So this has finally come to the States. I first saw it in CVS, Maybelline had a sale for 40% off eye makeup. I love this mascara so much! I'm in love with it. I use two to three strokes and it does look like FAKE LASHES. It is beautiful. Mind you, I have short and spare yet curly lashes. It elongates and thickens beyond belief!
Plus, it stays on ALL DAY. That is rare for mascaras. It doesn't clump or flake. Fantastic mascara for a dramatic look.

There are always so many new drugstore mascaras out, I find myself testing a new one every 2 weeks or so, usually never repeat purchases. This is one of the best drugstore mascaras I've tried lately. The curved brush really grabs your eyelashes and curls them, and it gets all the little hairs on the inner corners. I don't usually like curved brushes but I really like this mascara, it makes my lashes look nice and long and dramatic. I've also been using that L'oreal eyelash serum so it seems like my lashes are getting longer by the day. The brush is trickier to use on the bottom lashes, I usually flip it around or turn it so that it's shaped like a U and it follows that natural curve of my eye. It's almost as good as my favorite Shu Uemura mascara, and for $8 or whatever that's not too shabby.

Pretty good, I bought this 40% off at CVS. There is a bit of a smell but I love the look of the tube, very fun in an 80s way. The mascara is decent, not false eyelashes but I did not expect that. I will update once I tried several times but so far it is fine.

My eyelashes are so stubborn and I really find it hard to get a mascara that really gives me the false lash effect. But after ages of trying millions of different brands i have finally found it! I love this mascara,it goes on so easily with the spoon shaped wand. It gives the lashes great volume and lenght and really gives the illusion of false lashes yet is totally wearable for during the day,the first time i wore it everyone asked if i was wearing false eyelashes! i would totally recommend people trying it as you will not be disappointed!

I have regular looking lashes but I always hunger for that FALSE EYELASHES effect (I have large eyes and so therefore large lashes are required). Lately, I've developed some sort of mascara fetish and have been buying mascara trying to find my HG (My current HG is L'oreal Voluminous in Carbon Black...but I like to experiment). So I bump into THIS. Two things: 1) You may need a primer if you really want the "False Eyelash effect" it's the only way I could get it to work that way. I curl my lashes, use the MAC Lash Primer and comb it over with a disposable spoolie, wait 30-40 seconds then apply mascara. 2) If you're not going to use a lash primer, apply two or three coats. It's not a bad mascara, but you may have to TWEAK it a little.

I've been waiting for this product to come out and I finally bought it today! I have been using maybelline mascaras lately. I have tried every mascara out there. I do have a few favorites and this one makes the list. I have long, thick, dark lashes so I like to play them up. This does a good job of adding lengthe, volume, lift, and separation. Maybelline finally jumped on the fiber mascara train. That's the secret ingredient in this mascara that gives the false lash look. If you look at the brush you can see the little fibers in the actual mascara formula and this stuff builds your lashes. For 5 bucks I will be repurchasing. Lets hope it doesn't get discontinued.

My lashes are quite long, already, but lack the dark pigment and thickness I had when younger.
This mascara did a *fabulous* job restoring their appearance to their former glory, making them lush, dark, and oh-so-long!
Minimal--if any--flaking, and great staying power! I will buy backups of this for travel and packing around in my purse. The best mascara I've found yet!
*** update 8/20/2010
Updating with regret... no idea why, but this product simply stopped working for me. Formula didn't seem to dry up or separate, so that can't be it. After a few weeks, though, just gave me wet spider lashes. No longer using it and won't repurchase.
7/18/2010 -- UPDATE
Okay, I totally don't understand why, sometimes, a mascara will seem so incredibly wonderful the first few uses, then... suddenly... stop working altogether. (Can anyone explain this to me, please?)
I still use this every couple of weeks to see whether, maybe, I'm just doing something horribly wrong. However, it just doesn't work anymore. I still see some length, but virtually no volumizing.
*sigh* I wanted my love-affair with this product to be more than a short-term fling. Pity. Still looking for a good volumizing mascara that doesn't cost as much as my annual car-insurance, and doesn't leave black smudges beneath my eyes. Onward, I guess...

I first eyed this because of the pretty magenta and aqua packaging. I decided to try it because it was on 40% off promo at CVS and I'm glad I did. After many years of searching I can officially say that I HAVE FINALLY FOUND MY HG MASCARA!!!! It lifts at the root, separates, and lengthens in one shot but doesn't weigh down my lashes. I prefer two coats for a little extra drama. I love the shape of the brush: spead out bristles but with a curve. My only gripe is that I wish Blackest Black was a little darker but other than that I couldn't be happier!!!!!!
*Edit: Ok, I don't know if it's me but I feel like I don't get consistent results with this. Sometimes my lashes come out great and other times they're just ok. I'm going back to Loreal Bare Natuale.

Like most ladies that love makeup, I am always on the lookout for the next best mascara. I like trying different brands and formulas, but recently have been sticking with drugstore brands since I am on a tight budget and can't justify spending loads of money for a mascara I will go through in 1-2 months. That being said, I think this mascara is fantastic. It is a bit misleading in it's marketing, as it emphasises more volume than length, whereas I think it is the opposite. This provides moderate volumising effects, but the lengthening and curling effect is phenomenal. This makes my lashes look super long and adds a decent curl as well. The formula does not flake very much at all - I've even slept wearing this (bad, I know) and it still looked fabulous the next morning with minimal smudging. The only drawback is that this makes my lashes feel a bit stiff and 'crunchy'. The look is very dramatic, so if you are looking for more of a natural look, skip this one. I like my lashes to stand out, and this mascara does a great job - really opens up the eyes as well.

It took a few days to get used to. It really gives you the false lash effect and lasts all day. It's kind of sticky though and tends to stick the lashes together while applying it.

Oh how I adore this mascara! I bought it expecting another worthless buy of cheap mascara and thinking it will probably react with my sensitive contact lense wearing eyes when i was pleasantly surprised! It gives length, volume and drama when layered and is even better when combed through. Definitely worth it!

I’m a total sucker for new mascaras, and naturally I just had to try the new Falsies. It took a few attempts before I got the hang of the spoon-shaped brush. But it turned out to be quite easy to use after all. With 2-3 coats the mascara provides amazing length along with thickness. Clumping is not an issue except on the lower lashes, for which the brush isn’t at its best. But you’ll definitely get nice and dramatic lashes with this one. However, the reason why I won’t buy it again, is its tendency to flake a little during the day.

OK, so the name is misleading,no false eyelash effect but I like this. It is one of the very few mascaras I have come across that stays on your lashes and doesn't flake, or give me Panda eyes, which believe me nearly all others from cheap to high end do. It provides enough length and volume, especially after two coats so I am hreally appy with this product.

Disappointed with this. I found the formula to be quite thin and the effect surprisingly undramatic considering the product's name. The curved brush was straightforward enough to use, but I was hoping for a more striking look. Found that the formula flaked, too.

Was really disappointed by this mascara. In the past i've used a couple of different Maybelline mascaras which i've loved,so i assumed this would be a quality product. Wrong! I have long but thin eyelashes and Falsies didn't thicken them at all. They ended up spidery looking. Worst of all though,by lunch it had flaked under my eyes. By the end of my day at work i looked like a panda. Does not live up to it's own hype.

Reasons I like this mascara:-
1. It curls my lashes
2. It does actually give them a false lash effect
3. I have had numerous comments since I've worn this!
4. Great price
5. Mascara wand is very easy to use and coats all my lashes
I've tried loads of mascaras and this is definitely in my top 10!

I'm constantly on the search for the world's best mascara. I feel like I've tried them all, so when something new and appeals to my desire to "volumize," I have to try it. I think this mascara is fab, especially for the price. I had just finished using YSL Faux Cils Effet and found Falsies much more effective. My primary goal is volume, and this mascara does it. If you want separation, than this is not it. I have to curl my lashes first or the formula is simply to heavy. Also, as others have mentioned the tendency to clump is there, so you're best applying in thin layers. If you want to slap it on and go, than this probably isn't for you, but if you're willing to spend an extra minute and a half for gorgeous lashes, I think this product is well worth the low price tag. I would compare it to Benefit Bad Gal Lash, but at less than half the price!

Having been cursed with the shortest little lashes ever I'm constantly on the search for the ultimate lengthening product. Having been reminded by the great guru LisaSz09 (http://www.youtube.com/user/Lisasz09) that spending gazillions on a mascara which is dumped after 3 months seldom makes sense (even though I'm a sucker for luxe make up), I decided to "slum it" for once and bought The Falsies by Mabelline. I - LOVE - IT, the ingenious curved brush somehow drags my little lashes to infinity and curls while it's at it. I love the consistency which makes multiple applications possible before it dries but be warned it can transfer to eyelids during application but this is a small price to pay. Defo re-purchase. ONLY issue is the tube is so thick it takes up precious room in my eyeliners/mascara pot :-)

I had such high expectations for this mascara. I loved The Colossal and I love curved brushes so this was like a wish come true.
Unfortunately the curved brush doesn't make any difference.
It's a bit clumpy if you're not careful.
I like it, I use it but I won't repurchase
