PROS: Has spf. .

CONS: Broke out my teen's face worse than it was.

ALTERNATES: My teen's quite acne-prone skin has to use Peter Thomas Roth Oily Problem Skin Mineral Sunscreen. I love Devita's spf30.. It doesn't have a true spf30 protection, but it doesn't leave me greasy and does not irritate my sensitive skin.

i really wanted to like this product. spf is always a plus, but most are too thick or smell terrible.
the pros:
-this is pretty thin and easy to apply
-smell is minimal
-it gives my skin the necessary moisture and leaves my skin noticeably smoother and softer

the cons:
-it makes my eyes and under my nose area STING. REALLY BADLY!!
-its pretty greasy
-it takes a while to absorb

all in all, the cons outweigh the pros for me. i dont usually have sensitive face/eyes but this makes my eyes n under my nose BURN. i might try out the other moisturizers from this line without the spf to see if it makes a difference

toodaloo!

As previously mentioned by the numerous reviews on this product, I have to say that this moisturizer most certainly comes with it's advantages and disadvantages. It is greasy and for me personally, it does not set in and infuse right away, it remains as a greasy, top layer for a while. That's why I usually use it first thing when I wake up while I eat breakfast, watch the news, etc. and right before I go to bed. That being said, it when I wake up, my face is considerably smoother and provides my skin with the necessary moisture it needs and the SPF is a good plus.

I have dry/combo skin (I never LOOK oily, but I can feel the greasy build up on my forehead and chin and a little on my cheeks throughout the day). But this stuff still made my face so greasy! It says it's oil free. I bought it to replace the Clean and Clear Brighten moisturizer I'd previously been using because I don't care for the feel of the bumpy "brighteners" when I put it on but I think I'm still going back to that. It never made my skin shiny and icky feeling like this.

And even though it says it's not pore-clogging, I got a pretty nasty blackhead on my nose and cheek after using this for 2 days. And I don't usually have to bad a problem with that. This crap's going back to Walgreens.

The only positive thing I can say is that I like the bottle. The close/open lock on the pump is very nice - but the $4 Clean and Clear has the same thing. I think I'll just shop around the C&C line some more until I get the right one for me.

I thought this product did it's job. It would keep my face moist without making it oily. It didn't make me break out. It made me look a little oily, but enough to where I could overlook it. The price isn't that bad, either. About $10 for a bottle. I love that the pump locks and stays locked when you turn it a certain direction. The lock eased my mind when it came to spills and such. Would I purchase the product again? Perhaps. I can't give a definite "Yes! It worked and I loved it!" or "No! It didn't work and I hated it!" It did it's job. Could it have done it better? Yes. But was it a bad moisturizer? No.

So greasy! I know it says Oil-free, but really all this moisturizer did was make me look like a total greaseball. It never seemed to absorb into my skin, and made my skin feel like it was suffocating. About the only good thing I have to say is that it did not break me out.

Neutrogena (and other drugstore brands, for that matter) make other moisturizers much better than this one, save yourself some time and check those out instead.

I hated this product. Felt like I was slathering a greasy body sunscreen on my face, and it even kind of burned. Not good for a supposedly gentle oil free moisturizer. It didn't sink in very well either, so i didn't feel moisturized at all. Just greasy. Sometimes I use it on my body for a low-SPF sunscreen, and that seems to be fine. Otherwise, it was a complete waste of money. The only redeeming factor is the pump style. Never buying again.

I have acne skin problem for very long time. After having used all sorts of the expensive skin care products, I decided to try this moisturizer with oil-free formula. For the past 3 weeks, it does not give me any greasy or heavy sticky feeling at all, no breakout so far. I'd say it is an excellent oil-free cream with attractive price plus SPF. It really works for my combination acne skin.

I got this product based on the reviews, and it's not bad or anything, but it leaves my face really shiny. I don't mind the smell, the heavy feel isn't really great but I can live with that. What bothers me the most is that I sometimes get little red bumps after I put this on, and the shine I get from it only seems to make them look worse! Plus it's been making my very sensitive chest break-out.

I personally find this product too thick for daily use. It leaves my skin looking greasy and it feels tacky. It's not so bad if I apply foundation and powder over top, but there's no way I could wear this on its own.
It smells strongly of sunscreen and it feels heavy like one too. Yet it only contains an SPF 15. The price is alright. I got a bonus pack with this moisturizer and a cleanser for about 11$. The packaging is nice and sturdy, I'm not worried about spills/leaks. I'll finish the bottle but I will not be repurchasing.

I have combination sensitive skin and wear sunscreen daily as I live in Australia. I find a lot of sunscreens irritate or break me out so I was suprised at how well this one worked. It's a relatively light cream with no fragrance or alcohol. There is a light sheen to the skin after application, but nothing that worries me. It moisturises my skin without being too greasy and after a month of using it daily I've had no problems with pimples. I also really like the pump bottle too.

i've recently forced myself to begin the search for a daytime moisturizer with SPF because at 27, i am way too old to not be protecting my skin (especially when i spend what feels like billions of dollars and decades of time in my quest to find the perfect products and routines to keep my skin young and clear looking!). my first try was Olay Total Effects Fragrance-free SPF 15 and that left my face looking shiny, feeling tacky and gave me clogged pores and a few breakouts. this Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer is my second try and so far it's working out considerably better than the Total Effects. the first day i applied this i was amazed at how light and clean it felt compared to the Olay moisturizer, and it seemed to sink it much, much more quickly and easily (although i do use a small amount; it seems that with these SPF moisturizers less is more). it provides a moderate amount of moisture to the skin (super dry skin may need more, super oily skin may need less) but does leave a sheen behind, although it's easily taken care of with a little bit of translucent powder. my liquid foundation applies nicely over top of it and so does my concealer, as i've been using the moisturizer as my daytime eye cream as well. i'm not sure if SPF 15 is enough sun protection to really keep the harmful rays from doing damage to my skin but i'm hoping since i don't spend a lot of time in the direct sun that it'll be sufficient. i'll have to update later and report whether or not my usual summer forehead freckles are still making their annual appearance. as for how my skin is reacting to this product, so far it seems to be doing ok. i did get 2 small blemishes on either side of the bridge of my nose my first few days of use but they went away quickly and no others have cropped up since. i have noticed a few tiny (and i mean TINY) bumps on the side of my face that may be from this product but i'm going to give my skin a decent amount of adjustment time to see if this is just a coincidence. the packaging is perfect, opaque bottle to protect contents and lockable pump for easy dispensing. the one thing i wish that i could find is a daytime moisturizer with SPF *and* salicylic acid because that would solve all my problems! if anyone knows of such a product, please pm me!
*UPDATE* 5/11/10 just updating to say that the small bumps i was experiencing on the side of my face were not from this product but from another moisturizer i was using at night. since i've stopped using the night product, the bumps have disappeared, and no more blemishes have appeared. i also purchased Laura Mercier's Translucent Loose Powder and that has completely taken care of my problem with the dewiness this moisturizer left behind because of it's SPF. will continue using unless i fall in love with something else, and would definitely recommend for people with testy skin to try.

I've been looking for a moisturiser with spf for a long time and I thought I'd try this since I've been using and liking the combination skin one.

Personally, I don't have complains about the very mild sunscreen-y smell, although that effectively makes it not as fragrance-free as its supposed to be. But it fades very quickly and doesn't linger so that's fine.

All in all it feels nice and looks nice. I like it!

Bought this at a local Wal-mart because it was cheap, I needed SPF, and a moisturizer. Since this product met all three of my needs I decided to give it a try. I've finished the bottle already and well, it wasn't all that great. It was very greasy and it stung a little. I waited awhile just so it could sink in but my face was still oily-looking. The smell wasn't that bad...it's tolerable. I really like how it came in a bottle with a pump..very hygienic. After awhile I mainly used this moisturizer to remove eyeliner smears near the eye area. Won't buy again but I'm down to give Neutrogena's other moisturizers with SPF a shot.

I bought this because I wanted an oil-free SPF moisturizer to wear under my makeup.

It kind of stings, and doesn't seem to moisturize and all. I've used it a lot because I didn't have an alternative at the time. I've switched to Biore's SkinPreservation with SPF 30, and loving it so far.

I wear this under my mineral foundation. At first I thought, "oh no, I look so greasy!" but after waiting 5-10 minutes for it to sink in (I usually don't wait that long though) it's a great moisturizer. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now (during the day) and I love it. I'm wearing it alone right now (with a setting powder) and my face feels so nice and smooth! Looks good too! I will buy again. (:

This is a fairly good moisturizer, but there are some definite cons so I wouldn't buy this again. It is greasy and feels like a sunscreen that you would use on your body. This smells and feels very much like a sunscreen which makes it heavy for a face moisturizer. I also find that it has a 'greasy stickiness' to it that makes it difficult to use under makeup.

Good daily moisturiser under make-up. Does make me a little oily but for me an SPF is a must so it is to be expected.
Combined with my Revlon Colorstay which has an SPF6 I have never been sunburnt from daily activites (walking to uni, hanging out in the sun etc) and I live in New Zealand - we have one of the worst skin cancer rates as the hole in the ozone layer is pretty much over New Zealand (thanks to the rest of the world =P) so I'd say it does a good job.

Absorbs quickly and doesn't break me out as some richer moisturisers with SPF do.

I love the fact it comes in a pump bottle so there is no wastage.

I will be repurchasing!
