I kick myself every day for this product. When I bought this I was so happy, I rushed home to try it. I got in the shower and applied it, waited 20 minutes, and washed it out. While I was rinsing my hair all I could think was "WOW my hair is so soft!". That feeling lasted maybe 3 more minutes. I dried my hair and felt no difference. I figured I did something wrong, there was no way this 30 dollar hair masque didn't affect my hair! I tried it the next week, left it on for 45 minutes and felt nothing, I was better of using a 4 dollar conditioner. This is still half full and taking up space in my bathroom and I will probably give it to one of my friend.

i love this mask!my hair is brittle, dry and coarse. i tried Macadamia deep repair masque without reading the direction- it only made my hair shiny. then i was wondering why most of the reviews have more effect..direction says "comb through clean, wet hair. Allow up to 7 minutes of penetration before rinsing through".--followed these steps and voilà!!!--- my hair is amazingly soft smooth and shiny.... =))

I have pretty oily scalp but slightly damage ends. And I only apply this mask once a week and only to the bottom hair of my hair.
So far I really like this mask, it's really moisturizing and doesn't weigh my hair down.
Pro:
Leaves my hair really smooth which is quite lasting.
Smells really good
Moisturizing
Con:
Price tag=(
Packaging can be hard to handle in the shower

I got the small sample at Ulta for about $4. I was really excited to try this product based on all the good reviews.
I have very thick, dry damaged hair from coloring it so much.
The shampoo I use is pretty good at keeping it soft and manageable but I just thought I needed a little something extra to make my hair really nice and shiny. The first time I tried it I fell in love with the smell. But other than that I did not notice a huge difference in my hair. Yes it was soft and shiny but not like I expected, considering the price of the full size jar.
But I am glad I only got the sample otherwise I probably would have returned it. Btw, the sample is enough for about 3 uses. Maybe I'll try the oil and see if thats any better since that is a little more affordable.

Its SHOCKING how massively OVER-HYPED this product is. FYI: The percentage of fragrance (parfum) most products contain is usually LESS than 1%, so ingredients listed AFTER it are present in amounts even less than that i.e. are almost negligible. Paula Begoun similarly advises this in her book-"Don't Go Shopping for Hair Care Products Without Me." With that said, Macadamia oil is listed 6th after Fragrance (14th ingredient from top)!!! The Castor seed oil & Dimethicone are earlier on the list & are probably what give the overall silky, soft, shiny, smooth finish that we all love---including myself.
Are these cheap fillers really repairing hair? IDK. But I do know its not worth the $30 for 8.5 oz jar (less than avg shampoo bottle) regardless of how little/less frequently you use it. If are interested in the NATURAL benefits I suggest picking up 100% Macadamia OR Argan oils at Whole Foods ($15 for 1 oz droppers) that have no other additives & thus few drops; if used daily even will give longer lasting maximum results. Now that's what I consider real value for your money.

This stuff was terrible on my hair, and trust me i have tried tons of hair masks from drugstore to very high end so i think i am a pretty good judge. This stuff left my hair with such a waxy film and was not moisturizing at all, it just coated it. After blowdrying my naturally staight fine hair it felt like a damn broom. I assure you there are way better masks out there that are even cheaper. (Goldwell 60 second treatment is great for fine hair and does not coat at all, l'oreal professional absolut repair is a nice heavier one for thicker, really dry hair.)
I have to say though that the macadamia healing oil is really nice.

I am a little bummed about this product. I normally have very thick, shiny hair. I color it every couple of months and get shines without any noticeable damage. I also have naturally curly hair but I can blow dry it straight and use my straight iron and it looks like normal straight hair. I made the mistake of getting my hair lightened one shade (still brunette) and the moment the stylist dried my hair, flyaway’s like crazy, also my hair has been breaking like crazy as well.
After reading the reviews on here, I thought this would fix my problem, it did not. I pat dried my hair, coated it in the product, left it in for 10 minutes, rinsed it with cool water, and the fly away were still there. It definitely made my hair a little shinier, and my hair felt softer, and smelt good for a day but that was it. I am giving it a 3 because of the softens but it did not help with my flyaway’s.

I got a sample of this from JC Penney - 30ml for $4. As my hair is very thin and color treated, I wanted something moisturizing and repairing.
This mask smells absolutely amazing and does the job! My hair felt so smooth and silky, it was a joy to use this mask. And so easy to brush them afterwards, love it. Even next day my hair feels so silky, like never before. Cant stop touching my hair, love it!
I just shopped around and noticed how expensive this mask is - $30 is Ulta and JC Penney for 8.5 oz. So I ordered it from amazon - half price, only $16, free shipping, yeey, Im so happy. Definately THE BEST mask I have ever tried.

This product gave me hope in my hair again. I always had healthy thick shiny hair until I decided to get highlights this summer. What a mistake it completely ruined my hair's health. I had flyaways and was splitting like crazy. I bought this mask last week and used twice for 7 min each and my hair is already super soft and shiny. No more flyaways and my ends are all smooth. I love it and it made a major difference for me.

My hair is VERY damaged after many years of relaxer treatments and hair coloring, I have fine, very curly and dry hair, and this is honestly THE BEST thing that has ever happened to my hair. My hair is now amazingly soft, shiny, and full of life, it has never, ever looked this good, and ladies I have tried many, many products and nothing can compare to this! The price is kind of steep but it is worth every single penny, hands down, I will keep repurchasing this product over and over again!, I have spent probably thousands of dollars trying to save my hair and this product has done what many cant! TRY IT! You will not be disappointed, I assure you!

I have been eyeing this product for a good 3 months but have had trouble justifying making such an expensive purchase on a product that I am only meant to use once a week or every other week. Well I went on amazon and found this masque for $15 (a 50% discount from my local Target price), and I went ahead and got the oil for $23 (compared to the $35)...somewhat counterproductive since I wanted to avoid spending $30+ overall but whatever. I literally counted down the days until this duo came in the mail and I must say I have never been so overwhelmingly satisfied with a product in my life. My hair feels like silk, my ends look virtually damage-free, and the intoxicatingly AMAZING smell lingers for days. A random girl in my LSAT class told me that my hair looked like a Pantene commercial and my boyfriend cant stop finding excuses to sniff my hair...
Also, I am kind of OCD about my hair and after bleaching it for the first time this past spring, I have been convinced that all my hair was falling out of my head. I've changed products an uncountable amount of times to try to salvage it...everything from $2 drug store shampoos to products like Aveda. With the Macadamia masque + oil combo, I have noticed minimal shedding (obviously nothing will completely eliminate this) and no brittleness/breakage.
Finally, the one thing I will say that may be a negative for some is that while the smell of the masque is delicious, it is distinctly different from the scent of the oil. Doesn't bother me but just be forewarned...

After all the wonderful reviews on this product i decided i wanted to give it a try but i wasn't ready to spend too much money on it so i bought the small packets to try it out. First i washed my hair with an all natural shampoo and as soon as i applied this treatment mask my hair was like silk. It was so easy to comb through (which can be a challenge at time since i have mixed hair and can be very curly and tangled) and not one strand of hair came out. I then put on a plastic shower cap and left it for an hour. Once I rinsed it out it was still soft. I went on to my normal routine (heat protecting spray, blow dry then flat iron). Once i flat ironed my hair i applied one drop of the healing oil from this product line and my hair was gorgeous! So shiny (which is rare for me since i have really dry hair) so bouncy and soft. I couldn't believe it...and the smell of the oil is soooo amazing (and it lingers for a couple of days). My boyfriend even noticed and said my hair smelled great. I truly recommend this and this is coming from someone who have used everything from Wen to CHI to Keratin treatments to just plain coconut oil. Nothing and i mean NOTHING have left my hair so beautiful and manageable.
------------
Update: I'm currently using the whole product line and my hair is so healthy I cant even believe it ( I feel as if it has healed my hair). It super soft and super shiny (which i still cant believe because my hair was like hay) Pricey but sooo worth it!

This is amazing! I'm Asian, and I tried dying my hair a medium brown and then permed it shortly after. Needless to say the hair got damaged like crazy! It was burnt and breaking left and right. I've been using this for about 4 months now and now my hair feels like it's finally back to normal. It's expensive but it's worth it if you have extremely damaged hair.

This is a life changing product for me! I am awaiting the arrival of my third pot of this in the mail. I stopped using this because I felt that my hair was getting used to it and it was becoming less effective and I wanted to try other products, but if I look at my hair now compared to how it was when I was using this product weekly, it is probably not even half as nice as it was! The other reviews are right in saying that this product seems to work better on hair that is wetter. From abit of experimenting i found that this mask works best if i "ring out" the excess water, then once or twice compress my hair with a towel, apply liberally for at least 15 mins then rinse with cool water.
It seems as though some other deep conditioners, whilst still great products, only leave my hair with a great temporary shine but don't really deep condition or repair. This mask really really conditions and repairs so well, and actually MAKES hair healthier instead of just LOOKING healthier!

I've only used this once but so far I LOVE it. I have recently stripped and bleached my hair back to platinum and my hair needs all the protein it can get so I need some intensive moisture. I've been using loads of oils on my hair but need some cones as well for slip. I was due for a clarifying shampoo and followed with the mask. I left this on for about an hour under a conditioning cap. Amazing results. My hair really seems to like the macadamia and argan oils and this product is not waxy and it's paraben free. Smell was light and pleasant, package was pretty. I also purchased the healing oil (both from target and about 25-30 ea.) and like it as well.

This hair mask may seem expensive for what you get, but I looooove it. It leaves my hair soft and has a great smell that's not too fruity or perfume-y, just fresh and lovely. Honestly, I would say that the Neutrogena triple moisture hair mask is probably comparable for what it does, and is much cheaper, but here is why I will keep buying Macadamia Natural Oil products: they don't make me break out! The Neutrogena mask was nice, but after a few uses my back started breaking out horribly. Since I switched, my back has cleared up and I've even noticed fewer breakouts on my face, around my hairline.
Definitely give this a shot if deep conditioning products tend to make you break out - a little goes a long way, which makes it a better deal than it seems. Otherwise, Neutrogena's hair mask is a cheaper alternative.

My hair is: fine, straight, thin, and shoulder length.
This mask has changed my hair for the good! I've been using this once a week for two months and my hair is softer and noticeably shinier. I add about 1/2 a pump of the Macadamia Natural oil to it, and I leave it on for 1-2 hours before I wash it out. My hair feels like silk and isn't greasy in the least. Also, because my hair is so thin it's extremely prone to breakage and splitting off. My hair has grown about an inch, which is a record for me, and my ends are shiny and healthy. I can't see how I'll ever stop using this product. For people who live in Canada, definitely check out Winners. I went to several different Winners to find them, and I was able to pick up the mask for $16.99 (as opposed to $27.95 at Trade Secrets), so it was worth the trouble to track down.
UPDATE: Sally Beauty came out with their own version of this for around $14 CND. I definitely won't be purchasing this again, because in my opinion this product give the same effect. The only difference is the smell - the one from Sally's doesn't have that sickly oil smell.

LOVE THIS! at first when i tried it i thought it did nothing, my hair wasn't smoother at all than with my regular conditioner, even after i blow dried & styled my hair it seemed the same. BUTTTT, heres where the magic happened. Usually w/ my normal conditioner, the softness is gone by the 2nd day of not washing it & i have to use oils to make it shiny and soft. but here i am typing not having washed my hair since wednesday when i used this and my hair is still AMAZINGLY SOFT as if i just washed it. Plus, i probably only left it on for 5-7 minutes. I will continue to use this once a week and cant wait to try it on for an hour!
AND LAAAADIES, i bought this on amazon, which made it around $18 for the 8oz jar, almost half off! plus free shipping on amazon prime! yaaaaaay for good deals! (=
