I'm not sure about this. That being said, it is probably the best exfoliant I a have tried. That isn't saying much being that sandy exfol. aren't my cup of tea.
I wish it was in a pump. In the shower it gets H2O in the cap. If you are @ the sinkside you get it all over the container if you reach for more. You cannot visibly see how much is left. So 1 lippie off for packaging.
As the other reviewers have pointed out you can use this in diff manners. I have used this -- all methods and each and every on has been irritating. I do not know if it is from the texture or the citrus fruit acids.
Used full strength the burning takes my breath away-not in a good way.
So why would I buy it again? I haven't found anything better. Also...I had used it awhile (diluted version daily about 2 wks) and ran out to buy a blush that was about to be pulled off the shelves to be discontinued. The SA said my skin was flawless. I did not have a stitch of makeup on. I had not bought anything in the longest time EXCEPT for this so that was the only explaination. I didn't make it in time for the blush, the SA knew I wasn't going to buy anything, and I know this SA, she isn't that nice. It was def. the darn scrub.

I went through a phase with Fresh products about seven years ago, and while I liked some of the products well enough, the price point put me off. If Sephora hadn't sent me this as a GWP I would have never tried it, though the description sounded lovely.
Scent: Scent can really make or break a product for me, especially if it smells chemical-esque or plastic-like. The smell of the scrub is really pleasant and subtle, with an essence of apple.
The scrub can be used either like a mask, a strong scrub, or a gentle scrub. To use like a mask, apply it to clean skin and leave it on for several minutes (if it is your first time using this product, you might want to work up to using this as a mask. To use a strong scrub, you can use it in place of a cleanser. I very lightly wet my face just so it is easier to spread. To use as a mild scrub, dilute product with water. (This is also a good method if you want to use it every day.)
Results: My skin was left looking very bright and rosy. It did a wonderful job of exfoliating, and my skin did not get dried out at all. In fact, it felt wonderful smooth. It didn't do very much to help with acne, but it has helped fade scars and even out my skin tone. It's especially nice as a brightener (as the name implies.) If your skin is looking ruddy, spend about 5 minutes with this scrub and you'll be good to go!
Price- Of course, it's expensive, as with most Fresh products. Ebay sometimes has some good deals on this particular scrub, but for the effort, you may as well just order it from Sephora or Beauty.com. Both retailers participate with ebates, so you can get some cash back. Beauty.com has a GWP for Fresh right now (As of 3/13/09) where you get a packet of sugar scrub with a $45 Fresh purchase. They also have a $10 off $60 promotion too. Check retailmenot.com for more details.

I love this facial scrub and will definitely buy it again. It's very natural and doesn't seem to "scratch" my face too much. No sticky feeling after either. Very nice!

I love the smell of this product, very soothing and after the use, my face felt much smoother. Not sure it really brightens my skin or not since I usually use it right before the bed.

This is the second product I have tried from the Fresh line after the Soy Cleanser. I use it as a weekly treat to my face. Here are the things I love about this product:
1. It brightens my face noticeably.
2. My face gets super soft after using it.
3. The refreshing smell. It smells like tea tree oil.
4. No breakout!! (I have very sensitive skin that is allergic to many scrubs, but not this one!!)
5. The mess-free packaging. I love the toothpaste type of design. The slender packaging makes it easy to travel with.
One lippie off because of the price. But with my usage (once a week), I think it will last a good while...or so I hope.

My skin has been looking pretty bad in the last few months, probably from trying all different skin care lines. Plus I started getting even more age spots when I turned 40. Was hesitant to buy this because it's $60 but it's AMAZING!! I've used it 3 days in row just to clean out all my blocked pores and my skin is already benefiting from it. The best part is that you only need a small quarter size amount and it lathers up and spreads nicely over your skin. This means the tube will last a good long while and you can also dilute it with water to use daily. I am also using the Appleseed Essence as well (great stuff). I will definitely repurchase this and now I want to try the Peel.

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING stuff. Wow.
I've had this strange, unknown skin condition on my chin.
The skin gets thick, flaky, and riddled with millia. It's looks horrible and hurts just a bit.
I've tried countless products on my face. Most get rid of the excess dead skin, but the constant breakouts are still there. The rest of my face is flawless, except this area!
I was getting ready to make an appointment at the dermatologist when I received a deluxe sample of this and the Brightening Essence from Sephora. I honestly didn't think this stuff was going to do me any good, but gave it a go anyway.
I've NEVER used a product in my life that gave me immediate results. I used this as one would, rinsed and dried my face and then went to watch TV for a bit. When it came time to carry on with the remainder of my beauty routine, I was floored by what I saw.
My skin looked... normal. Radiant, too! It felt so smooth. I was amazed, and decided to slather on a bit of the Brightening Essence. Even better!
I've been using it religiously 2x a day and my skin looks incredible. All the dryness and congestion are gone. Smooth like butter! This product was completely non-irritating, and didn't feel all that abrasive, as a lot of exfoliants do. I suppose it's all the fruit acids contained in the product.
The smell (yes it has one) is divine. It reminds me of the Apple Pectin shampoo I used to use in the '80s.
The price is a bit off-putting... around $60 for this exfoliant. I will GLADLY drop the money for this. It beats shelling out other would-be solutions that actually don't work (I've spent too much money on rubbish that did nothing to fix my chin, or that made it worse)... or even worse, trips to the dermatologist.
This product is one huge win for Fresh, and for me!
I don't think I've ever been this pleased with a beauty product.

Love it! I'm a huge fan of the Fresh Appleseed Resurfacing Kit so when I heard there was a new scrub and serum coming out I had to get samples right away and they were no disappointment, I bought them as soon as they came out. The great thing about the scrub is I don't have to do the full three step Peel Kit for a quick skin fix. The scrub is more exfoliating than the Sugar face polish (which I still love) and combines not only a chemical exfoliant (AHA from citrus) but a physical (bamboo and pomegranate seed) one as well. The result is a great scrub that really gets down to business. My skin is dry and sensitive but I do not find this product irritating at all. I could see the difference the first time I used it. My skin is fair but prone to redness and freckling but once I washed to off I could see and nice glow and everything was more even and super smooth. Really I have to sing it's praises because when I first tested it I had bronchitis and my skin looked like sh@t to put it mildly. This brought me right back even though I was still uber sick state.
The scrub is meant to be used 2x a week and not on the same day as the Peel kit. The Essence works well with it and I look forward to reporting back on that product too. At 60 dollars I hate the price but it's a big tube and I can see it lasting a long time. I did see you could use the scrub everyday if you dilute it with water but I don't think it's a good idea myself. Because of the AHA in this you need to wear sunscreen too. I think anyone 30 and over will appreciate the benefits of this scrub/AHA treatment.
