I really don't notice much of a difference in my hair after using this. The packaging is cute, but highly impractical.

I have thick hair, but it's very fine and tends to go limp by the end of the day. This product gives me great body that lasts all day. The fruity smell is a bit strong and I'm sure there are those who don't like it, but it doesn't bother me. The only drawbacks are the odd shaped packaging (hard to travel with, and I travel a lot) and that it's almost impossible to get off of my hands after applying.

This is by far the best thickifier I've tried for my fine, blond, scandinavian hair. Beats Redkens Thickening lotion that had a tendency to make my hair sticky and coarse. The texture makes it easy to spread evenly in my hair, and the smell is heavenly - I love bubble gum flavoured products:9 It needs a shelf of its own though due to the odd shape.

Wow! What a terrific product! I have thin/fine/oily hair & most products I've tried just weigh my hair down & make it look/feel more oily. Not this one! Smells great, works great! I absolutely LOVE the look I get when I use it! And for the teensy amount you need to use, the bottle (convenient pump form) will last foreva! =)

Love the smell of it, and think this it a bit better than Redken's thickening lotion beacuse this one makes the hair
fluffy at the same time as it softens the hair and gives it texture.

This effectively thickens my fine, thin hair without making it cruncy or stiff. I use it before blow drying. You only need to use a little bit, and the bottle lasts a long time. I'm neutral on the smell--it is synthetic-smelling, but not necessary unpleasant, and I don't notice it after I've finished styling my hair. I got if off ebay so it wasn't too expensive.

I'm torn about this product, because I love what it does for my hair: it really gave it volume, helped the flyaways stay in place, made it shiny, etc. And I also really do like the scent, but the problem is that the scent was SO strong that it's all I could smell! I love fragrances and am always trying out new ones, and regardless of what fragrance I was wearing I would smell like the blueberry/grape bubble gum-ish scent of Small Talk. Which is a nice scent, don't get me wrong,(actually DH really liked it) but just a little too much, and I don't want to smell like that every day. If it weren't for how strong the scent was, this would definitely be a keeper for me.

I have thin fine hair, and this stuff did wonders for making it feel lush and thicker. I use it before drying with my new Helen of Troy Professional (a hot round brush). Haven't tried naturally drying my hair with it yet, but have a feeling it'll be great that way too. The pump is a pain to get started and it's pretty expensive. Would definitely buy again though for the great results!

Just tried Small Talk this morning and was pleasantly suprised. Blew my hair out with a round brush, and my normally fine, dry, flat hair was soft and bouncy, with no stiffness or stickiness. The smell is yummy blueberries. Very expensive at $18.95. But, I only used 2 pumps of this, so I could see this lasting about a year with noderate use. Overall, a great volumizing product!
Update: I am using this ALL the time now...I just love it! Volumizes and softens, and kills frizz and adds shine...what else can you ask for? Oh, and if you want yummy smelling hair, use B2B Vanilla Plum s/c, followed by Tigi Small Talk, followed by Tigi Afterparty!

Love, love, love this product! I got it as an early present, and it came along with Mastermind. The package itself is cute, but I agree with the review below about how traveling with it may be a bit difficult. I have shoulder length, layered fine hair, and this worked the best of any product I've used as a thickener. I apply two pumps to my hair after I get out of the shower, and then blow dry. My hands are left a bit sticky after applying. The smell is wonderful. My hair is thicker, with good volume and a great smell. I usually finish off with the Tigi shine spray. I don't really have any qualms with the product, and definitely plan to repurchase.

I guess I'm one of the few who don't really like this product. It did absolutely nothing for my super straight, long, fine hair. It left it a little gummy and slimy (only used 2 lite pumps) and that's about it.

Ok, I LOVE this product!!!! I use this on my thick naturally curly shoulder length hair when it is damp. I toweldry my hair, apply some leave in conditioner and the small talk and wrap in a towel for 40 minutes.
Let me start by saying all the things I love:
-Love the smell (reminds me of blueberry chewing gum)
-I've noticed my hair is thicker
-good to use on dry hair when you want to add some 'oomh'
-the pump - you only need one squirt - so this will last a liftime.
What didn't I like?
-Although I love the cute packaging...its not all that practical when you need to travel. The weird sphere shape makes packing quite ackward.

So far so good. This stuff is just what my curly hair needed this winter, the frizzy dryness is gone! I'm not as sold on the scent of this as with most TiGi. It smells like Grape Bubble Yum to me, and I truly hate artificial grape smell/taste. But, I'll put up with the smell for tidied hair. Too bad it's so friggin expensive though. EDIT: Took off a lippie, since I'm not convinced this is really worth it- plenty of other products seem to work as well for curl tidying, and the smell continues to annoy me. And it adds crunchiness, which is kind of annoying too.

Gosh, lol....I don't want to be lynched by my dear MUA friends who LOVE this but....I will say if I had naturally curly hair I would love this. But, I have pin straight, fine, highlighted hair (see pic in profile) and as much as I wanted to love this, I returned it!! I tried using it on wet hair, dry hair, you name it. Didn't hate it but it does no benefit for me and the price is insane! It is VERY slimy (and is even difficult to remove from your hands!) All this is....it's a silicone product and a gel all in one. It has vp/dmapa which is a fixative like pvp found in hair gel. However, some gels leave no crunchiness but this leaves your hair crunchy and sticky. Once you comb thru the crunch is GONE and it's fine. The smell is like grape bubble gum and oddly, I liked it (I usually prefer non-food scents) If you're looking for a gel and shine product like this one, try Beyond The Zone Frizz Control Gel. This has silicones, pvp, and conditioners. Your hair will not be sticky or crunchy and this can be found at Sally's for a reasonable price!

This product has nearly all you need for styling hair. It offers control, texture, hold and extra body. It is also reworkable and you can build onto hold. It is very versatile and depending on how you use it (on wet, damp or dry hair) and how much you use you can create many looks. On fine hair, you could create almost any look from a finger wave to a straight tousled look. If you hair is very course or heavy, you may need something with more hold for certain looks (especially looks that require you to fight your hair's natural tendencies). This is also one of very few styling products that is great on any hair length. So if you change your length very often, this might be your best bet. For hair that is chin length or shorter, you may want some manipulator or mastermind on the side for special effects. If you hair is longer and fine, you may want to try this as an alternative to mousse. I have always hated the "crispiness" of mousse, but this product gives you the benefits of mousse without that crispy feeling. It smells wonderful by the way.

i love this product! it as become my #1 styling product because it does the work of like three! it comes in a soap style dispenser so that there's very little wasted. it's opaque but a little goes a long way as so start with a small amount...i apply a pea size to my roots and then a pea size for the legnth on my shoulder length, layered hair...i leave it to airdry and i end up with soft, shiny, thicker hair, with my layers nicely defined and my hair smelling fantastic! i'm addicted to the scent (very fruity) and it does linger in the hair, which is an added bonus for me. it was $24 CDN and it should last a while because i use so little...its definately worth it if you want soft, shiny, defined hair. it has even surpassed the blow serum from Artec because i was finding the artec left some residue on my hair after it dried; small talk leaves no residue. all in all, worth the $!
EDIT: okay, i've been using this for a month and i'm finding that my scalp is developing these rash like bumps...this is the only hair product i've added so this must be the cause of them. It must be some ingredient that is irritating my scalp so i had to take off a lippie because it may not be safe for sensetive scalps. Oh well...at least i get to try more products now!
