Great shimmer effects - nice and not tacky. I only use this when going out though.

The product is decent, pretty natural looking, and it does last a long time. But i still think it's too expensive for what it is. Also I do think it's just a tad too orangey...

I cannot believe I am going to say I love this product. Being in my 40's I am not crazy about to much shimmer. I got this in a swap. I had tried it on in the store. I use LM skunk finishing brush. It looks gorgeous! Not to shimmery for me. I just sweep it up my cheekbones and to my temple. This product will probably last me 10 yrs. It does not take much. I am PPP and this has just the right amount of pink to look natural on me. NO orange or looking dirty.

in the pan it's a gorgeous bronzey pink w/ gold shimmers that comes in a glam screw top pan. You have to apply with a skunk brush because it's so heavily pigmented. It is described as giving you "radiance and luminosity" and yes it does. Indoors. Outdoors omg. The shimmer is so OTT I feel like you can see my cheeks from afar. And the size of the shimmer is perfect but it is just too damn much shimmer for a bronzer/blush. It's very pricey too. So no, no repurchase.

Guerlain Terracotta Soleils de Legende in Orient Sun is a gorgeous, shimmery pinky bronze powder. Yes, the texture is like MAC MSFs (at their most pigmented, finely milled best). The finish is not chromey. I applied several layers with a fluffy powder brush just to test it. In regular office lighting, it looks like any blush/bronzer in terms of texture and finish. I don't look like Tin Man. Out in sunlight, it's wonderfully glowy. I ♥ Orient Sun as a blush, highlighter, and contour in one. Just follow your cheekbone, sweeping upward. You can't go wrong. This is a must-have.

Like the boards have mentioned, Orient Sun is more like an MSF than a bronzer or a blush, in both texture, dome shape and color.
This product is not for those who are against sparkly, chrome-y finishes. This is a high pearl product. The best way to describe the color would be that orient sun is similar to poudre d'orient, but with a definite chrome finish. The only way to offset this chromey-ness is to use a really soft brush and build up (I use my shu 27 brush).
So how do I use this? As a blush/highlighter. WAY too much chrome to use as a bronzer if you are pale like I am, although it could be nice as a bronzer on darker skins if you were going to be outside. In fact, I looked ever so slightly discoball inside in artificial light, but outside the pearl was gorgeous.
In Switzerland, this is cheaper than I expected (60 Francs for which I got 15% off) but not a lot of product for the price, even when you think of similar Guerlain products. Would rebuy (marking yes) in the event of a re-issue.

This is another LE bronzer from Guerlain for 2008. Available in 3 shades:
• Orient Sun: For a touch of pink that delivers a radiant, sheer luminosity.
• Indian Bronze: A perfect golden shade to create a sensual and sophisticated aura;
• Africa Rythm: Captures the beauty of intense coppery tones for a deep bronzed sheen, creating radiant effect.
Each of the 3 shades has a compact with different design on the lid. Orient Sun is the one reminescent of wood cut length wise.

I got the Orient Sun and as much as I don't see this alleged touch of pink it's a nice copper bronzer and it does give the promised radiant luminosity. I have to apply it with light hand but it looks natural not orangey and I adore the effect of sun kissed glowing skin it gives me. These bronzers are quite expensive at USD 57 for a 0.21oz/6g of product, but I take it will last me forever since I mostly collect bronzers and never actually finished one yet. I love the design of the packaging - looks elegant, like it belongs to expensive quality bronzer.
