The product is nice and dark and I am able to re coat lot before it dries (then you cannot re apply). The wand itself helps with the curl and coating each lash...then I flip it over to "push" more product into areas I want. I think this concept works better than the ball-tip because you don't get an overload of product on one end which will only clump. The curl usually doesn't stay though.

I have tried so many mascaras, and this by far is my favorite. It gives me length and volume, where other drugstores(except maybe l'oreal) just don't compare. I am a diehard maybelline mascara fan and i just love how quickly I get volume with falsies. Try it at least!

I really like this mascara. I have the waterproof version. To me this is a drugstore version of my favorite Blinc mascara. This product has fibers that create the "falsies" effect. You have to carefully apply this to avoid clumping of the fibers. I like to wipe off a lot of the product when I take the wand out of the tube to avoid placing too much onto my lashes. Also I found you must apply your second coat before the first one dries. Once it is dry, it holds a curl and I have no smearing or smudging. It stays on until you remove it. You must remove it carefully with an eyemakeup remover (I use Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover). If you just wash your face you will have black racoon smudges under your eyes that won't come off. Also you may end up with fibers in your eyes if you just try to wash it off with regular cleanser without breaking it down first with eyemakeup remover.

Not sure if I got a dud product, but the mascara has little hairs in it that I'm guessing is where the "falsies" effect comes from. Those little hairs (I think) are intended to latch onto your actual lashes to give the longer effect. In fact, the only thing that little hairs do is get in my eyes! :-( I didn't read any other reviews to see if anyone else had this problem, so not sure if this is normal. Needless to say, I won't be buying this product again.

Unfortunately, the green and pink "Great Lash" product, although loved by many, also smears on my eyes after a few hrs of wear. :-(

Though expensive, Lancome Definicils is a great alternative mascara!

I remember my 1st Maybelline mascara was that pink/green bottle one all Vogues across the planet raved about. I could never understand why - it clumped, smelled strongly and irritated my eyes, and would flake after a couple of hours. So I reluctantly bought this but I am happy I did. I have normal length lashes that curl mostly under any mascara so I cannot comment on its capacities of holding a curl (I never use a curler) but I can say that this mascara makes my lashes stay curled, higher than other DS mascaras I tried. If I wiggle the wand it can clump but if I use as it obviously is intended to be used (wand is almost flat on one side so you can push it in to the roots and then twist it upwards, a lot like Bourjois's Clubbing mascara, but more easy to use than the Bourjois one because the Falsies' wand is also curved) it really makes my lashes look great. I love the wand, it does not flake out, and it does not smell at all (may have perfume in it, but it doesn't smell that you can sense) I can push it very close to my roots and it does not irritate my eyes at all. Only one complaint - I wished the formula was even blacker, since this one is black just not that jet black super black kind of black if you know what I mean. It works for me and it does volumize and does not flake on me (use it for lower lashes). Great for daily use especially for the price. I like that itsfluid enough, not dry, and after using it I have experienced zero lash fallout that some mascara may cause on me (like Benefit Bad Gal). For me all the tricks in it (the wand) work and I congrat Maybelline on actually improving from their so famous but so crapy pink/green stuff I never understood or liked.

This mascara is useless, it did not give me the effect it said it would. its just like every other mascara, except that it has a curved wand. i surely wouldnt buy this product again.

I like this mascara. You can layer it to get a dramatic effect, or apply a single coat for a natural look. It doesn't seem to get clumpy or make lashes sticky when you apply several coats. Stays on nicely through heat and oily skin...will probably buy again.

What I look for in a mascara? First off I do not like mascara that is really dramatic. I purchased this for those days I go on dates with my husband. I like mascara that looks like you are wearing it but I am more of a natural/neutral look type of a gal.

The mascara does make your eyelashes look like you are wearing false eyelashes, hence the name "Falsies."

I am on the fence about this, since I am not one for the great dramatic look, it does do what it says to do.

I think it is reasonable for the price and for a drugstore item. It is not for me though.

I recommend this if you want the dramatic eyelash look. I will not re-purchase though for reasons cited above.

So I went to the store and bought this mascara. I was hoping for it to be good for my lashes but what really brought me down was the brush. I think it would be better if the bristles werent as bad as they were! They were torn down everywhere. I was sad and disappointed about that fact. I think it ruins everything!! :(

Hope it will make the better of me next time I try it. Guess my expectations were too much or something.

I was hesitant to write a review on this because I didn't know what to think. At first I hated it, it was clumpy and messy. As the formula dried a little, I grew to like it and now I'm not a fan again.
A little background: I have naturally long lashes (or so people tell me) so I'm looking for volume, lasting power and a rich black colour in my mascaras. Hence, I always buy the blackest black colours.
Now what do I have to say about this? It barely lengthens my already long lashes, it gives me 0 volume and it flakes during the day. I've never had a mascara flake on me and I have tried my fair share. It looks bland in an hour or two. Will not repurchase. I'd rather invest an extra 10$ for something that works.
Giving it 3 lippies out of 5 was generous.
