This is such a unique coral color. I have to admit I was hesitant at first about Vegas Volt looking too orange and bright on my already pigmented lips (NC35/Buttered Tan skin)...but if you put a light coat of Cosmo l/s first, then Vegas Volt..the color is WOW. It tones it down a bit, w/o looking to bright and orangey...I love it...especially with summer coming up...I can imagine wearing it w/ expensive pink and steamy e/s...Don't be afraid of this color! I love it...b/c it's different...and an amplified creme, which is icing on the cake. ;)

My second MAC lipstick (first was Lickable!) and I am really impressed with this. It comes up very bright on me, but also looks amazing blotted down to look less in-your-face. I paired it with ELF Mineral lip liner in peachy, which seems a perfect match. It is more pink than coral on me. I did find after an hour it needed to be fully wiped off and re-applied as my lips started to look dry, they aren't dry at all so I'm not sure why it went weird. I do really love the colour though.

I enjoy this for spring (and will probably enjoy it during the summer). Before writing this review, know that I don't wear bright lipstick often but prefer nudey or "my lips but better" colors. HOWEVER, this color is amazing, wocs go get it!
I do feel it can be too bright on my skin sometimes, so I wear a darker lipliner underneath (NYX Coffee) and then either pat this lipstick on top or use a lip brush to mesh the lipliner color and this together. I love how it brightens my face immediately and how it makes me look in pictures! If i'm feeling brave, I'll skip the liner and just lightly pat this on. It lasts for a couple of hours w/o liner (longer w/ liner), but even when it fades, it leaves a pretty coraly shade to your lips, making them look super healthy.
NC 35-40 for reference

I was looking for a nice, vibrant coral for the warmer months (if they ever arrive!). I am pretty fair (NC20) so I don't think I could ever imagine wearing this without blotting it down quite a bit, because on me it shows up as a shocking pale orange/apricot when applied straight from the tube. However, applied with the fingers lightly or blotted down substantially, this comes out as a lovely pale coral and can be made much more subtle. Maybe I'll try to post pictures of it straight from the tube vs. blotted. All in all though, the formula feels nice and it is such a pretty spring or summer color. Can't wait to wear it when my freckles have come out a bit form the sun.

I am a NC 25 and have full lips so the colour looks really great on me. It looks more orange coral than a pink one on me, and it feels very soft and nice on the lips. However, I do experience uneven colour coverage with it, it doesn't make my lips look like one full opaque smooth colour, looks rather like paint and every time i squeeze my lips together i end up having more colour on some parts of my lips than on others. Another thing I find a bit not so pleasing is the fact that it wears off rather quickly..but, I am a matte and opaque lipstick lover so maybe my expectations are wrong...all in all, I would buy again because the colour is really great

It took me sooo long to pick this up. Side by side, it looks very similar to Toxic Tale from the Venomous Villians Collection (LE). Vegas Volt is more of an orangy coral while Toxic Tale is more of a pink coral. For WOC, I really like this color. Since it's an amplified, it's very true to color. Just remeber to exfoliate and moisturize those lips first because this will show every crust and crack!
I paired Vegas Volt with MAC Bronze eyeshadow, MAC Ripe Peach blush (LE), NYX Chestnut lip liner, and MAC Wildly Refined lipglass (LE). Great for spring and summer.

I can't believe it's taken me so long to write this review! I purchased this in November of 2009 in anticipation for my New Year's Eve trip to Vegas. I had had my eye on it for a long time, so I decided why not? I'm NC20-25ish with brunette hair & light golden undertones. On me, this looks very coral-orange. It's not too much of either, but instead a lovely balance of the two. I love to do this with an otherwise understated face, as on my full, large lips it draws quite a lot of attention. I get 5-6 hours of wear out of this, and even if/when it fades, the stain it leaves behind is a lovely, muted version of the tube color, which looks fresh and summery and "Oh this? My lips are naturally this healthy and beautiful." It's definitely one of my Top 5 in my lipstick stash. It is not drying in the least, either. Even in the winter it makes me feel so summery and fun!

Just got this and I am obsessed!! Its a beautiful color that I think will compliment any skin tone. Perfect for spring/summer months. I also like that I can wear everyday. Its like a coral/peachy color. You can also use a red liner and make it look totally different. I usually wear nudes/pinks and this was a nice change.

Vegas Volt is kind of orange coral shade.
I figured out when itís worth buying expansive brands: when they have unique color that pharmacy brands doesn't keep.
I havenít seen dupe for this one. It is very unique, pretty and noticeable shade. for less noticeable look, u can apply soft layer or mix it with nude shade (L'oreals). Worth buying if u like the shade.
i give it 5 couse the shade is really special, even thought it's expensive
