I wonder if the Tsbu formulation has changed recently, because back in the '80s, it was like horrible rotting tuberose mixed with fertilizer and was only worn by the geriatric set. Maybe I'll give it a try... but only if it doesn't smell like the business end of a cow anymore.

This is a beautiful fragrance, a deep, sexy, mysterious oriental. It's in the "Bombshell Manual of Style" and they haven't steered me wrong. Of course not everything in there is for me- but nothing in there is cheap or tacky IMO. This is very sexy, a bit earthy, wild and free- I wear it in the fall and winter. The dusting powder is gorgeous too. It's spicy but not as strong as something like Youth Dew which I love in very small quantities only. Smells like a hint of leather is in there somewhere as well. Ooh la la!

This is one of the scents that is different from my others.
My hubby fell totally in love with it, and me too.
It is very sexual, I would not dare to use it too my work :-D
to dangerous ;-)
So now, this is my gorgeous weekend scent.

It is heavy, oriental, but not the sweet 'standard' oriental.
Special, dark and daring!

Hummm, I didn't know until I read through the other reviews that Tabu is a teenager's idea of sex! I laughed at first but then after further thought I can see where that idea came from. I am certainly no longer a teenager and I didn't wear Tabu when I was but it is very much a sexy fragrance and men really do respond to it. I find it to be a really warm, spicy, heavy, and sultry oriental fragrance and I can smell rose in it too which makes it everything I like in a perfume. And should I ever get a chance to go out with a teenage boy again (maybe in my next life) I'll certainly remember to wear Tabu.

I really enjoy wearing this perfume. People have described it best by calling it a teenager's idea of sex, but it's just a nice scent to wear in cooler weather. Sometimes I forget I'm wearing it and I turn my head a certain way, or a breeze kicks up and I smell it again. At first, it reminded me of sealing on the envelope- the part you lick, or the backs of stamps, but I began to pick out the notes after a few wears and got hooked.

This is a teenager's idea of sex and sophistication. It's very heavy, very sweet and musky, sex laid on with a spade.

But...there's something about it. For a start, it's unmistakeable, nothing smells quite like this. Also, it has an almost hypnotic effect on me, like incense in church. I'd use it during a massage, or to de-stress in bed.

Not a good choice for work, or in a restaurant.

This scent is spicy and sexy. I would only wear this for an evening occasion, never for work!

I remember this scent from junior high. My best friend always wore it and she didn't smell good. It smells dirty and cheap.

I personally am not that into this scent, however men go nuts over it. I can hardly wear it in the grocery store even when I barely put any on. I think it does appeal to men on a sexy level. I would never wear it on a ladies luncheon! ***Use a light touch. Any cologne will be offensive if used in excess. This is super concentrated so you only need a touch.***

Update: This is a man magnet perfume, I kid you not. Super cheap in drugstores. I am embarrassed to buy it, but wow do guys of all ages/types go nuts over this. It must have pheromones(spelling?) in it or something. The scent is different from years ago, try it, especially on Valentine's Day. This is NOT for going to the movies with your friends. I don't have to pump my own gas or carry groceries when I am wearing this. I've had normal men follow me around asking about this scent. I'm still not in love with the scent, but use it for a MAN MAGNET>

This cologne makes me sick and always has. When my hubby and I were first married (30+ years ago) we went to a New Year's Eve party and we sat next to a girl who had taken a bath in it (I knew it from my teen years when I wore it). I thought I was going to gag - I got so sick. My husband absolutely hates it and we've remembered that scent ever since and still joke about it when we want to compare a perfume to the most hideous scent we can think of. I honestly didn't know they even still make it until I happened on it recently at Eckerds. I have not smelled it on anyone in years and years, and I would recognize it right away.
