This stuff made scalp seriously dry, itchy, flaky, and I had way more hair than usual fall out. Also it has sulfates, but the smell was wonderful.

This stuff is HORRIBLE. It leaves a very greasy film on my hair, which in turn, causes my scalp to overproduce oil to counteract the problem. What I end up with the next day is a greasy scalp and lackluster locks. I do not recommend this shampoo to anyone.

Absolutely LOVE this shampoo! Did wonders for my hair. The smell is fantastic and really made my hair soft. This was my first time trying Herbal Essences and I have to say I'm hooked for life. I try new shampoos ALL the time. I have tried Suave, Pantene, Head&Shoulders, Garnier Fructis, Finesse, TRESemme, and PERT. But they all made my hair fall out in the shower. But this shampoo didn't. This was recommended by my friend and I'd definitely recommend this to anyone.

I've been using this for about 2 months now and i'm really growing to love it. It smells really great and the smell stays for the next day after washing. I found that this helps with the dry time of my hair. It usually takes 6 hours for my hair to dry completely, with this shampoo i realized it only takes 3-4 hours. Also this stuff realllllly cleanses your hair! my hair is still VERY fresh on the second day! It looks like I just washed it. I really enjoy this shampoo

The Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship shampoo is a plesently scented, light pink shampoo that comes in a red bottle with pretty writing on it. I love the little tips that come on each bottle, but that's pretty much where the love stops with this. The scent is very sweet, and after a while, I found myself being almost nauesated by it because I'd smell it on my hair after I rinsed, and the day after showering it would still linger on it. I also found that it caused me to break out on my hairline, but it was nothing major, and I wouldn't dock points if it had done what I wanted it to, which was help make my hair longer. After using it for a few months, I finally had to face the facts- it did nothing for my hair. No shine (which I need- my hair is super dull), no softness (but I have pretty soft hair natrually)...nothing. If anything, it dried out my hair. I won't repurchase, but if you have oily hair and just want a cleansing shampoo and don't mind strong scents, I would probably recomed this to you.

This "Long term relationship" shampoo is like a love-hate relationship because it did wonders form my damaged wavy hair. It added definition to my waves making them look tousled, frizz free, soft, manageable and left my ends looking healthy.......BUT I hate it because it made my scalp annoyingly itchy after 2 uses. Plus I asked my mom to pick it up for me and she got me the 700 mL bottle instead of the 300 mL. I think it is worth a try because not everyone got the same reaction as I did, just make sure to get the smaller bottle. But for now my mom is using it because she loves it and she has super frizzy hair that is curly (spiral curls).

I was skeptical purchasing this product, I have grown my hair out using the NISIM Fast set, which was amazing, However, Fast is on the pricey side, so I started using the Tresemme multivitamin 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner. That shampoo is horrible! It made my hair dry and caused it to fall out. So, I was in Walmart, and I saw this for about $4.99 for the 23.7 oz bottle and decided to get the shampoo and conditioner. I don't normally use Herbal Essences product, except for the occasional purchase of hairspray. The bottle said it would prevent breakage and keep my long hair healthy. The first use I saw absolutely no difference. There was hair still falling out all over the place. I just used it again for the second time yesterday and may I say, my hair breakage/falling out has been cut in half! Which to me, is amazing. The smell is great, very fun and flirty and it stays in hair for quite a while. Unlike other reviewers, this doesn't build up or leave any residue behind in my hair or scalp. It makes it soft, clean, and shiny! I l am starting to love this product already!

Makes hair soft, and silky. Before using this product, my hair was a little course and slightly unruly, this sleeked it out and made it smooth. However it does make my hair a little oily if I put too much conditioner in, in fact I only used about a tablespoon of conditioner for my shoulder length hair and it was almost too much. But for the price, this is very good.

Herbal Essences' Long Term Relationship Shampoo&Conditioner are a hair care system, along with a leave in conditioner and a hair mask. Long Term Relationship is meant to prevent long hair from damage and split ends, all while keeping it satin soft. The formula is "inspired by the finest" and features Red Raspberries (as opposed to blue?), and Brazilian silk. I purchased the shampoo and conditioner at Rite Aid for $4.45 each, but they can usually be found for much cheaper, Herbal Essences almost always has a sale or coupon out. Herbal Essences is a widely available brand, and make their products in the US out of US and Imported ingredients. Herbal Essences claims they don't test on animals, but I've heard conflicting information, so check a source you trust before deciding to use their products.
Packaging is the same wavy bodied bottles found in the rest of the Herbal Essences line up. The shampoo bottle, made of translucent red plastic, stands up right and has a pop up, green, dispenser, the conditioner bottle stands top down, and is made of opaque red plastic. Both bottles feature the tagline "Love Your Long Hair". Both bottles are recyclable. The label features what appears to be sprigs of grassy plants and little trees. I don't know what that has to do with hair. Maybe they're trying really hard to convey a natural image for the brand. Maybe they're trying to say this shampoo will make your hair grow as fast as grass. Maybe I'm reading into it too much.
I really like how Herbal Essences prints little facts, trivia questions, and tips on the back labels of their bottles. It makes the brand seem fun and current, and besides, who doesn't love reading in the bath tub?
The scent of this shampoo/conditioner is kinda fantastic. Herbal Essences lists the scent notes as berries, violet, cherry wood, jasmine petals, and red orchids. The violet scent is pretty strong in this shampoo, which is good in my book. Violet is one of my favorite scent notes, but some find it obnoxious, so give this shampoo a sniff before you buy. I pick up the berries, jasmine, and orchids in this as well, but the cherry wood seems lost in the mix to me. Maybe someone with a stronger nose can pick it out, but my sense of smell has been kinda fail since my adenoidectomy. All up though, this scent is some kind of wonderful. It kinda makes me drool. /attractive and feminine.
Long Term Relationship shampoo is a thick, creamy, pearly pink gel. Much like Hello Hydration, I have to use a lot of this shampoo to get enough lather to coat my long, nearly waist length hair. For a shampoo for long hair, you think Herbal Essences would've taken something like that into account. Maybe they did, and figured we'd buy more shampoo if we have to use lots. Either way this shampoo isn't a class A latherer. I've found this to be true of all creamy formula Herbal Essences shampoos.
The matching conditioner is a creamy, thick, pink substance that resembles raspberry yogurt, my kryptonite. For the first time ever, I'm going through a shampoo faster than a conditioner. I have tons of this stuff left. This conditioner goes the distance, it spreads evenly through my hair, coating all of it with only a bit of product.
How does Long Term Relationship perform? Is it protecting my hair from damage and split ends? I think it might be. I have naturally strong hair that rarely gets split ends no matter how long it gets. I've gone a year without a hair cut and only needed 1/2 an inch cut off because of splits n'at. However, I notice that my hair doesn't get matted as badly as it did before I started using Long Term Relationship. The knots that I do get are easily detangled by the conditioner. The shampoo alone seems to keep my hair smooth and clear for at least two days. Win.
So will I have a Long Term Relationship with this shampoo and conditioner? Maybe one day, after my Herbal Essences series is completed. I really like how it manages my hair for me. The only real negative I have for this shampoo is how fast I'm going through it. Maybe if I repurchase I'll go for the family sized bottle. I recommend this epic shampoo and conditioner if you have long hair that's relatively healthy, and want to maintain it.
Next in the series: None of Your Frizzness

I have really, really long hair and decided to try this out since I love the Body Envy shampoo by Herbal Essences. I feel like the only person who doesn't think this stuff & its conditioner smells good, but I am not a fan of the scent. It doesn't actually smell like raspberries. It didn't do much but just very basically clean my hair. If someone gave me this I'd use it, but I would not buy this again.

This shampoo isn't moisturizing like it claims to be, but really, does anyone believe a moisturizing cleansing agent exists?
That said, if you wet your hair thouroughly before use, only use a very tiny amount, and leave it in for no longer than ten seconds, it works suprisingly well. Just be sure to use a generous heap of the conditioner, and leave it in for a long time. That's what I do.
It's a meh.

It's your average drugstore shampoo. It gets the job done and is decently priced. I love the smell and the packaging isn't boring either. :)

This shampoo is the WORST I have ever tried!!!! I really wanted to like it... the only good thing about it is the package but it doesnīt even really smell like raspberries, it smells like any other shampoo (it smells like Pantene to me)... This stuff left my hair terribly dry and my scalp was flaking after just one use!!!! I have long hair and this was suposed to be good stuff for me but even after using conditioner and treatment I had a hard time trying to detangle my hair. When I air dry my hair it takes about 3 hours to get completely dry because I have a lot of hair, but after using this shampoo my hair was so dehydrated that was completely dry in 20 minutes and felling like a loofah. I canīt explain how much I hate this shampoo... I wonīt buy this never ever again.

I really enjoy this shampoo! Well not just the shampoo, but also the conditioner and leave-in treatment. First off, it does not smell like raspberries. However, I'm not complaining. It has an aroma similar to Pantene. I love the smell of Pantene, but it just doesn't do my wallet justice. On that note, it's quite inexpensive. Not dirt cheap, but not salon price. It's about $3 at Wal-Mart for the small size and about $5 for the larger one (great bargain). I like how this lathers up with a small amount (I use a quarter-size amount). I scrub this all over my head then rinse. Then I apply the conditioner. They make my hair smell delicious, but wait-- there's more! After I get out of the shower I towel dry my hair, then apply the leave-in treatment. After ny hair has dried, I comb through it and VOILA! Gorgeous, soft, smooth, shiny, and amazing smelling hair! I get alot of compliments on my hair on how beautiful it is. I would give it five lippies, but the price bothers me. I used to pay less than $3 for 32 oz of my Suave Sleek shampoo and conditioner. Overall, I really love this collection and will purchase it until it doesn't satisfy my hair anymore :D

Long Term Relationship smells amazing! That's the first thing that drew me to this product, as well as the cute packaging.
I've been using Herbal Essences since I was a little girl and I'll always be drawn back to them because of the wonderful scents. Now that I'm older and colour my hair (light brown to platinum blonde) I definitely need to give my hair a lot more TLC. For the most part drugstore shampoos don't cut it for me, but I do use them as 'fillers' (in between use of my high end products) so that my hair doesn't become dependant on or resistent to anything.
To be completely honest though, this isn't that bad! It takes the smallest amount of product to completely saturate my hair, which makes it very cost-effective. It lathers very richly and smoothly, and the smell develops into something much more divine. It feels very lightweight and bubbly when I lather it up, which is surprising for a shampoo that contains sulfates, some shampoos with sulfates make my hair feel weighty and harsh due to the amount in them. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a nice drugstore shampoo.

This shampoo's pros- smelled good, took only a small amount to go through all my hair, pretty affordable, really nice packaging.
cons: it didn't exactly make my hair soft- I had to use quite a bit of conditioner, and my scalp had this weird, waxy, hot kind of feel on it. It didn't work too well there. I guess if your hair isn't too oily this shampoo would work pretty well, but I wouldn't repurchase it as my hair is a bit greasy and I like my scalp to feel fresh.
EDIT!
Okay, I've been using this product for a bit longer now. It actually turns out that it cleanses my scalp fine. It still dries out my hair a little bit, but I use the conditioner along with it, and it turns out great. I would repurchase this, but along with a separate, more moisturizing conditioner.
Oh yes the smell is heaven, too.

I have VERY fine, straight, long hair. I tried pantene fine hair solutions and it effed up my hair big time; I bought this on a whim at target and didn't expect it to do anything to my already dry hair from the result of the pantene shampoo and conditioner, and holy mother of god, this stuff is amazing for the price. it smells wonderful, and my hair feels so soft and healthy! the shampoo and conditioner combo is excellent, and for only less than $6, can't go wrong with that! I'll definitely repurchase this!!
