This was the first new Herbal Essences line I tried because I have greasy hair and love the clean smelling shampoos. It made my hair so stripped and my scalp itch like mad. I finally pawned it off on my sister. The more conditioning lines such as Break's Over, however, I have found to be fabulous! Avoid the clear shampoos like DC and Body Envy and go for the creamier ones. It smells awesome though.

This shampoo gets my hair clean and has a nice scent. It is not a clarifying shampoo, but is one for people with oily hair. They do make a clarifying shampoo in the line. I like how soft my hair feels and clean at the same time. I am glad they make something that is a good everyday shampoo for people with oily hair. So many other shampoos are too moisturizing and do not really get my hair clean. I like the price of this shampoo it is as good as others that are much more expensive.

Update this shampoo started making my scalp itch. I am sensitive to shampoos. I am now trying another shampoo.

Drama Clean smells amazing its refreshing and fruity. It smells like oranges and flowers. I love it so much it gets my hair nice and clean which I have a hard time because I have fine hair, Its hard to find a shampoo that doesn't make my scalp greasy. Even the volumizing shampoos make my hair oily. This is not too heavy at all! I love this stuff.

This thing dried the heck out of my hair, not to mention my scalp! I mean I went to the hair salon when I had just started using this and was told my scalp was irritated and red. So not good. I mean I have oily hair (especially the roots) but this thing just stripped every last bit of oil from my entire head that no conditioner helped it soften it, not even a little. This is definitely not an everyday shampoo. Even if you were to use it, use just a tiny bit near your scalp for those with oily hair because if you use this thing on your whole head, your hair will start feeling like hay in a very short amount of time. Unless you want dry hair, I'd stay away from this.

I dont think this is a clarifying shampoo. I think the HE 'Degunkify' is the clarifying one. Drama Clean is just your normal everyday shampoo. This doesnt do much, it makes my hair feel a bit lighter, but the smell is absolutly AMAZING! The smell alone makes me want to purchase this again, and again.

This is a great clarifying shampoo that leaves my hair clean, refreshed, and shiny. It is too harsh to use more than once a week, but that is ok, because I do not want to overstrip my hair. This smells great too. I will definately repurchase.

This removes all the gunk out my hair. The reason I gave it a 3 is because my haird doesn't look too good afterwards, but I am not really expecting great hair after using a clarifying shampoo.

A nice pleasant smelling shampoo from a trusted drugstore brand. Cleanses gently and effectively. Is this supposed to be a clarifying shampoo? I thought it was just an everyday no-frills shampoo. Have been using it everyday on my somewhat-dry hair and it's been fine, though I did switch to a more moisturizing conditioner after trying the Drama Clean conditioner. I'd purchase this again.
UPDATE: I don't know if this dried my scalp out, or if it's the weather or my eczema or what but I'm taking a breather from this shampoo until I get rid of the flakes (or until winter's over, whatever!). Playin it by air, to be continued...

Just another ok shampoo. I am on the lookout for a good clarifying shampoo, and I saw this one in a magazine, so I decided to buy it. It's cheap too. Leaves my hair clean, smells good, but that's about it. I haven't noticed a change in the condition of my hair. Like with any other shampoo, my hair gets oily the next day. But at least it doesn't leave it oily the first day. If I don't find a better clarifying shampoo, I'll continue to buy this one.

Pretty good clarifying product. Leaves your hair feeling light and bouncy, but would only use about once a week which sounds about right. Scent is nice but a wee bit too strong.

This is a great shampoo for normal hair. Mine is on the fine side, however it also has a tendency to get dried out (I blow dry, but I don't color or chemically treat it), so I need to be careful about what I use on it. This shampoo I alternated with the hello hydration, which was a tad too moisturizing for every day for me, and I had good results. This shampoo smells great, lathers well, and rinses clean. Would buy again.
update 3/24/07- I bought another bottle of this & have been using it daily, with excellent results (I even skip the conditioner & my hair has been fine with it). This shampoo is marketed as a daily use shampoo, not clarifying, so if your hair is fine or oily you may do well with using this daily.

This was a pretty good clarifying product. I could tell because my hair is wavy, so when it's clean my waves are well-defined, whereas when there's still buildup and stuff my waves dry flat.

I've never used Herbal Essences before, I just remember the orgasmic commercials, and while I prefered the old packaging (even though I'm 17, shampoo that tries to be 'young and hip' looks like a turn-off. I don't care about the bright and different colors, I just care that it works well, the smell was amazing (berry tea & orange flower). I also only used a tiny bit of conditioner, but it was Aussie's 3-minute miracle Deeeeep.

Overall this was a great product for me. It really cleaned my hair like it claims to but doesn't strip it (it may feel a bit stripped in the shower, but it honestly does not air dry that way). It helps with flyaways and volume too, my hair isn't so frizzy and big.

Just remember that these products are all subjective. What works for me may not really work for you. But a small bottle of this shampoo was only $2.50 at Target so I figured, why not.

Left my hair feeling clean, but was a bit too drying on my highlighted ends (almost grown out, just ends left), and used with the conditioner made my hair stick together and dry, not silky at all. I've never had good luck with any HE shampoo/cond. yet I keep buying it. Won't buy this one again though.
