The polish had no staying power and had to be touched up every day. I even used a separate top coat (something I'm usually really lazy about).

I do love the color selection. I bought the pale, almost white lavender "Lavender Cloud" and it was a really fun color. I did want to purchase "Commander in Chic" as well, but I'm glad I didn't. Hopefully I can find that great color in a better formula.

Okay like some here have stated I too have hated SH products for the same reasons BUT these are a completely different story. Long lasting, no chipping, nice sized brush (that takes a minute to get used to) And great color payoff. I'm so impressed that I have started a small collection of these (see profile pic from L to R: Choco-Latte,Pedal to the Metal, Grass Slipper, Yellow Kitty, Calypso Blue, Commander in Chic, and Navy Baby) and will keep collecting. Note: the only color that has been a little tricky to apply for me has been Navy Baby ( thick, dark, and seems to get everywhere) but I really like the color and so I will MAKE it work. I say Go get some!

For the record i LOATHE sally nail products. Sorry for all those who love them. I think they chip horribly and peel, and overall are a waste of money. I have very weak nails that are prone to peeling and I really can't grow them. To get a hardening nail polish ,that wears for a long time AND doesnt peel, is nearly impossible to find.

ANyways, I saw reviews for this on a nail blogging website and the blogger put up pictures of her nails after 3 days, 5 days, and 10 tens using this product. I was impressed, so I tried it.

This is one of the best nail polishes I've EVER used. I still use a strengthening base coat but it isn't needed for this. The brush is really great and it REALLY lasts for a long time without wear. I really can't stress how impressed I am with this.

you should really try it if you're looking for an exceptional (ugh i can't believe i'm using that word for sally hansen) nail formula.

I bought this only because a particular colour caught my eye. I have been looking for a slightly less intense version of China Glaze Japanese Koi and this was pretty close.
I love the idea of this polish, but it's not a complete polish. This may work with a base and top coat, but I'm reviewing it as the polish says it's an all in one colour.
On day one the colour chipped like crazy. The formula is streaky and I HATE the brush!! Horrible. I find it's also overpriced for what your getting. I will definetly not repurchase and will probably end up giving this colour away to a friend.

I bought this nail polish in Yellow Kitty. I just painted my niece's nails....and it took 4 coats to get coverage- and there are still streaks. I could have done a 5th coat, and thats just nuts! I couldnt believe how poor the quality is. This is even worse than Maybelline Express finish in my opinion. I did read over reviews, and I am shocked at how many postives there are. Maybe it was just the color I chose, that gave poor coverage. I did really like the brush. I will be returning this for a refund, for sure!

Wow, this is a great quality polish. I was really surprised. The colors on the display looked so pretty, I had to try them out. The brush is wide and flat with rounded edges, and it is my favorite nail brush I have used so far. The curvature is great for neat cuticles. The polish formula for all the colors I tried was fantastic; it went on very smooth and glossy. I did use a base coat and Seche Vite, even though it claims to be a base and top coat. One of my classmates said they were so shiny he couldn't look away lol!

Commander in Chic is definitely my favorite color. It is a warm brown with a hint of purple. Try it out if cool grays look wrong on you. Thinking of Blue is a beautiful navy, very shiny, but it dries a bit darker than the color in the bottle. Shrimply Devine was much more neon than I expected, but it looks like it will be a good summer color.

I have tested many polishes, and this one holds up to the best (OPI), but at half the price. The colors range is also amazing. Love love love these polishes.

Awful. Thick, streaky polish, and horrible brush. For the quality yes, it is expensive. Don't think this is worth more than $.99 a bottle. I regret purchasing 4 bottles without giving the formula/brush a test first.

I really wanted to like this product. I bought the color "gilty pleasure" but it was a no go. First of all, they've changed the shape of the polish brush so I thought it was difficult to use. Then this polish is supposed to be the complete package- base coat, polish and top coat. It did nothing for the ridges in my nails and didn't dry looking as if it had a top coat. It looked kind of messy instead of pretty polished nails. The polish was also very thick and difficult to spread with the brush. I'll stick with the three steps next time. Will not repurchase.

I tried this product in the "shrimply divine" which is a girly bright pink shade. It dried on my nails slightly brighter than I expected, but it's still a pretty color, especially for the warmer weather. I did use a base coat for extra protection in case of staining, but no top coat. It's been 5 days now, and I'm happy to say I barely have any noticeable chips. This product dried very fast and had a nice shine. I also liked the flattened wider brush and found it easier to apply. The price is a little more than most drugstore polishes, but I think the quality is better, so it's worth it. I have already purchased this in a couple other colors that I'm eager to test out.

I am loving this polish is it my favorite I love it more than opi, essie, china glaze etc... One of the nurses I work with recommended this line to me. I own two colors right now and intend to buy more.
Pro's
- Excellent Brush allows for great streak free coverage (I have not found a better brush yet) Just use a light hand during application
- Great Pigmentation bottle color in 1-2 coats ( this makes it good for nadding in my experience)
-Excellent staying power (this polish did an excellent job of staying on my nails despite the fact I am a nurse and constantly washing my hands)
- Good color range available.
- Available at most drugstores in my area (no special trips to a beatuy supply store for this one.)

Cons
- Price at $7 us a bottle this is a little expensive (I would try to wait for bogo's if you like this polish as sally hansen's products do go on sale)

Edit- 11/12/11 - I own may more polishes from this line and it is still my favorite. I tested it alone with no base coat or top coat and staying power of the mani was not bad just had minor tip wear.

These polishes are fantastic!!! I've never been a nail polish girl, mainly because I always had so much trouble applying them. But this one was so amazing that my nails end up looking fabulous! The main reason is the brush applicator--it's shape is very unique. It is shaped in such a way that it is VERY easy to use and apply nail polish as well as fix any mistakes. In addition, the nail polish comes on very thick and creamy, not opaque at all, which I LOVE! However, even though the product states the base coat and top coat etc. are included in the formula already, I still use top coat anyway. These last for about a week before the chipping gets really bad, which isn't bad. These nail polishes also come in very pretty colors (some are sparkly/frosty and others are matte) and dry shiny! I have these in Raisin the Bar (sparkly purpley plum color) and Mudslide (rosy brownish nude)--both are nice, but I absolutely LOVEEEE Mudslide (the swatch on their website is too dark for this color--it's lighter than that). I think I'll end up wearing this color pretty much all the time! Unfortunately, these nail polishes are pretty pricey, running at about $7 a pop, but I'm in love with their applicators and thick, creamy formula, (and their color Mudslide in particular) so I'd definitely repurchase.

This polish is AWESOME. It is a little pricey - I paid around $8 for it, but it's totally worth it. It has a great brush that is flat so it makes polishing your own nails SUPER easy. It made me wonder why all nail polishes didn't have brushes like this?!? I can't believe how much of a difference that flat brush makes. I absolutely love it. It also dries really fast, which was a nice bonus. I used the color called "Back To The Fuscia". It's really nice bright pink, but not too much of an "80's" pink. It's a good summery color. Normally I like to wear very natural or neutral colors but this was a nice change. I look forward to trying out some more colors in this line. Overall - an excellent nail polish, I definitely recommend it and I would absolutely buy again!!

For me, this is a stupid proof product. I'm horrible with nail polish. My manicures are a hot mess. With this product, a friend asked if I went to a manicurist. My nails look great and the product does not chip. Commander in Chic is a must have color!!

My new obsession!Sally Hansen is stepping up the game! These are more than HQ with fantastic colors!Colors I have are Navy Baby(the name is a bit misleading as it doesn't remind me of navy, more of a purplish blue, lighter than navy),and as a small amount of frost in it,Thinking of Blue, which is the most beautiful blue I have ever seen for a nail polish, and it's a cream formula which makes me like it that much more,Plum Luck,a cream "grown up" purple, and Gray by Gray, which is also a cream. It's a dusty gray with blue undertones to it.The formula dries pretty quick and goes on very nice. It's not to thick or to thin. The brush reminds me of the Insta-dri brushes, which I like alot now that I'm used to using them.I get more of a clean swipe with this brushes than I do with the standard skinny ones.It claims to have a base coat and top coat already in it,but you need to use those anyway, but the colors are so great who cares? The colors I want next are-
Commander in Chic
Purple Pulse
Pedal to the Metal
Plum's The Word
Fairy Teal
Right said Red
Red Zen
Pat on the Black
Black Platinum
Yeah I'm just a little obsessed with these!

Love this polish! I have it in three colors now. I saw them at a Walgreens and instantly loved the colors, but hesitated over the price a little, which was high for a drugstore brand. I have quite an OPI collection and Essie too, so I will spend money on a polish, but I was not sure why these would be so much compared to the rest of their line. But the colors kept calling to me, so I bought one to try and was amazed at the pigmentation and I adore the new brush! Instead of a flat bottom it is rounded so it more closely follows the natural curve of your nail bed. I only need one or two strokes to cover the whole nail and it is really easy to control and get right to the edges of the nail without the brush suddenly flaring out (you all know what I mean!) and getting all over the skin. It applies evenly, easily and beautifully! All three colors are outstanding and last for over a week on my manicure and still has not chipped on my toes and it has been 2 1/2 weeks so far! Still glossy, still beautiful!

Others have complained about the brush being too big for their nails, so if you have very small nails I could see this being a little more difficult to use, but otherwise, you should give these a try. They are as good or better than the OPI and Essie's that I have. HG polishes!

I got this nail polish in Purple Pulse. I was looking for a dark purple color and it's an absolute beautiful dark purple color. It kind of looks black from far away, but up close you can see the tint of purple. The nail polish is amazing. I topped it with a coat of clear nail polish to give it a more lasting and shiny effect. So far it hasn't barely chipped at all and I've had it on for a little over a week. I totally would recommend this nail polish.

This was an impulse purchase. I'm a sucker for wine-y reds for pedicures. I'm a cool, fair skinned person, and many reds look orange-y. Not this. I love the flat brush; it provides greater control over the polish. It applies evenly and without streaks and lasts well.

I painted a fingernail using the same routine I use for a pedicure so that you could see it -- http://img.makeupalley.com/9/3/0/8/1559440.JPG

Foundation II as a base; two coats of polish; Seche Vite top coat. I know this says it's a complete polish, but I'd not wear a dark red without a base coat, and I think any polish is improved with Seche Vite top coat. A pedicure lasts until I take it off.

I nearly never polish my fingernails but am lured to review the color selection of these polishes and take the dive. I was disappointed with China Glaze's staying power; otherwise, I use Opi and Essie polishes. Sally Hansen may have a convert.

I love dark polishes, and i like Lauren Conrad from the Hills tv show, so when i found out the polish she always wears was Sally Hansen Salon in Pat on the black i searched for it, but it was always sold out everywhere!

The color is a plummy black. It doesnt chip easy, lasted a week and a half before i had to touch up the tips. The only thing i do not like about this is that it stains your nails pretty bad and is difficult to get out of the corners of your nails. Also when you want to remove the color from your nails you have to soak a cotton ball or pad on them for a few min, this stuff truly has lasting power. I will still purchase though for the good quality.

I LOVE these polishes. I have 5 of them. I just keep grabbing more whenever I see them, lol. The love love love the brush, its very easy to cover my nails and get an even coat. The color is completely opaque in 2 coats and true to the bottle color. I use NailTek Formula II foundation as a base coat and Seche Vite as a top coat, and I get absolutely no chipping, but a little tipwear after a week. Yeah, a WEEK. No polish has ever lasted a week on me.

PS Anyone who is having trouble with the polish getting on your cuticles because of the brush size, all you have to do is wait until the end of your shower and the polish will scrape right off. You can be as messy as you want and still end up looking like you got a professional manicure. This is true with any polish.
