Affordable price, effective, kind and benefitial to you skin, this baby is the bomb. Each time I apply this scrub on my face, I can feel the beads working and collecting all those dirts and oil of my face, leaving it feel so refreshed and clean. I mean it, my skin have a much more of a clearer and cleaner canvas for my toners and moisturisers. I'm also aware of that some beauty buyer out there says that the bead in the scrub is a bit harsh on your skin. Yes, it might be, but trust me, you will thank it later. I would recommend it to anyone that need to tame those blemishes and blackhead. This product is absolutely worth it!!

Since I discovered this scrub about 5 years ago, I have not stopped using this. I have oily skin and in my teenage years I was very prone to pimple break outs and have many pimple scars. Nowadays, I do not have severe pimple problems anymore but once in a while I break out. I have tried a lot of over-the-counter soaps, scrubs and other treatments for my pimples but most of them only work at the start and later on do not prevent my pimple break outs. This scrub does wonders on my skin. I use this once a day and I never have break outs. When I see a pimple coming up I would just put a dab of the scrub on the area and the pimple goes away in a day or two. This scrub has also lightened my pimple scars. I also use this on my armpits, it lightens and feels smooth after using this scrub. This product is cheap compared to other brands and I would buy this again and again. My skin looks so much better because of this and I wish I knew of this when I was a teenager :)

I used to use this scrub all the time! I loved how it was so gritty and felt like it was removing all the dead skin. However, my sister was talking to her dermatologist and mentioned that she used it occassionally, and the dermatologist said to stop immediately! Apparently it's too gritty, and because the apricot seeds or whatever are natural and have a rough shape (opposed to other scrubs using microbeads), these seeds cause tons of small little cuts in your skin, too small for us to see, but these can easily be infected with dirt and cause zits. So I've stopped using it completely, and I'd suggest you think twice before trying it.

Amazing stuff. I bought this on a whim one day and boy am I glad I did. It's cheap, effective, and also smells good which is a definite bonus. I have sensitive skin and use this once a day without any dryness. I definitely recommend this if your skin is giving you issues, as I sort of doubted this would work after trying so many different things and now I wish I had tried it earlier.

I thought this might be too harsh for my face, but in fact I have been using this for about 2 weeks, everyday, sometimes twice a day, and my skin feels great! I haven't had any breakouts since trying it. Just be sure to moisturize afterwards!

This product is a life saver...i don't know why people complain about it being TOO rough and gritty...but without this scrub, my face would be filled with tons and tons of acne. Now all i have is scars, on my cheeks, chin, and a little bit on the side of my forehead. This scrub has a very rough texture to it, but it really does a gr8 job at cleaning. I use this at night only...don't ever use it twice a day because it's sandy. It's kinda like rubbing sand on your face, but then you'll get use to it ;D If you have sensitive skin, use it like 2-3 times a week at least. I have oily skin, so it does a perfect job at clearing the grease. But anyways, it's a gr8 scrub and all of the other scrubs i've used don't work as well...this one is probably the best :D Give it a try^^

i've been using this almost everyday for 10 years. it is as useful to my skin now as it was when i was an acne-ridden teenager. i know many people say it's gritty and uncomfortable, but you get used to it, and also don't be heavy-handed, and gently massage for at least 30 seconds. i don't think it's too rough for the skin at all when your face has been moistened and the top layer of skin becomes soft and therefore easier to be exfoliated with gentle scrubbing (keyword gentle). think of how the bottoms of feet are exfoliated: soak until dead skin gets soft, and get in there with a little rough pumicing, and they're nice and soft like you were just born.
i also make sure to use this on my armpits in the shower, especially if i wore deordorant and antiperspirant that day. i don't know all the chemistry behind it, but i do know antiperspirant stops your body from doing something natural (sweating), so i don't want any of its residue sitting there and possibly absorbing into my skin and bloodstream while i sleep. i think antiperspirant has been linked to breast cancer too.
bottom line: this scrub sloughs off my dead skin and therefore anything that might be sitting on top of it or trying to get in it.

I bought my first bottle of this scrub a year and a half ago and I still have a lot left, so you're really getting a bang for your buck. It is very inexpensive and totally worth it for a scrub. St. Ives is known for using natural ingredients in their products and I feel good using this scrub knowing that it is not harmful to my skin. Because it is a blemish and blackhead control scrub, it contains salicylic acid which helps get rid of any existing acne while scrubbing off all the dead skin cells. I have acne prone/oily skin and I did not break out when using this product. This scrub has helped cleared up my face as well as slough off extra dirt/ dead skin cells on my face, revealing a smooth, clean, and glowing canvas. This scrub is worth a try!

This is my HG scrub due to the salicylic acid it contains for the low price. It's not dirt cheap, but quite close to it. I use it on any place that has a zit or ingrown and it's very helpful. Unfortunately, it's a bit rough on the skin so don't rub it in, because it might cause scars, especially in one's facial area.

I love this scrub! It's my HG product...until I find something better (which is unlikely). I've been using this for 6 months and I love how it makes my skin feel after scrubbing my face with this (I scrub this on my face once a week). My face seriously feels baby smooth! I took off one lippy because it doesn't do much to my blackheads but my blackheads are really stubborn so I don't blame it. Also, they don't test on animals which is a major plus for me because I don't support animal testing!!! Other than that, I will definitely repurchase this. It's an amazing product for an amazing price.

I have been using St Ives apricot scrubs for almost 20 years and while it has gone through a few different formulations in that time it still works as fabulously on my now maturing skin as it did on my acne-prone teenage skin. I love how clean and fresh this makes my face feel. This lives in my shower for (back then) whenever I had a bad run of pimples or (now) whenever I feel like my face needs a good clean or if I've been wearing makeup for more than a few days running and just want to feel like I've deep cleaned it all out of my skin. I love the fact that its coarse as it really feels like its exfoliating without being harsh or overly scratchy. I have oily to combination skin and this leaves it squeaky clean without stripping the natural oils from my face.

I used to use this in my younger years when I didn't know any better.
I actually cringe at the memory.
It felt like it was cleaning my skin thoroughly, left it with a nice glow etc
It never really had any effect on my blemishes though.
Now I know better.
Pleaase do not use this on your face if you're thinking about it!! You may not be able to see the damage but go to a derm and they'll pick up on it for sure.
As everyone else has said, it will create tiny tears due to the jagged edges in this scrub., combine that with the salicylic acid this product contains it's just way too harsh.
There are much better drugstore scrubs out there, simple, neutrogena etc try to go for the ones containing small round beads as opposed to the super gritty walnut/apricot ones.

Amazing! That sums up this product! It's dirt cheap but easily the best scrub I've ever used. Product also has a great apricot smell so it doesn't feel like it's acne medicine. Love it! Would recommend to anyone with problem skin and even those who just want a great and great smelling facial scrub.

This is a good, cheap facial scrub. I used to use this scrub every morning and it kept my skin smooth and clear. The granules felt a bit rough at first but I got used to it. Although I have switch to chemical exfoliants, I still come back to this scrub when I feel I need to slough off some dead skin cells and get rid of a few rough patched on my cheeks.
UPDATE 6/6/2013: I no longer use this on my face, because I find it too harsh. I only use chemical exfoliants on my skin and stay away from facial scrubs. However, I have found it is great as a foot scrub, especially keeping feet soft during sandal season.
