This is my third time wearing this nail polish color and it's just so cute! Even though it's almost black it doesn't give off the punkish feel but more of a sophisticated one. It takes me two coats to get even coverage and I always use a top coat. It's my cousins so I'm planning on buying one for my own soon. OPI never fails me.

This colour has great coverage after just 2 coats. Pump up the volume with a great shiny top coat or 2.....you will get super shiny nails with a depth of plum.
Its really super for summer or winter & at quick glance people think its black.
Love this colour & will keep purchasing as long as OPI makes it.

The color is sophisticated and classy but yet very noticeable. I think it flatters most skin tones. This nail polish is actually an extremely dark purple, it's less shocking and dull than an actual black polish. I think every woman needs to have this in her collection. Lasts for a solid week, maybe more if a quality topcoat is applied.
I love OPI and their pro-quality brushes.

Purple is my color. I look good in all purples. And I love wearing black nail polish. This is the best of both worlds. It is such a beautiful deep purple. The quality of the formula is wonderful, as is usually the case with OPI. I haven't met an OPI nail polish that I didn't like

This is my winter nail polish, I always loved dark polish but black is just too flat, too juvenile and too gothy whereas this makes your nails look as if you dipped your nails in blackberry juice. Perfect for short to meduim length nails, looks a bit scary on long nails but you can still make it work of you opt for ombre design. The only downer is that the colour loses the shine if you wear hand cream and don't refresh the top coat frequently but I generally don't judge the nail polish on longevity as my hands take a lot of abuse, from housework to typing. I love the shade, it's lovely and I got a lot of compliments on it.

This polish is amazing!!...just not for me (hence one lippie off). Don't get me wrong, the pigmentation is awesome, it does not chip and is long lasting, it dries in a decent amount of time, not streaky, easy to put on (like all OPI polishes because of the brush) and very "wearable" because it's black but not too black or too obviously purple. The thing is, I had NYC's polish in "Chinatown" and seriously, it looks exactly exactly like this one. I stopped wearing chinatown a few months ago after wearing it all the time because it chipped like crazy. I saw this and immediatly bought it and i don't know...it looks okay when I put it on but I guess after wearing chinatown so much I grew sick of this color. I wish I got this before chinatown because I would've loved it. It's a beautiful color but I feel like I've worn it too much and it's not really for my NC20 (summer) skintone..maybe in the winter when I'm pale? I prefer Russian Navy (which looks the same in the bottle, but when you put it on, it's really a navy, not a purple) over this as my dark go-to polish. Still nice color and if you've never had NYC chinatown, get this! Personally, I don't want this to go to waste so if anyone wants to swap for a different color in OPI, CONTACT ME PLEASE!! Thanks!
***UPDATE: I tried it out again and I've dropped my rating from a 4 to a 2. The reason is because when I tried this out on one hand with OPI russian navy and Chanel's vendetta on the other hand, this hand looked awful. It looked like a flat black with no interesting shimmer and looked very childish. It's because I put 2 coats on and it covered up the red undertone. One coat was okay but some parts weren't as even as others. So I'd rather just use another dark purply violet from OPI (or shell out the money for chanel) that has some shimmer to it so it's not too flat. Russian navy is way better than this and I'm sure there are a lot of dark purples out there way prettier than this so Lincoln park after dark is nothing special

I love this color when I'm looking for a black alternative. It's not quite as harsh while still giving me the desired results. My gripe is the consistency. My bottle was pretty gloppy and the application was usually streaky if I did less than 3 coats :/ maybe I just got a bad bottle. I'll still be repurchasing

I'm on my third bottle. LPAD is my go-to colour in Fall/Winter and well into spring/summer for pedicures. It wears fantastic and I love the richness of the eggplant. I don't care if it looks black. This is a colour equivalent to the little black dress; every woman should own it. Will repurchase over and over.

Love this color...I always grab this when I can't decide what to pick for my mani/pedis. My husband doesn't complain when I wear this... & he usually has something smart to say about my nailpolish colors lol. I love OPI polish in general...beautiful colors & the polish is great quality(IMO of course)

I like the color of this polish and the staying power is incredible too (it lasted 6 days on my nails!). Although I don't think I would have chosen it among all the OPI polishes (this was my first one) if I hadn't read all the rave reviews, I don't regret buying it at all. It looks cool and funky on short nails, but I would not recommend wearing it on long nails, since it can be too much. The brush is nice and wide, which makes it easy to apply. The color looks quite purple in the daylight and almost black in artificial yellow light.
The only downside of it for me is that I don't find myself reaching for it so often. I would probably not buy it again if I lost it.

Yes, it is expensive but it is so worth it. I love it on my toes as well as my fingers. It is not really black and not really plum, it is in a word, perfect. I love OPI and I am kind of an OPI snob now.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! This is my favorite nail polish!!! I'm so happy I checked MUA when ordering this online. I wanted a black shade and had my eye on 'Black Onyx' which had received some bad reviews about it being too sheer, something I really dislike. I really like polishes that only need one or two coats for a full, deep color. I was afraid this one was a bit purple. But no, after two coats this really is black. I would not say 100% black, but black enough, really sexy hot black that goes with everything. I disagree with people here stating that it's still obviously dark purple. Maybe I apply more stuff, but to me and my friends, it's really more black than purple. The quality is amazing!

This is one of my go-to colors when I get pedicures. I feel that it works both in the summer and winter so it's definitely versatile and looks great whether you have a tan or not. To me it looks almost black but then when the light hits it and catches the shimmer you notice it has a nice purple touch and doesn't look like tacky black Halloween np kids use. I don't think this is a a great color for manicures because it's very severe and may make nails looks small and short. Even though it's very dark it has amazing staying power and I've never had a chipping or peeling issue. I absolutely adore LPAF and LPAM they're both gorgeous and def. worth a try.

Lincoln Park After Dark is a very unique dark purple, it's very dark, but you can tell that it isn't black. I thought this would look too dark on me since I bought Sephora for OPI's nail polish in Dark Room( I think) and it appeared black when it was supposed to be dark green. It's a very chic color but I would use it for Fall/Winter and keep off Spring/Summer.

I love this color.
How can you not?
This color is very dark to the point it's almost black.
But you can still tell that it is purple.
Not too many people can actually look good with this color,
and that includes I myself.
My clients are actually very in love with this color to the point we have 4 bottles in storage just for this color.
I recommend this color to people who like dark gothic color,
or just in the mood to try it out.
The axxuim gel nail lacquer and the polish looks just the same!

SO hyped and such a poor product, sorry everyone. The only thing LPAD has going for it is the color. The dark, red-based, almost black purple is gorgeous and glamorous, or suitable for more alternative tastes. However, applying LPAD is hateful-it’s thick, goopy and streaky on me, cuticle drag is frustrating and I have a difficult time with even application. The dry time is ungodly long and the polish chips or peels within a day. I also hate OPI’s bottles because if you don’t store them upright, the polish leaks into the threads and then the brush becomes cemented to the bottle…so forget about traveling with them. NO, I will not repurchase (this is actually my second bottle of LPAD, I thought the first one may have just been a bad batch). For about $9, the quality just isn’t there so I’m looking for a comparable color in China Glaze-which is my current favorite np brand.

To be completely honest, I bought this polish because of all the great reviews it had. When I purchased it, it had not occurred to me that I never wear dark colors on my nails. It is a great product for people who like the darker shades, but it was too harsh on my NW20 skin. For all of the praise that it gets, I wouldn't say that this is the best shade of nail polish out there.

I LOVE this shade. OPI is a very good brand, and doesn't disappoint with this product. The color is so dark, but in a good way. It's a verryy deep plum color, and looks good with all skin tones. (in my opinion anyway) I play so many sports, so I need a polish that doesn't chip easily, and this works:) I will be re-purchasing.

This is the hardest np color to find and I LOVE THIS COLOR! I can not believe I did not do a review of this color until now. Personally, I feel that this color is appropriate for every day and black tie. It is a dark dark dark purple which apears purple. I wear it all year round. I put it on yesterday even though it is spring. It is an eye catcher and a compliment getter so be prepared. =)
