I thought this was going to be an excellent idea for my dry/acne prone skin. WRONG.
My skin broke out in HUGE ANGRY zits looking for revenge so I will not buy this ever.
The consistency is very thick and heavy, feels like a mask.
This was my first TM ever, and probably my last. I will try to mix my own with products I already know my skin likes.

I'm very sad this didn't work because the color (creme) is a perfect match for my complexion. I've heard of makeup "caking" before but never experienced it, until now. Even with a minimal amount of product it just sits on my skin and looks spackled on. I tried to apply it with fingers, with a blender, with a brush... It never helped. I wish it were thinner and easier to blend; I bet it would have been a wonder product. :(

Still playing with this one but so far its pretty good.... I havent tried it all over my face yet just cos i feel like its too thick...I've been using it as a concealer for under eyes/post spot marks in conjunction with the Josie Maran tinted SPF lotion (the one in the glass jar w/ the pump)... great results! This might be the one i use during the winter but for spring/summer i cant say ill try it all over lol

As far as tinted moisturizers go, this stuff is pretty good. Be warned, however, that it is thick, just like the consistency of sunscreen. It also smells like sunscreen, which I (personally) like. The coverage is light-medium. The only complaint I have about this product is that it takes FOREVER to absorb into your skin. I have to wait 20 minutes or so to apply bronzer. Another pro: it has a ton of sunblock, so you know that your skin is protected. Best applied with fingers or duo-fiber foundation brush.

I haven't worn makeup in quite a while, because of some acne problems and overall lack of time in the mornings, but I recently decided to try again, with a more streamlined and natural approach. I heard excellent things about argan oil, and chose this product over the Laura Mercier one I also sampled, because of its narural ingredient list. It seems to have definitely improved the quality of my skin, and I no longer have flaky, makeup covered patches of skin like I did before. People compliment my complexion all the time, even when I'm wearing the bare minimum amount of makeup. I'm definitely a believer in argan oil now!
This product is easy to apply (I use my fingers, clean of course), but it is a bit thick and dries quickly, so you have to work fast! For me, this wasn't a problem, because I got medium coverage in a short period of time, from only a pea sized amount. Before each use, make sure to knead the tube though, because the oil will sometimes separate.
This tinted moisturizer gave me a pleasantly dewy appearance, and looked very fresh and radiant. I have dry skin, so I'm not sure how well this would work on people with more oily skin, but I've set it with powder on some hot and humid days (I live in Florida), and it still manages to look radiant without being greasy, for the majority of my day. With a little bit of cheek/lip stain, mascara, and brow powder, one can achieve a very natural look in no time at all!

I've been using this tinted moisturizer for over a year now and absolutely love it. The coverage is in between a tinted moisturizer and a foundation which is perfect for days when I don't want to wear an actual foundation. You can mix it with a regular face lotion to thin out the coverage a bit too. I have noticed that if I do not leave it upright (cap on counter) that the oil and product separate a bit. I will be purchasing this product again very soon.

Per the review below, I am a pale-complexioned redhead, and Creme does suit me perfectly. I had first tried Butter, since sometimes I can be in between two shades, but it was a little too dark. Creme matches my skin tone perfectly and gives me a smooth porcelain complexion. I also love that it has an SPF of 30 and that it has argan oil in it. It's become my holy grail of tinted moisturizers. A little pricey, but worth it.

I can honestly say I hate this product with a passion. I am still using it, as I forgot to return it to QVC on time, but I hate it. Creme is like red head pale, I'm especially in the wintertime, but it's on the goth side, seriously. It's also cakey, just too thick & surprisingly dry, Does not blend at all.

This is the one. The first tinted moisturizer I've tried that I love. I wear this over my argan oil and it leaves a perfect, dewy finish without looking greasy. My skin looks healthy. I used BE for years but it's just not giving me the coverage I need anymore. I was on a what seemed to be never ending search for the perfect TM. The more I use it, the better my skin looks. Argan oil is a true wonder for my oily, sensitive skin. I am fairly light in BE and I use the cream TM in the winter and the butter in the summer.

Unfortunately, because of the high SPF, it has a sunscreen smell. That lasts ALL day. Combine that with a so-so color match (I'm actually between Creme and Butter), I returned it. Too bad as it kept me nice and moist all day and did not break me out. If you can get over the lasting smell, you might want to try this out, as it is almost like a BB cream, with
a nicer finish, for dryer skins.

I bumped my rating of 2.5 to 3.0 because of the SPF 30 in this product. I find this product to work better when I've applied a thin layer of Josie Maran's argan oil or primer underneath because the product itself is quite thick and not easy to blend. This moisturizes my face really well and comes in handy during times my skin is particularly dry. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with oily skin or wants light coverage and/or moisturizing. I think this product can be improved upon, but maybe this is my personal bias as I prefer TMs to be on the less dense side as this one has a creme-like consistency. This product may be best for naturally dry skin. As such, I wouldn't purchase this again for myself.

I found this product to be very greasy and too heavy on the skin. It feels like I was wearing a thick cake on my face. Also, if it sits in a bottle for a few days, or comes out like old lady's diarrhea. For some reason it separates into water and oil. Very disappointed with this product and would not recommend it !

after looking for a good tinted moisturizer i stumbled upon josie maran. I bought the shade 'creme' and at first i loved it, it had a nice finish and looked great. it has a very thick consistancy and is quite oily, i definitely wouldnt recommend this to someone with oily skin! within a few days of wearing it i noticed i have been getting breakouts and congested skin which i dont normally get. i'm disappointed that i spent so much on a tinted moisturizer that i cant wear on a daily basis. if you want to purchase this i HIGHLY recommend sampling it first and trying it out for a few days, dont rush like i did!

I have Josie Maran's argan oil concealer, which I love, so when I started running low on my tinted moisturizer, I decided to try this one out. I wear pure argan oil every day as a moisturizer, so the thickness of this TM is not really an issue for me. I find it easy to blend in. It also provides a bit more coverage than I was expecting, but it's still very natural looking, and like one other reviewer noted, the coverage is enough to hid some minor blemishes. I got this in Butter, the second lightest, and it is a near perfect match. I've never bothered to have my MAC foundation code done by a professional, but it being winter I'm probably an NW25 or so.
I've been wearing this all week, and haven't had any clogging of pores, or any other reactions. My skin is combination, and in winter tends toward dryness, but it isn't particularly sensitive.
I haven't had any issues yet with the product separating in the bottle, but that may change.
Overall, I am very happy with this TM, and would certainly repurchase.

I went to Sephora intending to re-buy LM tinted moisturizer, but decided to give this a test drive. As soon as I squeezed a bit on my hand I had a feeling I would love it. I should be clear that my reasons for loving it are probably the same reasons why others will hate it. My super dry skin absolutely loves the thick consistency. This is a cream, not a lotion, and it works best when you spread it with your fingers rather than a sponge or brush. I use Creme, the lightest shade, and I find it covers quite well. It is not full coverage, but enough so that it covers my ruddiness and evens out my skin tone while looking very natural. I also love the inclusion of argan oil which I think makes my skin glow. Best of all, this does not have the yellow cast that the LM tends have on me, nor does it have the dreaded white sunscreen cast. This will replace my LM on days I'm not looking for full coverage.

During the summer I had issues with this tinted moisturizer feeling heavy on my face because of sweat and excess oil production from my combo/oily skin, in combination with sunscreen and argan oil sitting on top of it. I gave it a break for the rest of the season until my skin started to dry up and tighten as fall/winter approached, so I decided to give this tinted moisturizer another chance. I absolutely LOVED it for winter use!
The texture of the tinted moisturizer is thicker than most typical lotions so this is difficult to spread for an even coverage and the thickness of it the formula can risk cakeyness. To counter this, I apply this in small amounts with my fingers by dotting it on my cheeks, chin, forehead, once under each eye, and whatever I have left is slicked on my T-zone where it's usually most oily. I then swirl the dots into each other thoroughly (you really need to blend), and am able to get evened-out skin.
Although I had to blot my oil during the summer, during the winter I never had to blot and for the first winter in a long time, the skin on my face didn't feel tight and stayed moisturized throughout the day. I used the tinted moisturizer by itself—no primer, and no setting powder. The tinted moisturizer's lasting power isn't great as far as pigmentation, since it's sheer-to-medium coverage and it does fade eventually, but otherwise it is very emollient. Setting powder may help this last longer but again, you risk caking.
I tried this tinted moisturizer in Linen (3) and Butter (2), and found Butter to be a better match for my skin tone (light/medium) and the great thing about it being sheer is that it this shade brightened my skin tone a little bit without looking like a mismatch. Unfortunately, the tinted moisturizers in this range may just work better for light to medium shades, but since they're sheer, I'm sure medium shades will work for deeper skin tones as a brightener as well.
My only problem with this tinted moisturizer as far as packaging goes is that if product leaks outside of the opening of the tube (even if inside the cap), it does harden into a stiff gel that can be peeled off, but if it gets stuck right at the opening of the tube, squeezing the tube may not only pop out the dried moisturizer (what an oxymoron) but it would also squeeze out more excess product (or even oil, if it for any reason separates). Definitely has to be a daily-use product just to keep the tube from clogging!
Other than that, I do recommend the formula for those with dry to normal skin all year long, and possibly for combination/oily skin for winter only. I would however stay away from it if you are acne prone, though, since it does contain an ingredient (wax) that can cause breakouts.

Tinted moisturizers always *seem* like such a good idea. Something light, casual, with enough coverage to hide little imperfection and unify the complexion, yet not so heavy as to feel like "makeup". Unfortunately, they often fall short of expectation and this one especially. I tried it in linen and desert.
Color match in linen is actually a good one for me. Oxidation seems to be minimal.
The thickness of this formulation is actually a plus for me, and expected of something with a high spf.
I applied it and used a powder blush, then set it with Laura Mercier loose powder.
Initially the effect was quite nice, if a bit more "made-up" than I'd expect from a TM. However, within a few hours I started to notice significant pore enlargement, oily patches and areas of my skin looking bumpier than others... Not a good thing. I'm not sure if the argan oil or some other ingredient contributes to this effect, but it's a no-go for me. My bare skin would look better than this. Would not recommend for any complexion.

When I first applied this product, I really loved the creamy thickness and overall coverage. However, after using this for two days, my chin and nose became VERY congested, my nose became covered in whiteheads (hardly ever happens) and my chin had visible whiteheads and pimples. I was very disappointed because I hear about all this goodness that argan oil does. All it did was aggravate my skin (I have been off prescription acne gel for 6 months and had no major problems with just a pimple here and there during my monthly time) and I actually had to go back to my prescription acne treatment gel to clear my skin. If you are oily/combo or have any tendency to break out, I would absolutely skip this. Awful product. Same goes for the JM Matchmaker foundation. Shame, because I really liked these upon application. :( Save your money.

My skin loves this product so so much. The ingredients are nourishing and moisturizing, which I really appreciate. If this is gonna sit on my face all day long it better benefit it.
First, I prime my face with Hourglass primer; while I wait for that to set I shake the bottle of TM then apply to the back of my hand, take a flat top synthetic brush, swirl on top of product to make sure it's mixed well, then I apply to my face in a circular motion to blend. Then I set it with CHANEL Universelle Compacte powder. I'm left with dewy flawless skin all day. Coverage is light to medium depending on how you blend.
Also, sure it seems pricey, but it comes with 1.7 o.z of product. A lot more product than a foundation bottle. I think it's worth every single penny.
I'm NC40-42 and use Linen.
