Awesome mask, brighten your skin tone instantly. It is gentle and I normally apply on the face after I took out blackhead/whiteheads. A bit pricey but worth it.

wow. this is just heaven sent for me. its so great at deep expholateing and on breakouts. all you need is a thin layer over your face and after 10min i was left with glowing super soft skin. it clears up my breakouts so fast. its quite expensive but it does last and my skin has never been better!

Did very little for my skin. So disappointed, as it's expensive and my facialist highly recommended. I have used 3/4 of the jar, as I like to give products a chance before I review. No visible results to speak of. By chance I was @ Sephora over the weekend and rec'd a sample of the REN glycolactic peel mask. I used it last night, not really expecting anything and WOW - for the first time in so long, my skin felt exfoliated and sooo soft. Great results....reinforced the fact that the Kerafole does nothing for my skin. I will be purchasing the REN mask!

So far this is the only thing that exfoliates my skin without causing me any problems. I only use this once a week and I do leave it on a little bit longer than the recommended amount of time. When I rinse my face it is clear and smooth and I love it! I find if I use this more often it can be irritating but I also have sensitive skin so.. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something to gently exfoliate without the use of harsh scrubs.

The mask stings very briefly at first (it's the algae) and when it dries, it leaves my skin feeling softer and clearer. It does purge the skin so expect a few pimples at first but they heal real fast. Was ineffective after regular use; didn't get the same results as when I first started.
*Update: From using everything Bioelements for the past six months, my skin is littered with cystic acne and whiteheads. My "esthetician" says to "wait it out" but sorry I expect my skin to get better not WORSE after spending hundreds of dollars on facials and these worthless products.

I figured I'd buy this since so many people use this after the Pumice Peel and I for one, always want the best results for my skin. This is great because the Pumice Peel really exfoliates the skin perfectly, and this will unclog the pores and sooth the skin at the same time. It leaves my skin very soft and smooth. It has a very strong botanical smell as well.

I should say that I said I would buy this again, but I haven't bought it at all yet, just used samples because they are always sold out. That should say it all. This is a clay based chemical exfoliant. I find it very gentle but extremely effective. Some are sensitive to these types of peels, but I've used many before so I can leave this on forever with no irritation. Leaves my skin sooooo smooth and my moisturizers work so much better after using this. I'm waiting for my jar to come in at my local spa (I should probably buy two because it will sell out immediately). 'nuf said!

I discovered this product after a facial when I looked in the mirror and noticed my blackheads and large pores had vanished.
Kerafole usually comes in a small glass tub, about 2 or so ounces. It costs around $50 but you only need a dime-size amount for each application, so it lasts a long time.
As others have mentioned, you clean your face, then gently apply the sort of creamy, clayish product on your face. It smells a bit "off" after a few minutes, and as you reach your 10 minutes it will sting a bit but is very tolerable. After using I notice even skin tone and feel, and drastically reduced appearance of pores and blackheads.
I used it a lot and did a few-day purge when I first got it, then took a break to conserve product. I noticed that if I treated it like a cleanser and didn't put it on a clean face that it didn't work as well. Because of the price of the product, I also found it best used when kept on for the full 10 minutes - my preferred time is during showers so I get some steam/heat to help it sink in.
I am one of those people who always hopes for a miracle product and out of all of my hair and face stuff, this is by far the closest thing to that.

I purchased this exfoliating, pore un clogging, skin refreshing, 10 minute mask in a set of a couple different Bioelements products called "The Kerafole Purge". In the kit comes full sizes of "Kerafole", "Lip Buff", and "Stress Solution". Each product can be bought and used alone, but the purpose of the kit (aside from saving yourself some money) is to use all three of the products together for 7 consecutive days, with no skipping. at the end of the week, you are to have the best skin ever. After doing that, and seeing the AMAZING RESULTS, I use the Kerafole twice a week, and love the fact that it is not thick or pasty-looking. It is almost clear-ish when you put it on, so you can walk around not looking like the abominable snowman.
After ten minutes with the mask on, I just rinse it off with warm water and feel smoother, brighter, more even-toned skin.

I love this stuff. It works well with my patchy dry skin. I've been using it once a week for the past few months and I still feel it working. I like leaving it on at night for ten minutes (tho it really burns) and waking up to a beautiful glow.

I received this as a sample in one of many skincare orders online.
Anyway, I tried this last night and it is really amazing. It tingles a bit but it feels more like a heavy cream going on. I left it on 10 minutes as directed and after washing it off, my skin felt extremely soft and smooth. This morning my skin still feels amazingly smooth and hydrated. I have acne-prone, extrememly oily skin, sensitive at times, and prone to some dry patches during winter.
I wish Skinstore sold this because I'm about to place an order for Colorescience Almost Clear Sunscreen powder (TRULY AMAZING) and wanted to get the Kerafole too. Guess I'll have to search elsewhere.
Definitely will purchase - no burning and goes on the skin smoothly so you don't have to use a lot to spread. LOVE IT!!!

UPDATE: They changed the formula. It now smells nice - like cloves, as opposed to petroleum like the old stuff - but does nothing to exfoliate. I wrote to Bioelements and they said that they have a new source for algae and "you might not notice the tingling anymore." Bioelements claims that everything else is the same, but that doesn't seem to be the case - just a quick, side-by-side comparison of ingredients shows that. The texture is different, too. It seems more like a night cream or something now. My Tazorac-induced dry patches are back in full force and I'm so, so sad about this. After a few tries, I sent the remainder of my jar back to Dermstore, which happily agreed to refund my $45. I now look for a new chemical exfoliator. sigh
This is a chemical (as opposed to manual) exfoliator that is gentle enough to use on my acne prone, dehydrated skin. Other exfoliators make me break out horribly, but my esthetician recommended this one because I really did need one -- I had horrible blackheads and dry patches from not exfoliating, but was afraid to do it because every product seemed to make things worse. I did break out a bit the first few times I used Kerafole, but nothing like I had with other stuff. Now it just gives me clear, nice skin when I put it on once a week. It does smell a bit weird, but it's not strong.
