Generally disappointed in this color, beautiful in the pan, but not that noticeable on the eye. The sparkle tends to end up all over my face.

As others have described, this is a glittery sliver-lilac/lavender color, and rather sheer. I do like the color, but the glitter factor of these new shadows is a tiny, but not major, problem -- glitter flakes around eyes.

Idol Eyes is a gorgeous silver/platinum with lilac highlights. I really like to wear this with plums and purples. Very pretty! Also, being a lustre shadow, it is very shimmery/glittery. However, the colour payoff is subtle. To really see "purple," you have to pack it on and/or use it wet. Beware of falling glitter as well.

I'm really on the fence about this one. It is a beautiful color in the pot. Once applied, it is not what I expected because it is very, very sheer, just adding a hint of lilac-blue color and some fine silver sparkles to my eyes. In fact, this is a nice effect, but not what I was hoping for. Over a liner, it adds oomph and is also pretty, but I was just hoping for a shadow with more pigment.

My favorite shadow from the Golightly collection. I use this with muavism paint underneath and I swear it looks just like Kitchmas pigment. great all over lid color, then i just put a little shadowy lady e/s in the crease for depth. Looks Beautiful!

Lots of MUA gals have complained about the texture of Idol Eyes. However, my Idol Eyes is fairly smooth and I did not have any problems with falling glitters. I find most of my MAC e/s to be a little on the chalky side. Idol Eyes, on the other hand, is actually fairly smooth, and defintely not as chalky as other matte MAC e.s. Idol Eye is a very unique color. In the pot it looks like silvery purple with gold sparkles. On my lid, however, it was just gold. I have brown eyes with very pale & cool complexion. Ido Eyes is the only gold colored eyeshadow that I can wear.

Delightfully suprised by this one! The lustre (glitter/shimmer) e/s didn't fall on to my face at all and lasted quite well all day long. I love to pair this with Print as a liner and on outer crease. Very pretty, flattering silver/grey with glitter. Comes highly recommended. Enjoy! :)

my new fave! i wasn't sure of it at first, because i purchased a lustre e/s a while ago, and was not happy with the consistency at all. But the colour of Idol Eyes was so pretty in the pan that i had to get it. It's mainly silvery in colour, with some purple/blue undertones, and lots of microglitter (typical of lustre e/s). I used this as a lid colour, with Greystone smudged in the crease and to line, and it's absolutely stunning! Really pretty for an everyday, muted smokey look. TIP: when applying, apply wet, and press the colour into your skin. This will help the microglitter from falling all over your face, and will make the colour more concentrated.

I love idol eyes! Very pretty silvery purple with alot of shimmer. The texture can take a little getting used to but I have grown to like it. Will definitely repurchase if I ever use it up.

**HINT** - use this with matisserie paint as a base and heirloom to line, so beautiful!!

I am still trying to get used to the texture of this eye shadow. It looks beautiful in the pan, but when applied it almost looks like on of the pigments with lots of bits in it that do not completely blend. Very streange. The colour is a pretty platinum with shades of grey and lilac. As I said, pretty in the pan but not the most original eye shadow when applied. All in all, I was going to buy this anyway, simply as I am collecting all new MAC stuff, but was a bit disappointed by the texture and bland colour.

A really unique color from MAC. I used this wet, and had no problem making it show up. I also found the texture to be quite smooth when applied (when I touched it with my finger it felt really gritty). It lasted all day, with no fading or creasing. A new favorite from MAC!

Wow!! I've been on a huge Stila kick lately and I haven't even touched my MAC shadows but I saw this at the counter today and I fell in love!!

This is a *very* pretty and unique metallic silver with a purple tint to it. It looks amazing as a wash when going for the sexy, smokey look. I love this one!

Idol Eyes is one of the most unique eyeshadow shades that I own. The MA called it plum. And I said "WUT?!" cuz it looked like a blued silver to me. When I put it on the eyes, it really came alive. Initially, I thought these lustre shadows were total poop, but I am really impressed with the multi-tonal depth of color that they give. And they work well together.Idol Eyes is a silvery lavender with a golden gleam and great shine. So far, I have used it most on the outer third of the eye, as well as to line. I am pairing it with Filament, Gleam or Honey Lust and it goes with either of those equally well. I don't prefer purple or blue on my eyelids, but this is definately a must have color for me and very wearable.

Just beautiful!!! I wanted to see this in person instead of ordering it with the rest of my Go Lightly haul. It's a very delicate, pale lilac with loads of silver shimmer. I found it a bit crumbly in the store, but then again I was using a q-tip to pick up the product. With an e/s brush, this goes on very smoothly and just looks gorgeous with my skintone (MMM/Olive). It's a unique color for me, and I would definitely repurchase. The lustre shadows are gorgeous - they're my favorite of the MAC e/s's. :)

When I tested this shadow on my hand at the store, the texture seemed really crumbly and non-blendable. But I purchased anyway because I liked the colour. When applied to the eyes with a brush, it goes on surprisingly smooth. It really is a beautiful shadow and complements my dark brown eyes. You do have to layer a bit to get the colour to show up though.

I really like this color. It's a very unique silver-purple. It matches my LLL complexion, black hair, brown eyes perfectly. The lustre formula is also a plus for me because it adds that beautiful sparkle to my eyes.

I agree with most others' comments - this is a very pretty color that can look either more purple or more silver, depending on what you pair it with. I also suggest pairing it with Pixel paint.

This is a really unique color..thats the main reason I bought it. It goes a silvery grey color with lavender iridescence. I wish it was just a tad darker, but its shows up well. I might try using it with a damp brush to see if I can deepen it up a bit. I wore it blended with some MAC pixel paint blended on the lid and up in the crease...very pretty!!*Update* I did try using this wet,and it makes the color so much more vibrant!

A nice silvery lavender with glitter. I really like the texture of the lustres. Very nice used as a wash. I was hoping for it to come out a little more purply, but it will do. I can't say it knocked my socks off, but nice addition to the collection none the less.
