I'm giving it a 4 because it actually works very well on the top lash line and I can wear it all day at work and have it last and not run. I bought the black and the purple. I absolutely love the purple it works well on my top and bottom lash line and if I set it with shadow it'll last. The black however i just can't wear it on the waterline I put it on and it literally lasts maybe 20 min tops, I reapply it and it wants to last next thing I know I look in the mirror and it's gooping on the sides and looks disgusting. I wouldn't recommend this for the waterline like they advertise but I'd definitely use it for the top and bottom lash lines. it glides on so smoothly, there's no tugging at all and the pigmentation is insane, I personally feel it's darker then UD 24/7 liner in zero. If you're looking for a cheaper version of UD 24/7 liner I would grab this one and give it a shot it's about $7-8 at target so it'll save you about 10 bucks just don't use it on the waterline.

I came across this while looking for a cheaper alternative to UD 24/7, and I have to say I'm loving it. The pigmentation is amazing, it glides on super smooth, and it stays all day without smudging. Definitely not spending the extra money on UD anymore, because these liners are AWESOME!

For a drugstore eyeliner, this is amazing. I hate using pencils because they are harsh; and pots dry up, are expensive, and require a brush; and most creams smudge and don't last. But Master Drama is the exception. The pigments are rich and beautiful, the price is right, and it STAYS on. I can make mistakes and take it off with a Q-tip, but it lasts throughout the night. After a long night of dancing, sleeping with an eyemask, I woke up and it was still on. It's perfect for making cat eyes because it is sleek and tiny and rich. Definitely a must buy. The purple is BEAUTIFUL.

Only con's: the rolling up part is weird. When you first get it, it takes a while to roll up and you can't un-roll it if you roll it up too far. And you sometimes have to layer it to get the perfect amount of color, but I don't expect it to be perfect or anything ;)

I love this eyeliner for the top lid. It stays on and is very pigmented and easy to apply and it does not run. However, the one I bought would NOT twist up. What a waste of money. Next time I will buy it and keep the packaging so I can return it.

I loved this eyeliner both in the brown and jet black, however, I am and contact wearer, and this put the WORST film on my contacts. I couldn't get it off, and ruined probably 3 pairs within a day. I loved how it stayed on, but I just cannot wear it with my contacts in. If you don't wear contacts I would recommend this eyeliner.

A rich and intense black. This eyeliner is wonderful for applying on the top lid. It glides on smoothly without tugging on the delicate eye skin. Unfortunately the liner stuck out about 1/4 of an inch and wouldn't budge no matter how many times I twisted the bottom....Fix the Damn packaging, Maybelline!!!! I ended up removing it from it's original packaging and placing it into a generic brand eyeliner. Also, it doesn't stay on my waterline. Within 3 hours it moved under my waterline giving me a no sleep-raccoon-eyes look. I will continue to use this on my top lid only.

I've been looking for an eyeliner that doesn't smudge/run when I put it on my waterline, and this is NOT it. It goes on smoothly, is well pigmented (the black one, anyway, haven't and won't try the other colors), but it only lasts for maybe an hour on my waterline. I also had a problem with the packaging: it'll twist up, but I have to push it back down. :-( The search for the HG eyeliner continues...

Easy to apply and the only eyeliner that does not get rubbed off on eyelash curler.

I thought I got a defective liner because it wouldn't twist up! But I've found lots of other people having the same problem.
Shame on you maybelline! This might be a good product, but I'll never freakin' know.

I really like this eyeliner. My eyes water constantly due to a medical condition and for the money this is one of the best eyeliners I have tried. I wish it came in more colors. I have the blue but prefer a navy instead of a royal blue. I've heard complaints about the brown so haven't tried that one yet. I have the gray, blue and black. Like them all. Good value from Maybelline--a brand I have been buying for 30+ years. (Yikes!)

I have this in Vibrant Violet and plan to get it in Sapphire and Midnight. I'm a big Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner fan, but I go through the pencils quickly and the cost is expensive. UD also has a weird habit of fading out halfway through the day, even on top of their primer potion. Not so with the Maybelline version. I get good color (takes a couple of passes to get a solid color) that lasts all day, no fadeout after 12 hours, and I only had a very tiny amount of smudging. And that's with NO primer. I think the smudging happened when I placed it on my bottom waterline. This liner will NOT stay put on the waterline, and won't even give you good color there. Overall, a very good deal for the money and a great UD substitute, but I'm not fond of the packaging. You have to turn-click forever to get more product out, and there's no sharpener.

UPDATE:
Okay so since I had to use this liner up, I decided to lightly brush on my black mineral powder liner on TOP of this one and it actually did not smudge! So for those of you who thought you wasted your mula oh this very "Stopable" eyeliner, use this advice and you can at least use it up before buying something else. I definitely will NOT be repurchasing.

This is by far the worst "non-smudging" eye liner I've ever used. I agree with most of the negs on most of the reviews...IT SMUDGES and RUNS all day long. I use it for my waterline and it's pretty much a guarantee that it'll smudge and run. I'm so confused as to why they came out with this line. I used to use Maybeline's liquid eye liner in black that had a tapered, felt pen which was my all-time fav but I can't find it anywhere! Only the stupid flimsy brush version. I'm so mad that they replaced that one (only around $5) to a more expensive, crappy version. UUUURRRGGG!!!!

Goes on very smooth. No dragging. Nice, creamy texture. I purchased Made of Steel thinking it would be a light gray color like the cap appeared in the store. I ended up with a very silver colored eyeliner. It's pretty but not practical for daily use.

This is probably the best eyeliner I have tried so far. It doesn't smudge at all for me and it lasts very long. It's very smooth and creamy. I don't have much trouble with putting it on. I got it in Bold Brown and I really adore it.

It's love! For once pencil eyeliner STAYS ON my monolid eyes! Been using this for at least 1 month or more. I found it stayed on mostly & didn't migrate to badly, which is the worst crime any eye make up can do in my books.

Its pigmentation isn't too bad, not needing to go over multiple times to get it very black.

I will continue to buy :)

I bought this in the Violet, the first application it kinda came out more black then Violet. After the second it was better, thought it would have been a lot brighter. Overall the application goes on extremely smooth & it stays! & comes off pretty easily w make-up remover.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this liner. It glides on like silk and stays on. I only use on top lid. I got midnight master and it is a black shade and beautiful. Will definitely buy this again. It did take a while to twist pencil out but only at first. I use a fine tip make up Q-tip to smooth line even moreso. I have never been able to put liner on my upper lid easily and this product is literally a miracle. I got a thin line close to my lashes and that is a first.

Applies smoothly with ZERO drag, lasts about 6 hours on top lashline before smearing beneath my eyes and waterline about an two hours before disappearing. Pretty standard wear for my oily eyelids. What's great though is the ease of application; such a smooth creamy formula that feels more like a kohl but sticks like a longer wear formula. Bought in the Coal Commander, Midnight Master, and Bold Brown. Great to throw into the purse to touch up at night and at this price, don't need to worry about losing it!
