I bought this knowing that it may be a dud. But since it was a buy 1/get 1 deal I figure I wouldn't be losing much (plus I could always give it to my sisters). My biggest gripe is it makes my eyes water and I find the incessant need to scratch it off! Maybe it's just too powdery/chalky for me; or maybe my eyes are just too sensitive for this formulation. But I think I will be handing it to my sister due to my reaction to it. Which makes me sad, because I really wanted it to work =(

I bought chai latte because I saw it used by a youtube makeup guru a couple of months back. I was amazed at how pigmented it was. The crease color is comparable to MAC's amber lights. All of the colors work together very well. Overall, I like it. I will use this as my on the go makeup when I don't have time in the morning to search through my more expensive eye shadows and pigments. I see a lot of people complaining about the brow color and how it's too light, but it's light because it's a 'highlighter', it's suppose to be light. If you're looking for an everyday smokey brown eye look, buy this! It's great. I want to try the other color pallettes now!

Love the colors- creases on me horribly without a base
Highlight color barely shows up...but thats not a big deal because the other colors are great. I got mine at cvs in a buy one get one free deal so I picked up another similar quad that I love just as much. recommend this for cheap drugstore e/s...much better than other brands ive tried like covergirl etc.

Except for the brow bone colour, the 3 other colours are beautiful, pigmented, creamy, have pretty good texture and staying power, and blend well. No creasing with UDPP. I haven't tried using it w/o UDPP but generally I find everything creases on me w/o UDPP. I don't usually combine shimmery and matte colours though, so I haven't yet figured out a way to wear all the colours at once in a nice way (and I have asian eyes so I can't put the shimmery colour on my "crease" because I have no crease) (let me know if you have any suggestions for me! haha). I took a lippy off for the brow bone colour which is very very sheer and the texture is also chalky compared to the other three. The packaging... the look of it is ok, but it doesn't seem that durable, and they could've made it more compact.

Okay, so I've used this quad for a few months now and this might be my final verdict:
- I like it pretty well b/c I find a lot of good uses for it. The darker color I can use for my eyebrows too :D! That color is extremely pigmented.
- I love that gold color! So gorgeous and pigmented. LOVE IT!
- All the colors feel so nice, soft and smooth. Although it can be kind of powdery (not so much that it would get annoying).
- The lid color is not so pigmented so a good base is necessary. The brow bone color - I guess I don't use it enough to have an opinion. It's alright.
So, I think this is good but I would say not the best to have if you're just starting out. There are def. better neutral shadows out there.

I bought this palette from one of the youtube's makeup gurus' reviews. I like the bronze/gold and dark brown colors in this quad. The highlight color is barely visible and lack of pigmentation. The taupe color is so-so, not as pigmented as the darker ones but good enough to blend the rough edges. I won't buy this palette again. I'd rather buy single eyeshadows that are more pigmented with the same shades that this quad has to offer.

I like how this quad comes in very neutral colors, and there are 2 matte's and 2 shimmers. I feel like the high light color barely shows up...there's like more sparkles than the shadow. And I'm loving that bronze/hint of orange shadow!
Edit: I'm really loving this quad more and more. I love using the lid color, a matte taupe to blend out any colors for neutral looks. The darker, chocolate matte brown is perfect for filling in my brows. And it just goes wonderfully in the outer corner and as eyeliner. This quad is very versatile and has many uses. This is the quad I most often reach for!

I guess I am the odd one out on this. Chai Latte looked beautiful in the package, but I felt it really lacked pigment on. It didn't show up that well on me using TFSI as a base. I am fair medium.

I love, love, love this quad. Highly pigmented and the colors go well together. The only thing I don't like is that the brow bone color is a bit too shimmery for my taste.

This product is pretty good for a drugstore eye shadow. My favourite colours are the matte ones because they have more pigment, but the shimmery ones have a good amount of pigment also. I tend to use these wet because they are more vibrant that way, but I also like them dry. The pigment is pretty good if you're looking for something very natural. The colours are a light shimmery cream colour, a matte taupe, a very shimmery bronze/gold and a matte chocolate brown. My favourites are of course the two matte ones but I also love the light cream colour. They are easy to blend and are very soft. I like these quads, especially because they are cheap. You have to put a base with any shadow, because almost every shadow will crease without a base, so this doesn't crease as long as I put a base. The only gripe I have with these are the cheap packaging, the lid broke off on mine. But, anyhow, great product Maybelline!

I really like this eyeshadow =) Good pigmentation, good staying power and easy to blend. Great to use as neutral everyday thing or if you go heavier on the dark color i think one could also get a good shadowy look going. I also have this palette in the green but haven't used it.

This quad is very neutral, perfect for an every day look. The lid color is probably my favorite shade in the quad. I use it all over my lid and line/define with the darkest taupe shade. I give this product 4 lippies because the highlight color is too light and barely shows up. I have yet to try the shimmery color but it looks gorgeous and very wearable. The packaging is a bit cheap, but this quad is perfect for on the go!

I love the colors in this quad. It has a nice nude for the lid, a shimmery deep gold for the crease, a beige with slight shimmer for the brow, and a dark chocolate for the corner. Each of the colors are gorgeous, though they are a bit dark for my light complexion. They need a primer bad, otherwise they are transparent and easily rub off.

They were, like all quads, cheap. But, the packaging sucks. One drop, the top is broken, and the shadows will easily shatter. And the wands that come with it suck too.

This is a pretty nice little drugstore find. I'm impressed with the quality and pigment in these shadows. I've had some bad luck with Maybelline eyeshadows in the past, but these are great. For reference, I have brown eyes and brown hair, light olive skin, and usually have a hard time finding browns that don't make my lids look dirty or muddy.

As the previous reviewer said, the colors are matte taupe, a rich bronze, a light champagne/beige, and a dark matte brown. The lightest color barely shows up on me. I put it all over my lid, from lash to brow. I use the matte taupe as the main lid color, and the dark brown as liner. I don't use the bronze as much, but it is a very striking color and I like it as a liner as well.

One thing I will say is that this is a messy quad. The mattes especially are kind of flaky and chunky when you try to get color on the brush. They aren't silky smooth in the packaging like some other shadows I've used. I end up making a bit of a mess on my cheeks, and the container doesn't stay as nice (chunks of the dark colors get all over the other shades, etc.).

Chai Latte is an excellent quad to have as part of your staple. This quad has been reformulated but since I never owned the previous version, I can't say how much better the reformulatd version turned out.

In any event, I love the quality and texture of this quad, especially because it's a drugstore product and I got it BOGOF. Each color is labelled for the lid, the crease, the browbone, and the outer corner. The colors are: matte medium taupe (lid), frosty/shimmery bronze/copper (crease), a pale champagne with subtle shimmer (brow bone), and a matte dark brown (outer corner).

As a previous reviewer mentioned, you do not necessarily have to follow the suggestions that each color corresponds to the lid, crease, etc. In fact, since I like smokey eyes, I use the matte dark brown for the lid.

The matte dark brown is an awesome neutral-toned shade - I don't find any red undertones, which is great since a lot of brown eyeshadows that I find in the drugstores tend to be red-based. And also, as a previous reviewer stated, it is strange that there is a warm-based eyeshadow (the bronzey/coppery color) mixed in with other neutral-toned eyeshadows.

The only negative is the packaging - the container is a cheap and flimsy plastic and I don't know how long it will hold together if you are constantly opening and shutting the container. It also doesn't come with a mirror. It does come with two sponge applicators. I hardly use sponge applicators but I have noticed that I get a more pigmented application with this quad when I use the sponge applicators as opposed to my eyeshadow brushes.

A definite repurchase!

Love this quad. All the colors are very nice separately and together, and you don't have to use them as suggested. They are also superblendable and show up well against my dark skintone. I love to use the bronze color on my lids with a shadow brush for a sheer wash of color, and the dark brown is great for a natural look. This also can help to create nice smoky eyes. Overall, this color cobo is great. If I run out, I will definitely repurchase.
