifully pigmented, blend perfectly and have great staying power. Not all day but a good 4-6 hours under television and film lighting. and they are easily touched up without grabbing or flaking. i love the Dior palettes and most of the MUA that I know in the industry have them as a staple in their kits.

I was tempted to try this after I saw it used on Marion Cotillard for the latest Vogue cover she did (admittedly I am gaga over Marion cotillard and think she's gorgeous) so when I saw that they used this on her in the cover I ran out to try it. Well, this hasn't made me look like Marion cotillard, especially since Im a short middle eastern girl with brown eyes and a completely different face haha. but nonetheless this is a beautiful quint. I had given up on dior quints a while ago but I believe theyve been reformulated so that the color actually has good payoff and stays quite well. Theres a beautiful sheen to these shadows that is not a glitter or glimmer. Theyre not too metallic or over the top. I love that. They are not completely matte either, but theres almost a sheen + holographic quality to them and they can be so easily layered and blended because they are so finely milled. The color payoff is amazing. I have worn this two nights in a row now and gotten compliments both times, and have been able to do a few different looks with this. I believe its a super universal quint, and even better than Incognito imho, because incognito has that matte finish to it which can be trickier to blend for us gentiles. The colors to me, seem like a neutral bone/gold, a light holographic type of pink (great highlighter for under brow), a metallic taupe, a mousy brown. I love it. It can be used for an everyday nudey eye as well as a night smoky eye and its so easy to use and blend these colors together. The quint was a bit pricey like all Dior quints or just all high end eyeshadow in general (bah), but I was so impressed with the results that I have no probs dishing out the moolah. Also, I dont like the case that is so boxy and occupies so much space in my makeup bag, but nonetheless, such a small price to pay for such an amazing product. Highly recommend.

This is my HG eyeshadow! It's always in my makeup bag. Beautiful natural colors, blends really well and stays on beautifully the entire day. Really easy to apply and it doesn't smudge. Also, I love the little velvety pocket it comes in, saved it from breaking when I accidentally dropped it to the floor once. By far the best eyeshadow I have ever purchased. Worth every penny!

I love this palette. Overall, it's a cool brown/neutral combination of shadows that looks great with blue eyes and fair skin. Sometimes it's hard to find browns/golds that aren't too warm, so I think this is perfect. It's very shimmery, but not glittery. I use a matte color in my crease (either Mochacchino (matte brownish taupe) by Lancome or Print (matte gray) by MAC) to tone it down. It gives it the perfect look.

Holy shimmer batman! The silver shimmer in these overwhelms the actual colours. As always with Dior shadows these are blendable, pigmented and long lasting but the shine is just too much for this girl. The silverness of it overwhelms my face and washes me out. I did get some use out of it on Halloween though... Will probably pass this on to a darker skinned gal who may be able to work it.

This quintet is great but a little bit too shimmery- not glittery (forget NARS disco ball effect). The texture os silky and the colours very natural and wearable. Perfect for a day look which can be transformed into an evening look. The browns are warm and the white works perfectly as a highlighter on the inner corner of the eyes. Even if I am warm toned this cool tone quintet works amazingly. Not too convinced with the the white, which is is very tacky. Texture is amazing and packaging very sleek.

Not loving this quint. Far too glittery for me. I use the darker browns very lightly over other eyeshadows when I want a pop of shimmer, but overall disappointed.

I got this as a gift from my hubby a couple of years ago, and it's an amazing palette. I have pale skin, red hair and blue eyes, and this is the perfect day-to-night palette for me. It's easy to do really pretty day neutral looks with this palette that can be vamped up with more crease and outer v colors for night. The very soft pearly finish of the shadows is so pretty and I find that these shadows last all day (even without eye primer!!) on my somewhat oily lids. This is an awesome product, and if you are able to, I highly recommend you try it!

Love this quint! I have wanted to try it out since I saw it in a magazine this summer and was finally able to swap for it recently. I am very impressed by how pretty it looks on me, I dont find it too glittery/frosty/shimmery at all, and I am cautious about shimmery shadows since I am getting "older" and dont want to look ridiculous. So far Ive just used 3 of the shades- the taupe-brown in crease, darker brown on lid and to line bottom and gold as highlighter and inner eye area. Its a beautiful look and I can see myself getting alot of use out of this quint. I would purchase again if I used it all up but that will probably take a long time:)

The texture of these shadows is wonderful. They are soft, buttery-smooth, and long-lasting. All of the colors in this palette are very wearable shades within the neutral color spectrum, but are also imbued with iridescence. They work very well with each other, although I kind of wish that the darker shade was darker. The packaging is gorgeous.

A picture's worth a thousand words~!

Color descriptions:
-1 and 2 are both very pale, very sparkly shades. On my skin, they look almost exactly alike, with 2 being *ever* so slightly pinker.
-3 is a light cream, rather than a gold - perhaps comparable to MAC Ricepaper. It's beautiful as a inner lid color, and as a highlight color.
-4: a beautiful, mid-toned true taupe. Gorgeous and extremely versatile as a lid shade.
-5: a darker, more pewter-colored taupe.

Price Comparisons:
-Dior Quint: $58 for 0.21 oz: $276.19/oz; $11.6 per shadow
-MAC: $14.5 for .05 oz: $290/oz
-UD: $17 for .05 oz: $340/oz

Now that I think about it, I really don't know why I shelled out so much money for this palette. It really isn't all that. I actually stopped using it for quite some time now because the colors didnt work for me. They are too glittery for my taste & I really don't understand the random pink color, which doesnt go with the color scheme at all. Totally regret buying this, but its too late now to return. I'm better off making my own palette from MAC.

I love this and I am so glad I bought it. Although I use Mystic Eyes and Kaska Beige from Chanel this adds a nice shimmery touch to my collection. At first I thought what do I do with so much shimmer but when I used the Mac Paint Pots in Painterly underneath it toned it down a bit, and I keep the shimmer in the crease and lid and use a matte shadow on the browbone- like Sand from Smashbox. This combo gives a nice day look. Topped it off with Chanel's waterproof eyeliner and I do the happy dance! Love it.

Love this quint. It is my first one from Dior, and I have to say I am in love. I had been keeping my eye on it for some time, and finally gave in and bought it. I was hesitant because it was so expensive, but when I got home, I immediately tried out several looks, and I have to say I am extremely pleased. I love that it is several colors in one compact, which I prefer to use when I am traveling. I would definitely suggest using these shadows over a primer or base. I tried both udpp and my bare study paint pot and both provided fabulous color payoff and lasted quite a while.

I have to say I was really disappointed in how these colors looked on me. It must be my skin tone which is fair but has some pink to it. I love the 5 colour and have had really good luck with Incognito and Nude Pink Design (which is also very shiny). I did take it back to Sephora and they were nice enough to exchange.

I have and love Incognito in the Dior Quints, so I've been thinking about another one, so I tried this one; Earth Reflection. Fortunately I asked the sales assistant to do a tester on my eyelids first. I won't buy this. Here is why.

Even though it is a beautiful collection of neutral beiges and browns in the pan, very little actual colour shows up. Instead once on the skin there is a strong disco ball SHINE! in metallic shiny SILVER no less.

There was silver with a hint of beige, silver with a hint of taupe and even straight silver, all bright and impossibly shiny.

Way too shiny. This is 70's era disco ball glitter as another reviewer noted.

However on the plus side, this has the usual silky soft, buttery smooth Dior eye shadow feel and in spite of the glittering sheen, I didn't react as I usually do to an excess of mica. This doesn't feel scratchy and so far, hours later, hasn't flaked off either.

But it is clashing horribly with the rest of my makeup and me. I'm a golden skin tone, very pale, red hair and my eyes are green. The silver is a very jarring note, which is odd too, because nothing in this quint looks silver in the pan, it all looks like earth tones.

Side by side it looks like it tones in with Incognito (earth tones and neutrals).

I give full marks for wear time, texture and feel on the skin, but I'm taking 2 lippies off for the serious disconnect between what is in the pan looking up at the hapless cosmetic buyer, and what finally ends up beaming and glittering off her eyelids.

Buyer beware. And nope, not gonna pop for this baby.

It truly pains me to return this, but I've decided I have no choice. The colors are wonderful and in my experience ones that are so hard to find, either on their own or together. Neutrals that are not too warm and not super cool, coolish browns-wonderful. I can wear every single one of these colors and I always trying to find just these types of color palettes. So much so, that if the shimmer factor were toned down even as much as one third, I'd gladly pay twice price to get them. I'But they are just too frosty. No getting around it. I've sampled and played and if used very lightly I can get a nice base and maybe?? one other color as an accent. But even then, it is iffy, and I'd like to be able to use more of the palette together. I almost kept it just for the fact of the colors, figuring I could mix and match with other palettes, but then tonight I did a test with a Armani shadow as a base and a scott barnes in the crease on one eye against the lightest gold base and the lightest brown in the crease. Unfortunately it showed the difference. The Armani and Scott Barnes weren't matte shadows, they gleamed and shone and were classy, while unfortunately in comparison the Dior looked ultra frosty and not terribly sophisticated. That decided it for me. I truly truly hate to do it, but these are not for me.
