kinda dissapointed with this product...yes it does stay on like it says..but if you wear contact lenses...do NOT put this on your water line..you will be seeing blurry all day or night! Also seeing that is is such a stay put liner its kinda hard to smudge it and get a softer looking line. its an ok product but prob wouldnt buy it again....

This is my first review! :) so I'm gonna keep it short n sweet. I love it. I like the way it goes on, it last for a long time. I tried it last night after I bought it, fell asleep with it on woke up it was still on a little smeared but hey! Still long wear! I tried it on my water line, had a sad moment... It lasted through the tears! Pretty legit if you ask me! I would purchase it again! After reading a few reviews I decided to twist it up slowly so that I wouldnt have trouble rolling it back down of needed! I will purchase this again!

This formula is a new technology that is showing up in the Nars and Cover Girl brands and it is going to knock gel liners out of the box. It lasts AS LONG as a gel liner which is only why we buy them but it is much easier to apply. The result is nicer too - no cracking or flaking just a smooth, softer but defined eye. What a blessing! My liner goes on pronto without the need for a brush and I do more creative lines with it because it COOPERATES! I picked up Coal Commander as a default because the black was out of stock and it is a surprisingly sophisticated steel grey with just a smidge of glimmer to keep it from looking flat. The packaging is awful but I paid so little for this it was worth the test drive. I will be investing in Nars though because the packaging is better and they have a great range of colours.

I usually stick w/liquid liners for their intensity. Got this in Coal Commander and so far, it's great
Price: around $7
Pkg: hate how I had to try 5mIn to twist it up
Colour: dark grey w/shimmer
Very pigmented and glides on smoothly. It stays on for 8+h on my super oily lids! Tho I can't say the same for my waterline. I love the soft shimmer and the smoky finish!

I just bought this eyeliner in midnight master yesterday, and so far I love it! It's super dark black and goes on nice and smooth! I haven't tried this on my waterline yet so I'm not sure how the staying power is there, but for lining my top lid, it was great! It stayed on all night and I even tried to rub it off to check how sturdy it was and barely anything smudged!

I love black eyeliner as it's a staple in my makeup and I have tried like a billion and I can say that this is definitely my go to for right now! (update when I try on my waterline) UPDATE 9.22: Used it on my waterline for a couple days now, and I like it! It stays on and if it does smudge ( which it does, only a little though) its not all over my face. Just a little underneath my lashes so I just wipe and BAM your good to go!

The only thing I'm not a fan of is the packaging and price. I got the retractable kind and I can only retract for more (sometimes, when it's not stuck!) and not less if I accidentally retracted a lot. I might have just gotten a bad batch but yeah. In terms of pricing, I think I paid about $10 for this and while it is cheaper than high end, it's not that cheap for drugstore, especially when there are packaging problems.

Hope this helps! =]

I have this in coal commander, which I was hoping would be a nice medium grey color (like the cap implied). It turns out its very very dark grey, more like a black eyeliner with blue shimmer. The pencil formulation is very nice. Soft and easy to apply without tugging, and it did seem to last all day and not smudge.
Thumbs up for the product, thumbs down for the color not matching the lid.

The product in general is great.
Similar to UD24/7's formula but in an automatic pencil.
But the price and packaging is just sux!
If you want the same amount of product that you get with U.D 24/7 you would end up paying way over $18.00!

The packaging for this is horrible. I used it once and then the part to twist up more product got stuck and when i attempted to snap it open to inspect it, I wasted the whole thing and ended up having to toss it. $10 literally in the trash. Not a fan due to the packaging and will definitely not repurchase.

Creamy, smooth, and last. It does take a while to roll up and at first you will think it is broke but keep rollin.

I found that this eyeliner went on creamy and smooth & it lasted all day on my bottom eyelid. I bought this in Bold Brown, only because on some mornings I am too rushed to apply my Smashbox Jet Set. So I kept this in my purse for back-up use. I don't agree with the advertising claim that the product has the drama and impact of liquid liner. Come on, Maybelline, that has been tried before! Some of you will recall that BB gel liner was originally presented in pencil form. I agree with other reviewers that I had some trouble twisting up this pencil, so points off for that inconvenience. I also find that pencils like this one may seem cheap but really aren't. I find that cream/gel/liquid liners are a better value, at least for me. This product did not last me very long at all, so more points off for that too. I don't know that I will re-purchase, since I am planning to get the new Tarte eyeliner for those rushed mornings, and will review that product as well.

I'm actually on the fence about this product. On one hand, it does what it says it does. It doesn't smudge, fade, move, nothing. It stays all day which is perfect for when I'm at work. On the other hand, and maybe this is just me, it's messy to take off. I look like a raccoon when I'm removing my make up, whereas when I remove Maybelline Unstoppable or Eye Studio, it comes off cleanly. I'm thinking maybe it might just be that one since I've never had trouble with Maybelline eyeliner before, but that's the only real issue I've had with this eyeliner. Otherwise, it's probably one of the best eyeliners I've ever used!

My new favorite eyeliner! I'm so picky with eyeliner-- I used to only use mac or urban decay eyeliners for years but this is the best drugstore eyeliner hands down. I actually prefer it over any other pencil eyeliner. There seems to be a trade off; if you want a really dark creamy black eyeliner you can only get it with a pencil that you have to sharpen. Well I'm lazy & hate sharpening pencils & the retractable ones tend to tug your eyelid & skip. But this eyeliner is dark, doesn't need to be sharpened, & it's cheap! It also doesn't wear off like rimmel's retractable eyeliner. Loreal's self advancing eyeliner was almost as pigmented & smooth but the stick got so annoying. This one stays put all day & doesn't smudge. What more could you ask for from a drugstore eyeliner? This one puts mac's retractable eyeliner & urban decay's 24/7 to shame. My only complaint is that I wish the packaging were better. I broke it at first, twisting it up. I haven't had problems with it since but I've heard others complain about the quality. But other than that, perfect!

When it comes to eyeliners, I must say that I really like Maybelline's. I own the Master Drama eyeliner in both Sapphire Strength and Vibrant Violet. Both apply easily, last all day and don't irritate my eyes (which has been an issue for me with purple eyeliners). However, the purple shade is much less intense and really requires several layers before the pigment shows up well. The blue on the other hand is a seriously gorgeous ocean blue that looks amazing on my dark brown eyes. It's quite dramatic, but I can pull off a thin line on my lower lashes for daytime. I'd like to try Coal Commander next. Very nice product!

I was pleasantly surprised by this product! I LOVE matbelline line stylist but I really wanted to get this in coal commander because a grey eyeliner is something that's hard to come across! This is a wonderful color! It has shimmers that are apparent when you swatch it but don't really show up on your lids. Its kind of odd! anyways this product stays on so long!!!!!!! This is just as good as my Line Stylist in terms of staying power (i.e. you really have to scrub this off) but goes on much creamier. I love the way this glides, it reminds me of the Tarte gel eyeliner pencil. This color is so perfect, its not too light which I love but it's clearly not black either. I really really really want this in black! For those of you looking for something to go on your waterline this is NOT A GOOD OPTION! You should only ever use pencils that you can sharpen on your waterline and you should also sharpen that pencil every time you do your waterline. A twist up is not a healthy option unless risking being blind is what you're after. The model isn't even wearing it in her waterline on the posters or the commercial. overall this is a great, creamy, long wearing product if you wear it properly.

Wow!!! I got this to try in Midnight Master. A hot muggy humid day was the perfect day to try this out. Super Black pigmentation. Smooth as butter and it never budged or faded or disappeared!! An awesome eyeliner. I didn't have any packaging issues whatsoever. I turned it a few times and up it went. Try it! You won't be dissapointed.

I am not disappointed at all. This eyeliner is very black, and goes on so smooth! I love it! Although it did take a couple twists for more product to come out which scared me because i paid 10 dollars for it and I DEFINITELY would've freaked. I do love it :)

This is a great eyeliner! It's a mix of pencil and liquid, and you can do anything with it. If you make a mistake it disappears when you touch it. I wear it witH the falsies black drama. It makes my eyes look amazing! The only thing is sometimes it can just disappear during the day depending on what your doing.

I see many reviews that don't do justice to the product. I absolutely LOVE this liner. I have purchased tons of liners and they eventually fade, smear, or bleed out. This eyeliner stays put wherever I put it! I never reapply during the day and it comes off with makeup remover. It glides on just fine and the color is vibrant. I purchased the violet and black one and I live by this product. And YES IT GOES ON YOUR WATER LINE JUST FINE. and it stays on for a longer time than most liners do on the water line. For 7 bucks it a great product. Packaging does suck just because it took me a while to figure out how to mAke more product come out and u cannot twist back up. But it's not a deal breaker for me!! I recommend it. I'm sure if u purchase it you will find use for it! I'm definitely going back for the blue one! (:

I really liked this product! :) Went on easily, no tugging or pulling. I bought this in 'violet' and a problem I have noticed with colored eyeliners is they don't LOOK colored: just black with color tint. But this did look purple. So why did I give it a not so great review? Because I wore it to work, my eyes started watering and getting sticky and goupy and weepy. By the time I went home they were swollen and my actual eyes were completely red. I thought maybe it was something at work, but I tried it again for date night. Same thing, again. Too bad, I actually enjoyed this product!
I also DID NOT like that it didn't have a sharpener. Even automatic pencils should have that to get more control of your lining.
If you're not easily allergic to makeups (I am sometimes) then I would recommend it. If you are, be very cautious; by somewhere you can return just in case.
