Shimmery chocolatey brown with the faintest hint of copper. Makes my greyish blue eye POP and makes a great smokey eye for my NW15 skin.

If applied with anything other than the lightest of touch, you'll be revisiting heroin chic. Having said that, when lightly brushed across the eyelids (stopping at the crease), it gives the lids a nice polish. I'll use this for creating a professional look.

I bought this on a whim because it just looked so darn beautiful in the package (I am a total sucker for pretty eyeshadows- even if I don't wear them) but I was amazed at how wonderful this eyeshadow really is. It is the most gorgeous brown color that can be worn a little lightly or can be worn very dark because the texture is just so darn great. I personally wear it in my crease and it is great to hear so many people say- "Oh, your makeup looks so pretty" "What eyeshadow are you wearing?" or "Your eyes sparkle!". Love it LOVE it LOVE IT!!!

So this shadow makes my eyes look kind of sunken, but in the really really hot way. It's kind of dark IMO but that's what I like about it. It has amazing staying power.

I have been obsessed with this shadow lately! I love this - a neutral, but not boring, and seems to pick up different tones in different lighting. This is the one brown I constantly grab, because it isn't a flat color, wonderful bronze (but not orange) cast and flatters my deep brown eyes. You can also use it wet to pull more of a metallic sheen. Also, this is shimmery, but NO migrating glitter, which is very important to me. I look forward to getting more of the UD shadows of this consistancy. For reference, I am NC35/40, brown eyes.

I LOVE SMOG! I have hazel eyes and this color really makes them pop. It's a brownish bronze with a hint of shimmering olive green (more so bronze). Blends in very well and staying power is great.

i tried this shadow from one of UD lighter palette -thingys. i really liked this shadow. i'm a PPP with light green eyes and pink undertones, and i think that this works really well with my complexion. i would buy this product (as in just the shadow) if/when i have the chance. i'd really like to obtain it in a swap (hint hint).
*note* i'm rating the packaging a 3 simply because i got it in the lighter thing, so i dont know how good the actual package is. the lighter thing was awesome.

I LOVE this shade!! It's not too easy to find shades that look good with my skin tone (light, rosy complexion) but Smog is absolutely gorgeous on. Its like a dark bronzey color, and looks super sophisticated. I like to wear it on the lid with Chopper on the crease.

I love Smog. This is a great shimmery golden brown thats the perfect brown. Not too ashy or not too muddy.Nice pigment and blends just wonderful.I like wearing this for daytime for everyday things like my kids school functions or just grocery shopping! Not too over the top yet it definately still makes your eyes pop.My perfect brown.

Finally, a brown color that didn't make my asian eyes/skin look too pale/yellow/small or sickly!! It's realyl hard for me to find nice neutral shades that dont have red undertones or that are so light they disappear into my skin, but this is really nice, opens up my eyes nicely and blends well. The color lasts a long time too, doesn't crease or fade, and I dont use a base! Only thing is, i just wish it weren't so frosty/shimmery. It doesn't look THAT shimmery in the pan, but I find I need to be careful with this color, one heavy touch of the hand and it just looks too much on my skin. .

I myself feel that UD eyeshadows are also hit or miss with me. Smog is one of those that is a "hit". The color is as a previous reviewer stated, a dark bronzy gold-one could also perhaps call it a shimmery dark golden brown. This shadow is higly pigmented..which for me translates into silky application..no glitter in this shadow which means no shadow falling everywhere EXCEPT your lid. I like using it as a lid color and it creates a nice muted "smoky" eye when you use a dark liner smudged at the lash line. It is also is nice used in the crease. A beautiful warm dark golden brown shimmery shade that definitely works for me. For reference I am a NC30-35 olive toned dark brown, brown eyed gal.

The UD shadows are hit and miss with me. I cant work with the glitter shades. They are nice quality, but too much work with the visine and all. And if I dont use visine, glitter in my contacts. Quite uncomfortable. That being said, the shimmer shadows from UD are excellent. Very pigmented, smooth, last all day, easy to blend. Smog is a golden brown with a hint of khaki to it. Great for daytime. Very pretty and natural and not your standard boring brown.

What a wonderful shade. This is a dark coppery brown with green undertones. It does look similar to Stila Golightly but this is way darker. This looks great with a smokey eye look.

I love this color, it's very sexy and gives a great shading color. The reason for a lower rating is first of all, the price. I am not a Sephora girl, and I only got this with a gift certificate. I would not spend this much on just one eyeshadow. Second, the packaging is bad. Within two days the eyeshadow cake broke, and now whenever I open the cap, Smog dust sprinkles everywhere...

I loooove this eye shadow! I have been in a bit of a brown/ matte rut for the past 10 yrs. And shimmer was out- crepey lids(sundamage) but this even I can use!! I do use mat allover first then accent crease w/ this beeeyouteeful brown(ish) color- subtle- yes, but a great update for me! Awesome texture- blends effortlessly! Highly recommend!

Smog is a great medium brown eyeshadow with golden shimmers. If used lightly as a wash it just brings out the green in my eyes beautifully without being too coppery in tone (copper eyeshadow makes me look sickly...). When used more heavily or wet, the golden glitter is more prominent. This is perhaps the only "dark" colour I would use on the eyes combined with red lipstick! The powder is very pigmented but soft and easy to blend.

This is one of my favorite Urban Decay colors. When I bought it I was going to buy 4 other colors along with it that were very simliar, then I decided I was spending a lot of money so I tested them all out. NONE of them complimented my MMM/GGG skin tone except Smog! I love it, it's such a beautiful, rich color and is so easily blendable. Sometimes I wear it alone, or I wear a lighter shadow on my lids and use Smog in the crease. It always looks great.

I really like this shade: it's neutral enough (being brown / copper) to wear during the daytime (ie, to work), but it's got enough punch (because of the golden shimmer, which is subtle yet unmistakenable) to stand out from your average brown shadow.
Because of the golden flecks and intensity of the shade (which can easily be changed by how much you add; this shadow is very versatile in terms of how light / dark it can be), it doesn't feel like blah brown at all. Plus, the color is quite long-lasting; it's still there and still uncreased at the end of the day. It really makes your eyes pop, manages to be appropriate for daywear (and cool for nightwear) without sacrificing its uniqueness, and its staying power is great.
One warning: when you apply with a brush, the powder is pretty loose, so make sure that, if you're a klutz like me, you've wiped it off your cheekbones before you go out :)
