This is really great mascara. To me, it is almost exactly like Diorshow, which I also love. I don't get the clumping, but that's b/c I always do a teeny 'wiggle' with my brush when I apply, and voila! no problems. I don't think either of these live up to the godly hype surrounding them LOL, but they are the best mascaras that I've tried - giving nice, dramatic lashes (but very wearable in the daytime with just one coat).

This product gives you racoon eyes. Makes your eyelashes long but not enough volume. My eyelashes were long, but wayyy toooo skinny. I think I'll stick to maybelline. They have the best mascaras and they are comparable to department store brands and they are dirt cheap. Hope this helps!

This is amazing! I have long lashes, and this made it seem like I was wearing false lashes...I haven't had any problems with flaking, even in 90 degree heat, and humidity. It's great!

As with all Benefit products, the packaging on this rocks! The only thing I don;t like is that this just comes in black, I usually like to wear brownish-black formulas. Makes my fine lashes very lush and is a great thiickener and lengthener as well. The brush is huge and so is the tube, but it covers very well and does a thorough job of distributing the product. Great stuff!

This mascara is really good. I was going to buy my favorite mascara by Estee Lauder, but I came across this and decided to buy it with my Sephora gift card. I wasn't sure if it was going to work good, but it does. I love it.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination Hair: Brown Eyes: Green
As of right now, this is my favorite mascara. I LOVE the huge wide brush, it really makes my lashes super thick and lush. It definitely gives the "false eyelash" effect! My lashes are naturally very long, so I can't comment on it's lengthening abilities. Two things I think they can improve: make the formula just a pinch thicker as sometimes I have to use a few coats, and also offer a waterproof formula. Next, I'm going to try DIORSHOW waterproof and see if I like it better, and if not.. I'll be back to this!

I swear by this mascara. I never really used mascara until I got to college, when I realized how amazing the product can change how a person looks. I have somewhat long lashes that just don't stand out very well. This mascara is best at making lashes look 10x longer and thicker. It claims to also be able to curl lashes, but I rely on my lash curler instead. The mascara dries quickly and lasts FOREVER. I got both of my sisters hooked too.

loved the package, and the idea of the large wand, but it was clumpy and made my eye lashes stiff and brittle. Not impressed
Age: 30-35 Skin: Combination Hair: Black Eyes: Black
I hate this mascara. It doesn't live up to it's name. It runs like crazy because it clumps and dries slowly. it leaves a big lump of mascara on your lashes. you can't brush it off with the wand cause it is so huge that you can't reach finer areas of your lashes like the corners and lower lashes.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Normal, Fair-Medium Hair: Blond Eyes: Hazel
This is nothing special. I thought that it would be similar to Diorshow, however I love Diorhshow and this is boring and blah. I never have good luck with Benefit. Maybe that's a union that's just not meant to be!
Age: 18 & Under Skin: Acne-prone Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown
I love this mascara, and it is my HG :-). It lengthens, seperates, adds volume and makes my lashes pitch black! The brush IS rather huge, and it's hard to apply without the brush hitting below my brow brone. Small price to pay for such a great mascara, though! I am still on the lookout for that PERFECT one, but this is by far the very best I have used and I will repurchase!
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination Hair: Blond Eyes: Blue
this is a great mascara; i really like how big the wand is, and has a great texture. the reason i gave it four lippies is cuz it started to flake really fast, and for being a middle-line mascara, i don't think it should. but it's not bad, if you can afford to replace your mascara every month or so...
Age: 18 & Under Skin: Combination Hair: Blond Eyes: Green
I like this a lot! It really lengthens, curls, separates, and fans out my lashes. It makes a huge impact if applied properly, and it lasts all day. The lashes must dry in between coats, or else they'll become a mess. It's basicly the same as DiorShow Mascara in Noir, except I find that DiorShow fans out my lashes even more. :)
Age: 19-24 Skin: Dry Hair: Brunette Eyes: Black
The packaging is very cute, but I don't like this at all.First off, the brush is too big and second it clumped a bit too much. I'm just no impressed by benefit. It made me a bad gal, but a bad gal with lashes that were glued to one another.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Combination Hair: Other Eyes: Green
I am very happy with this mascara. I was skeptical at first since the wand is so large and I was expecting a big mess. But I am very much impressed with it. I think the key to getting the best results are proper application. Such as removing the excess mascara from the wand first, then applying while twisitng the bursh and letting it dry in bewteen coats. This process really gets my lashes super thick and dark and the best part it stayed on all day without any raccoon eyes. Also to note- I noticed that when my friend tried to use it on her stright lashes it didnt make as much of an impact. I think this would work best on naturally curly or curled lashes. Overall I am definetly re-purchasing.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Combination, Fair-Medium Hair: Brunette Eyes: Brown
I had really high expectations of this mascara. It comes in a big fat black tube and the brush looks really lush. I thought it would give me thick almost fake looking lashes. Unfortunately, it did not. This mascara isn't bad but I still prefer my Lancome Definicils. I will finish the tube but I will not repurchase. Update 7/14/05: This mascara smudges everywhere! It sucks!

I had been waiting to get to Sephora in Toronto to get this product for MONTHS. The time finally arose last week and I shelled out my 25 CDN bucks.
The first time I tried it, I was so dispointed, I put it right back into the package with the intent on returning as soon as I could.
However, after reading more reviews on it, I thought I would give it one more try.
The trick with this mascara is that you HAVE to apply it in coats. One coat will do NOTHING for you. It takes me about 3-4 to get the false eyelash thing going. The brush, as others have noted, is cumbersome due to its size. I am getting used to it though.
I would really love to save this mascara only for going out, but I want to use it everyday. I love it. I am not 100% convinced that I would buy it again, only because of the price. I think some of the cheaper drug store brands, while not quite as dramatic, yields sufficient results.

No good. At first it makes your lashes look lovely but it smudges, smudges, smudges SO BAD that it is totally not worth it. Boo!!
Age: 25-29 Skin: Combination Hair: Blond Eyes: Hazel
had the bad gal mascara put on my lashes by the benefit counter - wow. dumped my lancome addiction for bad gal. have long, thin lashes and like the end result ... but it takes a long time in the bathroom for the desired effect (many coats, my sonia kashuk eyelash brush, and quite a few tissues later). will probably go back to lancome after this mascara is used up, their hypnotic mascara thickens my lashes with less application. benefit packaging is adorable, which is why i always succumb to purchasing their products!

My HG mascara - it makes my lashes look longer, darker, and thicker than anything I've ever used. While $$$ mine seem to last about six months before I toss them and if you're on their email list they run specials (free ship, discounts) enough that it makes it worth it to me. I don't bother with this on my lower lashes as it does seem to run with my oily skin but it clings for dear life to my top ones.
