I use the mineral veil as a highlighter or all over to set the loose mineral foundation. When i use other powder foundations as a highlighter. When using the BE foundation I have to use it over top because the foundation is flat I've even thought of mixing the two but I'm afraid I'll just end up with a product i can't use.
I don't find that the shimmer is to much for all over it is very subtle.
I use it on a daily basis when working, But not on my days off.

I hate BE products because I swear they make me look dramatically OLDER - and I've noticed that effect with many other women, too. I've tried the products several times, but the older I get, the worse they make me look. Mineral Veil is the one exception. This is a really good finishing powder - super fine-milled with just the tiniest touch of illumination - NOT sparkles. When applied lightly with a kabuki brush, it sets make-up nicely and looks invisible close-up - which is what a setting powder is supposed to do. Not sure I'd buy again because there are so many cheaper products on the market, but it really does work nicely.

Hands down, cannot live without it. Beautiful finish, minimizes pores, absorbs excess oil and sets makeup.

Would I buy this product again.. maybe. It's pretty expensive, but it's my go to powder whenever I know I'm going to be photographed. It gives a beautiful finish, but I do need to keep blotting sheets on me as it doesn't control oil all that well.

This is my Go-To powder. I do enjoy the glow it gives me when I use it. Does it give me a flawless complexion? Um, not when my skin is all kinds of messed up, but when my skin doesn't have too many bumps, this stuff just enhances the healthy look of my skin. The only con is that I hate the container - just like every other powder out there. It may just be me, because I'm clumsy like that, but I wish there were a better way to keep powder. Other than that, I like it a lot.

Just to be clear, I have the original version that came with my starter kit. I think this powder is great. It's very fine and like a light pink color, but totally translucent when you apply it. I put on my foundation, blush and concealer and then use this to set my powder and my face becomes totally matte and holds all day. I've read that you should use this on liquid foundation and then use blush (so the textures don't clash) but I haven't tried that yet. I would recommend this product and I think it's great, but if you're on a budget then its something you can go without.

I like this a lot. It gives a nice matte finish. I recently bought Mineral Veil with spf 25 and surprisingly (or not surprisingly) it looks a bit more chalky, but settles in and disappears quickly.

I like this one better than MUFE's Microfinishing Powder (although it is more refined, it made me break out!). BE's mineral veil is also light and good for any skin tone, it doesn't change skin color and it didn't break me out. This is my best finishing powder that works very well over my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer.
I just hope they upgrade the packaging like the ones they have on foundations, to avoid spillage.

This is a good finishing powder and goes well with Bare Minerals foundation. I have dry/ normal combination skin and I find that this takes a lot of moisture from my face and leaves it feeling a little tight/dry and flakey.
But as a setting powder it's very finely loose and performs well as a last step to skin make up every morning.
I'd probably try MUFE's HD setting powder when I run out of this as I heard great things about that setting powder.

I'm a huge fan of this product, and all of their others! BM makes my skin look and feel amazing! I tend to break out like mad, and after a week of using this, my skin is sooooo clear. I used BM about a year ago and went back to drug store brands...trying to save money...but the money I saved switching back only went to spending more on acne creams and washes. I will never go back to another brand again...I am a firm believer that this is the best foundation everrrrrrr.

This is suppose to be like an airbrushing tool.. to blur the look of pores and fine lines. BE's finishing powder... it also mattifies. I don't find that its effective on darker skin tones(try the tinted mineral veil). I think this product is OK, nothing amazing.

I love this product! It makes my skin feel smooth without any trace of it. It absorbs all oil from my face. And I like the pink cover!

I don't use this very often, it seems to just melt on my face and not do much for me. It does help with shine, and I got the portable compact for it, but it's so messy and the included brush was so bad, it now sits in my makeup drawer, so that was a waste of money. I did use it on my husband once when he had to take a photo for work and his forehead was gleaming like a headlight, it looked natural on him, didn't show up in the photo, and did tame the shine. Maybe I'll take the compact in to the office and just leave it there, and get a cheap kabuki brush to go with it. I just hate wasting things, and that stupid compact filled with mineral veil feels like a waste.

I like this. It took some time to finally use it but once I did, I like it. The packaging still really stinks on BE products so I didnt rate it as high.

Maybe for someone with no noticeable pores to begin with, this product may seem to make no difference - but I have large pores, and lots of them. I apply this lightly with Everyday Minerals' flat-top brush after using its original mineral foundation and it blurs any remaining pores for me. The sifter jar has too many holes though - because the powder is soooo fine, even with half of the holes taped up I still got too much product. I ended up taping 3/4 of its holes to control the amount and that fixed the problem. Yes, definitely will re-purchase, unless I find something else that is cheaper and works the same.

I used bare minerals for a long time and never saw the purpose of mineral veil. It did nothing to change the appearance of my makeup.
It wasn't heavy, I never broke out from it but never seeing what it did for my face I still wore it every day lol. weird.

I'm actually finishing off what I have of this product. When I first started using it I didn't know any better and thought it was really good. I have to be careful with what I use this with. I never have problems when I used it on top of Bare Minerals products. But when I switch to other foundations and try to use it as a finishing powder to set my foundation, I find it sometimes turns me orange? Also when I use it on top of no makeup just to control shine and I happen to be wearing sunscreen, it also turns me orange. Seems like there is some chemical reaction going on and it doesn't leave me looking pretty! I will not repurchase this after I finish what I have. I am sticking with my Clinique Stay Matte powder.
