I bought this on a total impulse in aqua (not at all a colour I would normally buy), to go with a limited edition shadow collection (Beach Glass)and didn't realize what it was. Wow, if you want a fine line this is it. It doesn't overpower my lower lashline and I can still make it thicker for the top line.
It's a bit waxy but anything that stays on my oily lids is OK with me, besides for the stick to stay in tact when it's that thin would have to be harder. I'm amazed...I thought I would use it once and throw it out. I would buy this liner again in different colours. It wears as well as Colorstay pencil liner IMO. I like it better than the Ultra-Thin Eye and Brow Pencil from Paula's choice as I bought the "Classic Brown" and it doesn't show up at all....literally nothing, (I'm a light-medium skin toned Caucasian with medium blonde lashes). I like the PC liner to fill in sparse spots in my brows. Line Stylsit from Maybelline is a nice fine liner!!

Horrible. Felt like I was dragging a toothpick across my eyelid! I thought cool - a thin line is what I wanted, but it was so hard to sweep this across. Also I expected it to be pointed, but the pencil was flat! I purchased this in expresso color and it made my green eyes appear tired & red. Overall this was a horrible pencil. It's better just to spend some real money to get quality, instead of wasting $6 here and there on this crap. Would not recommend or repurchase.

This stuff is horrible. I was extremely disappointed when I didn't read or look at the packaging carefully. It says you can custom draw thin or thick lines. What they mean is ... you can draw a thin line only, then keep drawing over and over to create a thicker line. On first use it was okay - pulled a little but I'm used to that for waterproof eyeliners. Tried using it again a week later and the tip either crumbled or I had to break it off and try using a new point. This week I give up and it went in the trash can. I gave this a 5 for expensive because it's so dry that you end up using half the pencil. I'm going to Mac's PowerPoint.

BTW - I adore their long wearing liguid eyeliner.

It is too bad that this liner irritated my eyes, because I really loved it!
I didn't experience any of the crumbling or tugging that other reviewers did. It drew the perfect line and was easy to apply. I bought this in the brown shade. After two attempts and getting that weird, blinky eye feeling, I decided to give it up...I will be giving this to my sister!

Wow! I love this eyeliner! I ran out of my usual stuff (Revlon Colorstay), so I borrowed this from my mom. I was so amazed! I'm going to get my own tomorrow. The thin pencil makes it easy to draw the perfect line. I would definitely recommend this one.

Well I should have read the reviews first. I thought this might be a cheaper alternative to the Paula's Choice Ultra Thin pencil. It seems to take a zillion clicks to get any of the liner to come up, and as others have said, it crumbles very easily. It tugs at my lid and does not go on smoothly. Huge waste of $6.49.

The eyeliner took several clicks to get the chalky pencil up. I didn't even make one full line on my upper eye lid without the liner crumbling. I figured that it was the first part of the liner so I shrugged it off and clicked more up. But, it kept crumbling. It does not go smoothly on.

However once I did get it on, it stayed in place for the evening to my satisfaction. I didn't wear this for long or in a hot environment, so I cannot make a reliable judge on how well it would stay put in a humid/tropical environment.

Washing it off was more of a pain than anything. My original liner, (CARGO) stays put and washes off easily with a gentle cleanser. This does not. It smudges all over my eye and boy does it sting! I will be throwing this one out.

Horrible eyeliner. I bought it in Jade flash and I almost tore my eyelid trying to put it on! It's crumbly and does NOT glide on smoothly.
Stay away from this.

I love this stuff. It last all day and makes a nice precise line. I love how its kinda gel-like but it goes on like a pencil. This is my favorite eyeliner.

I bought this in bright highlight and when i tested it on my hand I thought I had found a gem...not so when I tried to apply it to my eyes...the tip crumbled off with very little pressure applied. I like the color but it tugs at the skin and crumbles....

I saw the mixed reviews for this product, so I wasn't going to buy it at first. But I've been looking for a white shimmer highlighter for the inner corners of my eyes, and the only product that seemed suitable was Maybelline line stylist in the white shade. So I took the risk, and I'm glad I did. This shade is called Bright Highlight, and it appears on my skin as a slightly sheer, white, glimmery shade. (I'm PPP) It brightens up my eyes subtly when I use it on the inner corners. However I still took off 2 lippies because as the other reviewers said, its hard to apply as a liner, and the stuff is a bit crumbly. And they give you SO LITTLE product...only 50mg?? (Compared to 28g in Rimmel's Exaggerate eye definers) Like the packaging though. I would recommend this product only as a highligher, not a liner.

I would not buy this liner again. As bemoaned by a fellow reviewer, it took me many, many stroke of the liner to get decent color/pigment onto the lids, and the product was not smooth at all and tugged significantly on my lids. The staying power was poor. The only bonus is that it does draw thin lines well, but what is the point if it tuggs my skin like crazy, doesn't last, and the color doesn't impart well?

this is more expensive than i thought it'd be for maybelline ($6), but i had a$1 coupon, so it was ok. Anyway, I got Sapphire Glimmer. It's a bright royal blue w/ silver shimmer. Really pretty! The tip hasn't broken off on me and the pencil itself is pretty thin. This color makes my grey-ish blue eyes pop! I love it. I like wearing this liner w/ bronze shadow. draws a perfect line.

*EDIT* so the tip did end up breaking on me and i pretty much don't use it anymore because it's just too much of a hassle to put on! the color's still ok, so i'll give it a two

Got this in Bronze Gleam and think it's ok...no problems applying (goes on pretty smooth with no tugging) and I haven't had any problems with the tip crumbling or breaking off. It seems to have pretty decent staying power and hasn't irritated my eyes at all (contac lens wearer)...good deal at CVS for $6.49, my major complaint is that the color (a lighter shade of brown with some gold shimmer) wasn't exactly as I thought it would be although it looks nice. I would probably purchase again though...

Horrible...needed like a hundred strokes just to get any decent pigment on my eyes, not to mention the tip kept breaking off! Just tugged at my lids, and the line ended up thick and blotchy. Would not buy this again.

I have this in Black sparkle, and it's just werid. It looks good on the top lashes only, but not the bottom. I have to apply it like crazy to get any color to show. It's not worth it, I'm going back to Revlons Colorstay.

I have to say, this product is amazing. I have never been impressed by drugstore makeup (I'm a department store snob), but this one has made me change my mind. First of all, I have never been able to find a liner that stays on my inner rims, lower lid area. I am also a contact lense wearer, so I have sensative eyes as well. This liner not only stayed in place, but it didn't smudge or irratate my eyes. I liked that there is no sharpening involved, as it is a twist-click liner. There is a good range of colors, and I especially love Onyx and the white highlighter. I took off a lippie b/c you can't get it as fine as they claim, and will have to stick with my BB gel liner for that. Overall, I highly recommend.

this review is for espresso and bronze gleam. I got this eye liner in "Bronze Gleam". Bronze Gleam reminds me a lot of Mac Teddy but is a lot cheaper and has better staying power. There was very mixed reviews on the boards and on here but I decided to buy anyways. I saw a picked over selection at walmart and luckily there was some that had been opened and cleary tested & the clerk did not mind if I tested one since they had already been open and they would not be able to sell those. I first tested the one I had been wanting the most- Espresso. This was a true dark dark brown and i saw no shimmer. It gave a PERFECT clean, thin line, with even color that glided on nicely. It was smooth going on but not overly creamy or overly dry. I wanted a lighter brown so I opted for the Bronze Gleam withotu testing it. After trying when I got home next to the expresso line it looked like a completely different eye liner. It had lots of gold shimmer and when pressed down a certain way gave a unclean line that was not intense and that had uneven spots of dark and light color. This one also had little crumbs that would fall off a little if I tried to make a darker line. The line with the bronze gleam was also thicker then the espresso line. It comes out okay if I press down at a certain angle so Im not sure if I will be returning, but I will be getting the expresso as it was a perfect liner. I think the shimmery liners are the one giving the most trouble but the non shimmery ones are great. I had no problem at all with breakage after trying both liners, however I only clicked up literally a millimeter- and this gave a perfect line and I had no trouble with the amount being too small. edit* after playing with the BG on my eye more I notice the brown liner itself is not very pigmented, the gold glitter shows up well but I have to go over the same area a lot to get a good brown line. On my hand i can get it to show up perfectly but its a hit or miss on the eye area. I did go back this morning and buy the espresso and Im loving it.

I love this eyeliner! I have tried multiple liners (both pencil and liquid) and have never been able to draw a precise, thin line above my eye without either looking like a panda or looking like I was just beat up. With this pencil, I have been able to draw a very, very thin line to make my eye appear larger and at the same time it still looks very natural. I have not had any problems with it crumbling. The one I purchased was Onyx black and I love it! I wonder if the ones with the shimmer are the ones that are crumbling?

I have this in Plum Shimmer and I LOVE IT. It's just about equivalent to my Clinique Quickliner in 15 Grape. Plum Shimmer fits its name. The only difference is that it has (very fine) copper-like shimmer when you look at the liner at a certain angle in the light for that color to be reflected. Staying power's great (and I have very oily lids, as well as bottom lid area), it looks natural, and the price can't be beat ($7 at Target) compared to Clinique's Quickliner (which is pricey for me). As for the thickness of the line when it's on, it was about a millimeter and a half thick. That's as thin as I can get it. The tip is different from most eyeliners... it's thin, long and the actual product comes out very slowly as you click-twist it. I have NOT had any problems with this liner. It did not crumble on me as some reviewers have noted... I personally say that I can apply it on with a light hand. It's a very thin and compact liner, imo. Not bulky at all. The important thing is that the lid stays on really well, so I don't have to worry about it opening in my busy purse. I really want to try the next one in Black.
