While I like this soap very much, the bar that I currently have does not smell very figgy. (A sample bar that I used in the past smelled figgier.) I mainly smell ylang-ylang, which is very pleasant.
The soap itself is very moisturizing and I like the scrubby seeds (I could do without the messy fig leaves, though).

Maybe the bar I got was old but this was very disappointing. Very little scent and what I can smell just smells like detergent of some sort.

wonderful fig scent. does a great job of exfoliating my skin without irritating it. creates a nice lather and washes off clean.

What i like about LUSH is they make unique products, and this is no exception. PRO: smells divine, the fig seeds are round, so not harsh on skin. CON: Would recommend to keep in soapdish with cover in shower because is very soft and dissolves easily with water.

i loooove this soap! its my favorite lush soap by far, and its been my fave soap in general for about a year. it has a beyond delicious and heavenly scent. id be a happier person if the entire world smelled like figs and leaves soap. this soap lathers fairly well, and a cake lasts for a decent amount of time.
there are pieces of a more translucent soap and what looks to be fig pulp imbedded in a creamy opaque soap with fig seeds. there is a layer of fig leaf on top. i promptly picked the leaf off; it was just making a mess. as the soap slowly dissolves, more and more fig seeds are exposed. they act as an exfoliator, and make the soap look realy interesting.

This is an interesting product. It's covered with leaves and has seeds in it. I thought I would love it, but I have a hard time smelling the fragrance.

This soap has a nice scent that fills the whole bathroom when you use it an lingers on the skin. I agree w. the other reviewer who said that the seeds are too scratchy. I find that the irregular shape of the seeds makes them harsh. Also, the seeds make a mess of my bathtub and so do the pieces of leaves that fall off. I have to pay speical attn and clean my tup after using. My husband has been using this soap and he likes it. He doesn't find the seeds too harsh, and I like the way it makes his skin smell.

Count me as another lover of this wonderful soap! I received one in a swap and immediately tried it. The scent is lovely, but not overpowering. I was initially hesitant to use this on my face but when I did, within 2 weeks my skin tone and appearance had really improved. I will definitely purchase.

I received this soap as a custom purchase from the lovely Blyss.
I LOVE it!
Its creamy fragrant lather smells really figgy which is a note that I covet in both perfumes and bath/body products.
Its so beautiful to look at, love the fig seeds that serve as natural exfoliant and really love the scent.
This is my first ever LUSH producst purchase and I give it two thumbs up. (if only I had more thumbs! lol)

I love everything about this soap except for the seeds! Can you say "Ouch"? These seeds really scratch me up in the shower, so I only lather up the soap in my hands because it's so uncomfortable to rub on my skin. Maybe I'm a wuss, but until Lush does something about the seeds I'm using up what I have and that's it!

Diane went into great details about this soap so I think I can bypass on those! :P (thanks Diane!) i will say for sure that it's ultra moisturizing and wonderfully scented. It's a natural fruity fig with a hint of light floral. Even my SO loves it cause he doesnt have to wear cream after a shower. I also love the fig seeds that act as a natural exfoliator. I highly recommend this!

I adore this soap. It's fabulous scent fills my entire bathroom and lingers on the skin.It is such a unique, lovely fragrance, I wish they had a cologne in this one! It has lots of lather, but is very gentle and non drying. Below is the description and the ingredients from Lush's site.
Ingredients: Fig Decoction (Ficus carica), Sodium Palm Kernelate, Glycerine, Aloe Vera Extract (Aloe barbadensis), Perfume, Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata), Orange Blossom Absolute (Citrus dulcis), Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Chloride, Tetrasodium EDTA.
Figs and Leaves could possibly have a biblical reference in the title; it could be that this beautifully soft soap, positively brimming with real, nutritious figs, is so good for your skin that you could happily go out wearing nought but a fig leaf or two or three for decency's sake. The tiny fig seeds in it gently exfoliate your body, taking away the old skin cells and leaving you smoother. Aloe vera is marvellous for the skin; its Indian Sanskrit name is kumari, meaning young girl, because it is believed to restore vitality to the body. Figs and Leaves is perfumed with ylang ylang and orange blossom oils to tone and stimulate the skin. Ylang ylang is even rumoured to keep the breasts firm (but please don't call us if nature continues to take its course despite regular washing). Suffice to say that if you're planning to strip off on the beach, you could so worse than wash all over daily with fragrant Figs and Leaves.
