I've been using the sample I received and thus far I'm impressed!
I have oily, pimple prone skin with previous scarring. Just a tiny bit of this foundation is all I need to even out skin tone. With a tiny bit extra to cover blemishes. It helps with dark undereye circles, but if I want full coverage I use No.7 undereye illuminating concealer.
I believe the packaging is a screw top lid because they really need to keep the air out of this product, but I agree (from handling it in the store) that it seems quite a hassle.
Also, I'd like to add that the sponge is useless and wastes product. Use a foundation brush! You don't need an expensive one, I use The Body Shop's and it works wonderfully. I just dab the tip of the brush in the foundation and 'paint' it on, patting to blend. Then I go over blemishes with a concealer brush.
The finish looks luminous and natural. The foundation feels very light and is longlasting.
I'm impressed by the oil control, although I do dust over with loose powder. I know my skin, and it needs all the help it can get. I'm on my third day and I think the tiny sample will last me a week! So get a foundation brush and I'm sure the full-sized jar will last at least 3 months.
I'm still waiting for breakouts but so far my skin has remained clear and happy.
EDIT: I believe it broke me out. Darn.

I have read a lot of mixed reviews about this foundation, personally I love it! this is the only Max Factor foundation I have ever used which I actually liked and didn't break my skin out, it for me it goes on very smoothly and evens skin tone nicely, I am prone to nasty irritable looking red patches as a reulst of my acne prone skin. The only problem I find with it is that after a while it can make my skin a little shiny, I have oily skin and although it does not turn into an oil slick it can be somewhat off putting.
The packaging is dreadful, a screw bottom which contains the foundation and a sponge in the lid - apparently we don't need to see to put on our foundation as there is no mirror, to say the design is illogical is a mild understatement! Nasty packaging aside, I would buy this product for the actual foundation, as it does work well for me if I've done all the relevant prep first - it seems to work best with a mattifying moisturiser if you have oily skin, although a little oil may still make it through.

What a fabulous foundation. I usually use liquid because I like the dewy look and medium coverage. Decided to try this one out because of the solid to liquid spiel. It really does go on like a liquid but it sets to a satin luminous finish which is lovely. The colour range is quite light but the darkest in Bronze is surprisingly exactly my skin tone (or maybe they have used some of their Color Adapt technology in this foundation). I usually find drug store foundations to be on the orange side. It has staying power, looks good pretty much all day. I like the look of it even more when I see it in natural sunlight. It also feels like I have nothing on my face. There are other foundations that might be better in staying power but this one wins because it feels so weightless, it stays almost as long as those long lasting foundations (which sometimes feel like a layer of dry paint on your face) and the compact format is so easy to apply and is so clean to use. As others have mentioned, they could have made the packaging more like a compact and with a mirror, but it is really no harder to use than a liquid and still more convenient.
EDIT - have taken off a couple of lippies because I ran out so quickly making it much more expensive in the long run than a bottle of expensive foundation. Very poor value for money. Also, I found that it didn't continue to look as great on my skin after a few weeks of use. Seemed to sit on top of skin and was a bit obvious.

I think the packaging is time consuming, ie messing around with a sponge and two separate compartments. The sponge looks a bit revolting after a use or two also.
I just don't think it blends in well on the skin and seems to sit on the surface and you actually end up using your fingers to do this. I think it is a gimmick sort of product and will not last long. I have better foundations and will not use this one again.

When this first came out (quite recently) I kept going to the shop trying it out... I applied the creme with my fingers and blended on my skin - looked fantastic. So when I finally had settled for my colour (Warm Almond 45) I went to buy it.
This comes with a sponge in a separate compartment - but the sponge was useless! Felt it applied way to much and it appeared streaky on my face, plus I felt it didn't 'absorb'. Which is strange considering how many times I tried it out before buying.
I have continued using this product applying with my fingers instead. Works much better. Although after buying this product 'trying it at home' I don't think it's a good foundation for the face. However (and this may sound a bit strange) - I have used it as a Body Makeup (to cover up stretchmarks and other imperfections).
I will not buy it again though!
Updated to say that the packaging is a hassle! It looks good and that is about it. With all that fancy packaging at least they could have included a mirror!

I recieved the free sample of this in the post and it seemed to go on nicely so I bought the full size. The shade I have is Warm Almond and it's a good match for my winter complexion.
The packaging is a bit strange with being screw cap and a mirror wouldn't go amiss but i'm really pleased with how the foundation looks on. Really easy to apply, it's a creamy texture that goes on smoothly and gives good coverage. Believe me, i've got a volcano brewing on my chin and didn't even need concealer, just dabbed a litte extra over it and it's barely noticeable now. Would definately repurchase.
Edited to add - the more I use this, the more i'm liking it. I've rarely found such good coverage foundation that looks so natural and is a breeze to apply. Hooray for good skin days again!

This foundation provides great coverage. I bought this foundation because I broke out a few weeks ago and needed a foundation that provides more coverage. On the coverage part this foundation does the work pretty well. I don't need a seperate camouflage for my pimples, I just simply dot my concealerbrush in the foundation and apply it where needed.
I'm Mac NC 20 and I've bought "Warm Almond". I had a hard time in the store choosing between "Warm Almond" and "Golden", because the color is very similar (to me at least). At the end I chose Warm Almond, because Golden has a stronger yellowish undertone and I was afraid it would look unnatural. Warm Almond on the other hand looks very natural.
This foundation has a subtle shimmer in it, so after applying you'll have a glowy look. BUT I have combination skin and this foundation is definitely too oily for my T-zone. In the advertisement they say you don't need powder to set it. Well, that's NOT TRUE for those with oily skins! My T-zone was superoily after two hours and the foundation started to look ugly/cackey on my skin. So the ones with oily skin DO have to use powder to set the foundation. And come to think of it, if I use this foundation during the summer (hot sweaty wheater) this foundation will look sooooooooo greasy and ugly on my face. But I do have to admit: on my cheeks (normal/dry) the foundation looked great.
I don't really like the packaging of this foundation, I don't use the sponge that comes with it. I rather use a foundation brush. I also think that this isn't very hygenic compared to foundation in bottles and tubes.
In total I took 2 lippies off: 1 lippie because this is pretty greasy for the ones with oily skin and the other lippie for the dumb and not so hygenic packaging. I would not purchase this product again.

Nice creamy texture, doesn't make me breakout. Covers up small blemishes but a concealer could be necessary. It gives a nice glow, but for some it can be too shiny. Good color for my skintone, I bought the lightest version. Shows some flakes around the nose, I wouldn't recommend it to people with extreme dry skin. But overall a good product but quite expensive for a drugstore product and too bad the package doesn't include a mirror.

urgh, this stuff gives spots every time I wear it! its an ok colour match, and is nice to apply (even with the sponge they give you) but doesnt give a good coverage and seems to make tiny spots stand out so much. Not good, will only use in emergencys.

This was a good foundation for my skin but it did dry out my nose a little and didnt match my skin tone completly so i did have to mix a little with another product. Although did give me a flawless finish both in pictures and in person which is what i needed overall a good foundation just needs more colours available.

Does anyone else find that this is a little too shimmery? I loved the texture and everything is perfect except for the shimmeriness...and that is something I prefer not to have in my foundation. I really, really wanted to love this but to anyone who doesn't mind theirs being overtly sparkly, this is definitely worth trying.

I'll continue to buy this because it does look good on me. However, it is a bit drying and perhaps not suitable for dry/dehydrated skins. Despite showing a slight flakiness here and there, it does give me a really nice glow. It's also easy and quick to use when dashing out to work in the mornings. You do need to check that it is properly blended in though.
I'm so glad that I read someone's review mentioning the screw top. I bought the item before reading the reviews and was almost going to take it back to the shop because I couldn't open it! Never occurred to me that it was a screw top, and I was trying to lever it off. Then I read the reviews - so that was helpful!

I really like this foundation and I 'm happy that I stumbled across to it when I was desperate about finding a foundation. All the shades of the foundations I tried were too dark. I have the lightest shade of Miracle touch, creamy Ivory. My skin is in very good condition so I don't need much coverage so this is very good for me.
The reason why I gave it only 3 lippies is that it seems to dry out my skin a bit especially now that it's winter and I'm living in the Arctic Circle. And there seems to be very little of the actual foundation in the package. Comparing that to the price I had to pay for it here, it's too little. The sponge that comes with the package is completely useless for me too.

I didn't buy this, just got a sample. Thank god I didn't spend the rrp to buy the full size version!! Totally didn't work for me. Made my flakes more visible getting worse by the hour... I only gave it a 2 because the color Golden is a very good match for my NC30-ish skin and I think normal skin girls would probably be able to wear this. Definitely will not buy again. Only tried it once, won't even put this stuff on my face again, thank you!!

Well i finally gave this a try! I usually use mineral m/u, but i decided to give this a try. I used this for 3 days, but had to stop use since it turned out to majorly clog pores! Thankfully i used Neutrogena's microdermabrasion cream (their advanced solutions "facial peel") and it cleared the pores and got my skin back to normal.
PROS:
--nice colors, the almond color is a nice yellow based shade;
--lovely texture because it feels very light on the skin.
CONS:
--clogged pores!
--My skin isn't oily, but I prefer a matte look, and this foundation provided a dewy look, which later looked oily
--too sheer a finish. If this is supposed to replace foundation, then why is it so sheer? I find u have to use quite a bit to build it up for enough layers to even out skin tone (which is all i need it for). i prefer light-medium coverage, and this was just light coverage, imo.
I found this to be VERY similiar to Benefit's "Some Kind a Gorgeous", only a little more pigmented than Benefit's. And ironically, "some kinda gorgeous" also clogged my pores the same way this did, so they must have similiar ingredients.
I think this m/u would be more suitable to dryer skin or more mature skin, since it had that slippery silcone feeling that i think is there to slide over fine lines. I prefer mineral foundations to help me even out skin tone. I hope this helps!
PS this was also absolutely horrible to use near my eyes, because it made my eyeliner run. so if u use this, keep it away from ur eye make-up, or else u'll have a major mess!

i was curious about this after hearing quite a few positive reviews of miracle touch from various places so i went to check it out. there was quite a few different colours in the range. as i thought, there werent any testers to take home and try out, so i took a little bit of the tester to try at home in natural light bare-faced in front of a mirror. unfortunately ive had quite a few bad experiences with assistants picking out the wrong colour in the flurescent light when ive already got makeup on, me paying £20 for it, finding it leaves my neck a completely different colour from my face and just chucking it straight in the bin cos they wont accept refunds on cosmetics. I just took a little sample pot with me & put a blob from the tester in there. At least someone hadnt stolen the tester b4 i got there. i hate it when pple do that. So, its an interesting texture, kind of moussey, i quite liked it. the shade i tried was the palest Cream Ivory. I am unusually pale skinned, sometimes i look like a vampire has sucked all the blood out of my face its that bad, and have trouble finding a foundation light enough to use. the palest ive found so far and what im using now is clinique superbalanced (liquid) in Alabaster and even this leaves a slightly orangy foundation line around the jar. so i was very pleased when i found this was sufficently pale even for me and didnt leave a line. i think it helps that its also more yellow based. So i decided to go buy it. its on offer at superdrug for £9.99 for a few more days, tho boots was doing it at full price - £12- but with a free concealer. as others have said the compact is rubbish. the sponge compartment is poinless, anyway it looks just like one u cud get for a £1 from the chemist, and i wouldnt bother using it, cos i think foundation is better applied with the fingers, but i was shocked by how little of the foundation there acually was in it when u get the screw top off, only half the amount in my clinique bottle but for over half the price. clinique is £17.50 in debenhams. arent chemist ones meant to be cheaper than dept store ones? As for the staying power, ive only tried it the once so far, it seemed ok, and i didnt bother using loose powder over it as i usually do with my liquid foundation, cos it claims to fufill both those roles. coverage was average id say. my skin is combination, bit blemished round the chin at the mo, seemed to cover it up. Im not sure what skin type its aimed at tho. anyway, to sum up, id say the positives are the good range of colours, and the interesting texture, and the negatives the fact its too expensive for the amount in there. Would i buy it again? Yes probably due to the fact that ive finally found a match for my pale skin. Yay!

I've only given this foundation one day's test but am impressed so far.
I'm usually more of a high-end girl but I really like this stuff. Its simplicity is exactly what I need when I'm in a rush. Applied with the sponge then buffed in with my MAC 182 for a nice, even finish.
No powder is needed, it dries down to a matte (but not flat, lifeless matte) finish that's slightly powdery. I didn't powder my t-zone and the Miracle Touch seemed to stay put quite well.
Creamy Ivory is a great match for my pale complexion and isn't overly pink-based.
Coverage is good although any blemishes do need a touch of concealer. I also liked the fact that it didn't turn into a cakey mess after a few hours. In fact, it was still looking pretty good at the 8 hour mark with the aid of the occasional blot & slight touch of powder.
The packaging is okay as far as portability goes but a mirror in the section where the sponge sits would have been a nice addition.
The price was a little steep for a lower end product. I paid close to £12 for mine but didn't mind as there was an offer on so it came with a free Masterpiece under-eye concealer.
Probably not the best foundation out there but definitely not the worst I've ever tried. If it continues to perform as it did on the initial wear test, then I'll quite happily purchase again just to have a portable, easy to use, no fuss foundation on hand.

After months and months of trying nearly every foundation ever invented from Estee Lauder (expensive) to Collection 2000 (cheapie) I have finally found the ONE!!
This is fantastic, my skin is a pain; oily T-zone but with some dry areas and vey spot prone. This foundation evens everything out nicely, gives great coverage on my spotty areas (no extra concealer needed), doesn't cake or cling to dry bits and stays put. What more could you ask for?
I have also noticed an improvement in my skin since I started using this, I think it's because I'm not layering loads of different products on i.e foundation, seperate concealer and powder, this one product does the job of all three.
I would recommend anyone to try it.

I have to say I lucked out on this one. I was travelling a LOT and since one cannot bring liquids on board I was just looking for something to put in purse to touch up after long flight so I don't scare people away at baggage claim. I saw this at the airport pharmacy, read the ingredients as best I could in a hurry (I am very sensitive) and guessed at a color, meaning not the lightest they had and not the next darkest. I figured it would be good enough.
A very pleasant surprise awaited me - the color "warm almond" in UK, is nearly ideal for my hard to match fair-neutral coloring. The coverage is quite full without being masky, does a good job of covering up imperfections, and one can build it easily over the peskier areas. After a good moisturizer, I found it showed less flakiness than alone. It does apply as sort of a cream to liquid - it is not a powder foundation - but once applied, which I did simply with the sponge provided, it sets, and then needs no powder on top. Later in the day one might need a quick powder if you are shiny. It lasts fairly well throughout the day, and easy to throw in purse if you need a touch up. The packaging is crap - but I always have a mirror with anyway......they should change it though really. It is a matte finish without being too matte, makes my pores look smaller, and provides an elegant coverage without being too masky. Doesn't make me itch, and, so far, no breakouts.
All in all, what I thought was going to be a fill in makeup, I find to be quite a FIND. I have a very hard time with finding a foundation that does not break me out, matches my coloring, and makes me look halfway decent. This was a remarkable buy for a quick grab. I don't think it has sunscreen so that's something I will have to add in moisturizer. Or perhaps I will only use this for evenings out, as it has that kind of coverage on me anyway. Lovely product and I do hope they change the packaging.
