I wouldn't wear this as a foundation, because it doesn't give good coverage. However it is excellent for touchups during the day, and is perfect for controlling an oily complexion.

I like this product a lot! Even better than Lorac wet/dry powder foundation which I thought was great, but this far surpasses it (and for a lot less money). Great for my oily/sensitive skin, no breakouts, and a lot less oily. As with most CG foundations, the colors can be a little funky, but I stick with Natural Ivory for my light to medium skin tone, and it works just fine.

I generally hate liquid foundations - I hate the smell and feeling of smearing something cold and wet on my face in the mornings. So I opted for the Fresh Complexion Pocket Powder by Covergirl and found it to be the foundation for me. It's a powder so that's great. It was quite hard to find the right colour for my skin, but managed to find the right one. It's not a perfect match, but good enough. When you first put it on it makes your face look really powdery and slightly unnatural, but after about 15 min, this blends in more naturally into your skin. Sometimes when my skin is very dry, it does make it look a bit too flaky. But all in all, this is the best foundation that I've found because it's a powder!
I like how it covers and evens up my skin imperfections - better than some liquid foundations.

I can't believe I have not posted a review on this powder foundation!
I have tried many many MANY powder foundations, from high end brands to drugstore brands and I'm always really upset - there's always something wrong. I've been using Fresh Complexion since August 2002 and I'm always coming back to this one. It's not the perfect one, but it's not far away from perfection.
One of my biggest problem with most other powder foundations is the cakey/powdery look. But this one looks really natural. Not chalky at all. Most powder foundation are too orangey for my skin (including the most expensive ones like Dior and Chanel) but luckily Fresh Complexion doesn't make me look like a carrot. LOL
It doesn't keep the face shine-free all day, but longer than 90% of the other powder foundations I've tried. It easily keeps the skin matte a few hours. It stays quite well on the skin, but if the weather is hot & very humid or if I do some physical activities, it may fade a bit. It's a normal thing though!
It's true that the sponge gets easily dirty but I always buy a bunch of spare sponges. It doesn't cause any brakeouts nor irritates the skin. I'm really pleased with the results!
It has a good coverage but still is light enough not to feel it on the skin. It's not an heavy coverage though - I would say it's more light to medium (which I prefer).
My only complaint: the shades! I use Classic Ivory, the second lightest shade. It's close to my complexion but still a bit too dark, so I have to apply it carefully in order to avoid any demarcation. The lightest shade, Ivory, doesn't look good on me, too pink. And when I am self-tanned, Classic Ivory is a tad too light, but the one just after is too dark. But since I haven't found anything better, I'm staying with Cover Girl! (I think we have less shades here... I've never see the 615 anywhere in Montreal).
Great quality & cheap price! My HG foundation!

I have been using this product for a while and I think it a good product. It covers blemishes without you having to wear a ton of makeup.

I've used this for quite a while and like it better than the other Covergirl powders. Instead of using the sponge applicator, which I don't like because it makes the powder go on cakey and noticable, I used a large powder or blush brush. It's really nice to use underneath or on top of eye makeup to soften it. I think it's good for shiny noses, but you have to reapply it too often for my liking (that's why I only have 4 lippies) in order to keep my nose shine-free. Overall, it's good for the price and a good thing for teenagers on a budget. =]

pretty good powder, i have really oily acne prone skin and this helps control oil, however, if my skin is dry after using some acne medication, it really makes the dryness obvious. it also isnt very cakey, but pretty sheer. And it matches my skin tone pretty well. will continue to look for a better powder, but will use this in the mean time.

This is great! It's a perfect color and easily portable. The only problem is that sometimes you can see it easily if you put it on your nose, but it's easily fixable. It looked great with a blush like Cover Girl Cheekers in Cinnamon Toast. I will purchase again.

Love, love, LOVE this stuff. The shade matches my skin tone perfectly. It gives great coverage and doesn't look cakey, unless of course you do that yourself. It's great for touch-ups and I absolutely plan on re-purchasing!

This powder is a really good alternative when you can't afford a more expensive foundation. Here are the good things about this powder: 1) it does what it says- the look stays fresh and does a great job controlling oil. 2) It comes with a nice sponge applicatior, more closely related to some of the more expensive brands, and is much better than the old applicatiors CG used to supply. 3) Nice coverage- not too little, not too much. The only downside is the packaging is weird, it's shaped like a moon, making it annoying to put back. Other than that, a good product to use when you're short on cash but still want your skin to look good. Would buy again.

I LOVE this product! I am not usually a fan of cheaper makeup for the face because I have skin problems. I have in my makeup stash tons of MAC, Stila, Urban Decay, NARS...but I always make a run to Target for my CG powder/foundation! I have roseacea (appears as extreme redness on face) and this is the only powder foundation that not only covers it, but doesnt make my skin oily!! It's worth every penny!!!

I recieved this in a package with the LE bronzer. I didn't really want this product but since I couldn't find the bronzer anywhere but in this package I had to get it. Am I sure glad that I did!! I've always loved Cover Girl's foundations and this one is right up at the top. I have mine in creamy natural and it is a great match for my skin. It goes on evenly and covers up the redness and any shine that I had. Even did a fairly good job covering blemishes without concealor. It goes great over my mousturizers and I never once noticed any caking. This product is amazing and you can't bear it for the price!

When I saw the compact I fell in love with the sleek compact. It was bright and looked easy to carry around. So I bought it in classic ivory. It wasn't the sahde that was wrong it was just the whole product. It made my skin look dull and even when I put blush on my face just looked so boring. If a diifferent formula of makeup came in thi package I would definately buy it again. That's why I gave it a two.

This did help control oil for hours into the day, but it went on really thick and the shade I used was completely wrong for me. All the colors are too orangey on my skin tone.

I have used Cover Girl pressed poweder since i was in junior high. They are inexpensive and generally work pretty well. I thought this one sounded neat because it's oil free. Everything seems to be oil free these days, so it must be good, right? Wrong. i didn't feel like this powder did anything. I like the velvetly feel poweder gives your face, but i honestly did not notice any difference.. it didn't even help the shine.. I will stick with my trusty Cover Girl Clean Pressed Powder

I first bought this product because I just recovered from chicken pox a few months ago, hoping that I can get enough coverage without caking on layers of liquid foundation, concealer, and powder(I also have very oily skin.) Overall Im somewhat satisified with this product, but there are two flaws: The color and coverage. First the color was a little too dark and orange (I used soft honey for my tan asian skin, and buff beige was too light) and it didn't cover as much as I expected it to do. Its fine for just a powder to set foundation, but for that I can just use a cheaper one.
*UPDATE* moving this product down to 2 lippies. The powder broke about 3 times after I used it. At first it was just a little corner and I managed to "smush" it back together so I can carry it in my bag again. The second time it was about the same corner. Occationaly there will be a little chipped out powder here and there. But for the 3rd time it just completely shattered. And please note that I am considered gentle with my bags and luggages and I don't throw them everywhere.

Fresh Complexion Pocket Powder Oil Control Foundation. I ought to take a lippie off for it having such a ridiculously long name! :)
Okay...stupid name aside, this is a great foundation, much better than I expected. I'd never worn a "powder foundation" before, but I have worn regular facial powder without foundation. That didn't work at all, because there was no barrier between my oily skin and the powder, so it would just melt into my skin.
I'm not sure what the difference is with this product, but it does control oily breakouts while, at the same time, truly giving great coverage for blemishes and uneven skin tone. As I get older (I'm 34), I find that while my skin is definitely oily and acne-prone, I have some redness to my cheeks and large pores that I really want to hide while not looking like I'm wearing a lot of makeup. This does all that and more! This is not a light, airy type of powder, like you usually get in a compact...this is a very dense, yet finely-milled powder. You can control the coverage just by controlling the amount of product you pick up on the sponge.
I can wear this for a few hours without needing to blot or touch it up, and that is a long time for me. I wear this when I don't have a lot of time to fuss with makeup, and I think this is going to be a staple for me this summer because it doesn't gunk up on my face in the humidity like my liquids are starting to do. I like the slim compact, it fits easily in my pocket (duh) or purse...but the sponge is shaped kind of oddly and I can't find replacement sponges. I do take care to wash the sponge every week with acne soap.
The first shade I bought, 605 Ivory, was a good match as far as color, but it made my skin look rather flat and lifeless. I have found that 615 Natural Ivory gives me a little pink color while still being a good ivory match for my cool-toned PPP skin. (610 Classic Ivory is for warm-toned girls, it is more yellow.) And the price is good, at less than $6 at Wal-Mart. I'd think this would be good for students or perhaps as a teen's first foundation. If you have oily skin and want a quick, no-muss no-fuss face, you want this!

totally cute packaging! but once again, the lightest color is too dark for me. it controls oil vey well and does deliver pretty good coverage. i dint get "oringy" and it doesnt cake on me. i would use this durung the summer when my skin is darker.

I often use MAC Studio Fix in NC30 but for those days when my skin is behaving and I want a light coverage this stuff is perfect. It doesn't cake (which StudioFix can sometimes do) and seems to just perfect my skin. I use Classic Ivory (the colors run a little darker than their liquid foundation equivalents). Cute compact & hygienic too! (If you read the ingredients this is exactly the same as Simply Powder Foundation, although with Fresh Complexion you get slightly less product in exchange for better packaging.)
