It stinks and dries my hair out, but I didn't hate it so much until I realize what real damage it's done to my hair! 4 weeks into using this shampoo, I found myself losing 3 times as much hair as usual. I just threw it out last night, along with the stinking conditioner, 'cause I want to keep my hair. Worst shampoo ever.

This minty shampoo works okay on my fine, oily at roots, drier at ends hair. Regular price for a large 16 ounce bottle is $10.95, but I purchased mine online for around $6. I do notice a bit more shedding than usual with this shampoo/ conditioner combo, and there a still a few questionable ingredients. After drying, my hair is a wee bit staticy with the ends still looking a little dry, but not nearly as dry/ tangled as with some other natural shampoos. The Desert Essence line is better over this one for my hair so I am switching over, mostly due to the shedding that I am experiencing.

The first couple of weeks I really liked this shampoo. I like the refreshing smell and this did not strip my colored hair. But then I noticed my scalp starting to really itch. Then I realized I had dandruff for the first time in years. I went back to my old shampoo and a few days later dandruff is gone.

A good clarifying shampoo. I have scalp issues and this has not made them flare up. Slightly drying, so I only use every few days, and always follow up with the matching conditioner

This is the best sulfate-free shampoo I've used. It effectively cleanses without stripping and has a great, clean scent that isn't overwhelming. I also noticed it reduced any scalp flakiness I had as well. I pair this with Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose conditioner for shiny, bouncy curls and I couldn't be happier. My only complaint is I've only been able to find this online and therefore have to pay shipping, but it's still worth it.

well this is better than the 'daily benefits' shampoo. the sulphates in these shampoos, however natural they may be, irritate my scalp. this shampoo I can use once a week at most, but it's a nice refreshing treat. the other one left me with an itchy scalp which wasn't a problem w/ this one thankfully. it got my hair nice and clean, but didn't dry it out at all. I doubt I will repurchase, but it's not a bad shampoo.

Love BWC dailey benefits but weighs down my superfine highlighted blonde hair if used everyday. 7.99 Whole Foods(or online) not all Whole foods have this. BWC Rosemary Mint is filled with great all natural ingredients and the mild cleanser olen sulphinate.(Some people say its plant derived, others say its a chemical, a gentle one though) smells minty fresh and makes hair super clean and soft. Gives my limp hair volumne, as another reviewer noted...I don't know why. Love it, and will alternate with BWC Daily Benefits as I feel this might be drying over time if used everyday. Vita cost sells it for 5 bucks or so as well. This is a great value and a cool ethically minded one as well. No animal testing, parabens, sls and vegan. Love it!

Pros: gentle, lightly scented, veg ingredients, paraben & SLS free
Cons: have to special order from my local HF store

This is very gentle for my hair. It has a thicker consistancy but lathers up fast and well. The light herbal mint scent goes great with my Trader Joe's Refresh and Manor Hall ACV rinse.
It is more moisturzing than Nature's Gate Stayin' Alive, but not more than Nexxus Therrape. This made my scalp feel incredible. No tangles, rinsed easy.
This also had a volumous (is that a word?) effect on my hair. Even 'poos described as volume 'poos have never successfully brought my 2a hair volume so this is a nice perk.
I will not replace my HG Nexxus with this, but I will add it to my rotation for the days my scalp is particulary pesky!

i absolutely love this shampoo. shampoos have always just been shampoos to me - but this one changed that, & i will use it for as long as i can get my little hands on it.

i love Beauty Without Cruelty products, & i love the smell of mint shampoo (it reminds me of being at the salon, the shampoo girl always asks me, "do you want mint or.." & before she can even tell me my other option i say, "MINT, MINT!) anyways, when i saw this for sale at drugstore.com i instantly added it to my order.

when it arrived in the mail it definitely did not disappoint. i love the packaging, nice & simple. the shampoo itself is thinner than most in my opinion (i was previously using Jason's brands & it was thick as all get out). the BWC mint shampoo bubbles up really easily & smells devine. it also feels nice, cool & refreshing as you use it. kind of tingly. mm, i love it. a great way to wake up in the morning.

it also leaves my hair in better condition than it has ever been before! my hair is short/medium in length, colored, & naturally wavy. i flat iron it everyday so it gets alot of abuse. since it is dyed very dark it never has much demension or shine, which has always bothered me. but after washing with this shampoo my hair SHINES! even without conditioner. just this shampoo & my normal frizz serum.

this shampoo cleans my hair well without drying it out or making it brittle, it makes my hair soft without making it fluffy, & makes it shine without making it feel oily or greasy.

the only con is that no stores in my area carry Beauty Without Cruelty. i have been told it just doesn't sell well - which is such a shame. but i will continue to order this shampoo (along with other BWC products) from drugstore.com, ihealthtree.com (great prices), or special order from my local natural grocery store.

NOTE: I had rated this shampoo 5 stars, but I knocked one serious star off because it contains the petrochemical chemical ethyl hexyl glycerin, which is a form of Ethylene Oxide that reacts with other personal care ingredients to produce 1,4-Dioxane, which is known to cause cancer in the State of California (not to mention it is tested on animals and this is a BWC shampoo) (see http://www.organicconsumers.org/bodycare/DioxaneResults08.cfm)

This is really too bad since all of the other ingredients in this shampoo are great.

Until I find a shampoo I like that doesn't contain ethyl hexyl glycerin, I will use this BWC Rosemary Mint Tea Tree shampoo as needed and BWC's Daily Benefits shampoo daily. This rosemary, mint and tea tree shampoo is a little drying to use every day on my long, fine, hightlighted hair. However, it is great as a clarifying shampoo or as a medicated shampoo to chase away flakes during the winter. I have repurchased both shampoos repeatedly. I love them both!

A great shampoo. This and the matching conditioner have made me a fan of BWC. It lathers well but still seems to be quite gentle on my hair. When I use this with the conditioner I have great hair. I was hoping it would work on my dandruff because of the tea tree oil, but I don't think there is enough of it to help. Therefore, I still have to use The Body Shop's Ginger shampoo a couple of times a week.
