I put this product to the ultimate test the first time I wore it. I put it on at 6 AM, before work. I applied full makeup on top of it (foundation, blush, eye makeup, lipstick). I went to work for 8 hours. I went to a 6-hour reception after work and drank WAY too much. I finally passed out on a coworker's couch at 1:30 AM. When I woke up in the morning, my pride was gone, but my makeup remained exactly where I'd left it the previous day. It looked flawless. I was floored. This is a keeper. (The drinking isn't, though -- since then, I've pretty much quit.)

I've never used primers before, and I really like this one. Seems to help a little bit with flakies,a nd seems to keep my makeup looking fresher longer. 4 lippies cause it is a bit expensive for the amount you get.

I really can't tell if this primer does anything "special" to my makeup or skin...influenced by my love for Nars products I suppose :)
However it does feel nice and soothing...so maybe that makes it worth it...but overall, no noticable difference.

I think this makes my m/u last longer and (slightly) helps to control oil. It comes in a 1.75 fl. oz. tube and is very cooling once on. It smells lightly of lavender.

Here are the natural ingredients in the order they appear: water, lavender extract, aloe leaf juice, honey, ginko biloba, echinacea, grapefruit extract, kiwi fruit extract, camellia leaf extract.

The MA asked the SA to include a sample of this w/ my first ever NARS purchase. I had never used primer and have an oily t-zone (which nothing seems to matte), so I was very skeptical. I used it the next day and saw that not only it my make-up remain fresh, my t-zone was not super shiny and the foundation had not started to slip. My make-up stayed great for most of the day. Since it will be expensive to replace and the tube was larger than I expected for a sample, I'm using this for special occasions, but it works for me. I will definitely purchase this in the future.Update 03/31/03: I caved and purchased a full size of this since my m/u must stay perfect all day at my new job w/ no real time for touch ups. I doubt there will be a day in the future that I do not use this product. The MA was nice enough to give me an extra gwp of it, so I'm set for all my travels.

This is a pretty average primer- it doesn't make my makeup last any longer, but it does make my skin feel nice and refreshed. I'm still looking for my HG primer, I guess!

It helps my foundation apply more smoothly, plus it looks more natural. I also like the primer's feel. It has a great texture and did not cause any adverse reactions. I don't think it increases the time my foundation will last though.

I looove this! i used it today when i went shopping today. i's actually pretty hot today here in cali(it never gets cold here!) and i started to perspire a little bit and my makeup hasn't looked fresher! and to top that off i'm also wearing a stila's all over shimmer, and my makeup looks so good despite the warm weather

This primer was nothing special. It is pretty expensive and it doesn't help my foundation stay on any longer than if I hadn't used it. I noticed though that it did keep my foundation from giving me flaky skin, but I still prefer my Smashbox primer over this one.

I had this used on me the past weekend at a NARS event and I was very very impressed with the texture of the foundation and my skin when I had the primer on. I've never been truly impressed with NARS foundation but the primer made such a difference that I would say that it could possibly make any foundation look like skin. It's a very soothing cool feeling when the primer is first placed on and it has several natural ingredients to help further 'soothe' the skin. Great product overall and though it's steep in price, it's really worth it.

This is a nice standard primer, that makes my skin feel smooth. However, I find that I prefer using Estee Lauder's Idealist!

I haven't tried many primers but this definitely beats Laura Mercier's primer. Everytime I used Laura Mercier's - my skin would burn and tingle. Not good! NARS primer doesn't seem to irritate my skin and makes my foundation go on smoothly (minimizes pores and small fine lines). It is a good product and I use it regularly before applying my Giorgio Armani foundation.

It's very nice and light feeling. Makes the finish on my liquid foundation very soft and even. It reduces redness (package says it can be used as an aftershave). I think it helps my make-up last a little longer.

So far I am really enjoying this product. I cant tell if it makes my makeup last longer but it sure looks better. Very light feel to it.
