I made the whopping $4 investment and picked up both the shampoo and conditioner. It took 3 trips to 3 different stores to find some in stock! Hard to believe that a Suave product was flying off the shelves. I have been using this combo for 2 weeks and my naturally curly fine hair has been loving it! The shampoo doesn't strip my hair and it feels somewhat moisturized from that alone. The conditioner does not weigh my hair down at all. I haven't even been using styling product. I just wash and let it air dry and I end up with soft volumness curls. LOVE IT!!!

This is my new everyday conditioner. Very cheap, smells nice & works well. Doesn't weigh my fine hair down, doesn't coat it at all but adds a great smoothness to it. And the cheapness probably raises my rating a lippie.

Smells great, but weighs my hair down. By the end of the day my roots are super oily and my ends are still dry. The conditioner is also a little runny which I do not like.

I really like this conditioner. I use it with the corresponding shampoo. I only apply it from midlength to ends, because it has silicone in it, and I have to avoid getting silicones on my roots or they get greasy. It conditions well without weighing my hair down and it's very inexpensive. It also doesn't cause any bacne for me. My hair is softer since I switched to this shampoo and conditioner.

The shampoo and conditioner of this has been a miracle for my hair. I've been getting compliments on how pretty my hair looks all week so I figured I should write a review for it . My hair has never been so soft and shiney with any other products. I have very fine, color treated blonde hair that is prone to frizz. The combo of the shampoo and conditioner cleans my hair without drying it out and leaves it smooth. I wasn't expecting much when I bought it because it's so cheap, but it said it moisturizes as well as aveda's dry remedy, which I love but can't afford. I wouldn't compare the 2 as I feel they are completely different products but they both give fantastic results! I highly recommend this and for $2 you can't go wrong.

This is a good moisturizing conditioner for the price. Nice and thick and leaves my hair moisturized and moderately conditioned. Great everyday conditioner for dry damaged hair.

GREAT PRODUCT!!! I have used Suave in the past, and have refrained from continuing to buy it because it always stripped and dried out my hair. However, this conditioner competes with some of the more expensive conditioners I have been using. I have long color treated hair that tangles easily. This conditioner detangled well and left my hair feeling very soft and managable, not dry or stripped. And it is so cheap! You can get a huge bottle of it at WalMart for a few dollars.

I love this conditioner! I use it with it's matching shampoo and my hair looks and feel really great. I love that is doesnt seem to buildup in my hair. I'mnot sure I understand the previous review about it being "thin"- it's one of the thickest conditioners I've ever used- it comes out and looks like a thick body cream. It smells great- my DH says I smell like "summer" when I use this product. I've used very $$$ hair conditioners and shampoos and none of them works this well. The cherry on top is that it costs about $2 a bottle- where has this been my wholelife?! I have color treated, dry, wavy medium thickness hair with "frizzies". This line works perfectly for me.

I use this in combination with the matching conditioner. The consistency is thin but don't let that fool you. It conditions fabulously and my hair feels like silk afterward. The only complaint I have is storing it upside down (like the package is meant to) makes all the product fly out of the container once you flip it open. I store it wrong-side up to avoid this.

Oh, I am so happy with this conditioner!!!! I found the huge 32 oz. bottle with a pump at Walmart for $2.39 and thought I'd try it. I'd been conditioner/only washing my hair for about 6 months but had not yet found an HG product.
My hair is chin-length, color-treated, very thick, and very, very dry. I normally c/o wash it about 2X a week.
One of the secrets to c/o washing I've found is that you need to really, REALLY make sure that your hair is wet. After I do that, I put a palmful of conditioner on the top of my hair and massage it in, then get another palmful, and divide it, and massage it into the area above my ears, by my temples. I take about 2 minutes to thoroughly massage the conditoner all through my head and scalp. At that point, I add a little more water and start moving the conditioner down to the ends of my hair, where it stays while I do the rest of my shower routine. Then I rinse. I don't add another deep conditioner or leave-in conditioner. That's it!
This conditoner is PERFECT!
1. It smells really nice. Not like something you can identify...just something really really pleasant that won't linger too long or clash with your perfume later.
2.It glides through my hair well. It's not watery, but it's not so thick and creamy that I have a hard time spreading it around.
3.It rinses cleanly. Even though my hair is beautifully conditioned, it still gives me a little *squeak* when I rinse.
4.My hair is soft and shiny. Even my stylist asked me what I was using, AND said to keep it up!
5. I used to have issues with a flaky scalp...GONE, GONE,GONE!!!!
6. It's insanely inexpensive. Even with me using palmfuls, I doubt if I use more than $5.00 worth a month.
I would recommend getting the big bottle without the pump if you can find it, especially if you use a lot like I do. That would be my only advice.

I am very picky when it come to shampoos and conditioners. I have thick, dry, and damaged hair. So it's hard for me to find something I really like. I decided to try this new suave product. I figured I'd probably toss it out since I never really liked Suave in the past. But I thought I'd give it a try.
Well I love it. The shampoo cleans my hair very well. the conditioner makes my hair feel really nice and smooth once I rinse it out. Also, I don't have to use a much hair product as normal, such as leave in conditioners to make my hair more moisturized and manageable. This conditioner does it for me! Once my hair is dry it feels so soft and healthy.
I also love that it is made of natural ingredients and the packaging is made from recycled,

I was very dissapointed in this conditioner. I love the Suave Rosemary Mint one but this one is nothing special. The conditioner is very very thin and isn't hydrating at all. My hair doesn't even feel soft when I rinse it out. I was really hoping to like this too :(

I really liked this conditioner. I think for the price it's amazing. It moisturized my hair very well (which is very dry). I think it pairs well with the Rosemary and Mint Shampoo. I didn't have an issue with the ingredients but not all hair is created equal. I recommend if you are looking for something on the cheap and need to moisturize your hair (not sure how it does on the scalp as I only apply to my ends). I may venture and say this is an HG item!

First things first...these Suave "Professionals" products are NOT knock offs of name brands...the clever marketing only tells you that they "moisturize as well as..." - in reality, nearly any moisturizing shampoo or conditioner could really say the same thing. The ingredients are nothing like the name brands either.
I was on the fence about trying this because cyclopentasiloxane is the third ingredient in it and I never have any luck at all with that silicone. Since it had other decent ingredients in it, I decided to take a chance.
I was not impressed with this conditioner at all. I used it as a rinse out conditioner and again as a leave in. As a rinse out, it feels good going on, it is easy to apply and covers well. It smells great, I'll give it that much. It rinses out easily. I was able to comb through my waist length hair easily. But that's where the good review ends...
As my hair air- dried, I could see it getting more and more frizzy...just what I expected, that's what cyclopentasiloxane does to my hair. My hair did not feel moisturized at all. I always give my bangs a bit of body (I cannot stand flat straight bangs on me!) by blow drying them quickly with a round brush and they usually stay that way without the use of any styling products. With this, they fell flat within an hour.
I also tried this as a leave in. Even using a pretty good amount of it, it did not weigh my hair down or make it look greasy. It didn't seem like I'd put anything in it at all.
My daughter didn't like it either. Her hair didn't have much of its natural curl in it.
I think this one is pretty much doomed to the back of the closet shelf until I get tired of looking at it and throw it away or maybe my daughter will like it as a shaving cream.

I am consistently pleased by the quality of Suave conditioners, especially considering the price point and consistency of many of their formulas. This specific conditioner is no exception, and may actually be the best one from their entire collection (I have used them all) for my hair type (I'm a 3c/4a, with hair extending past my armpits once stretched)--and perhaps in general.
I'll begin with the pros. The following is a list of the top eight ingredients of the conditioner: Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Steramidopropyl Dimethylamine, Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Jojoba Seed Oil, and Aloe Vera Juice.
Rarely have I seen such a powerhouse of moisturizing ingredients at such high "concentrations," at the price point of Suave products. Now, the caveat is that there's a silicone that's very high on the list, but it does not affect my hair like other conditioners with this particular cone as the third ingredient. Usually, the cones definitely allow easier combing and manipulation of my hair, but they coat the shaft and eventually make my strands harder. Additionally, my hair usually does not respond well to oils at such high concentrations--they tend to have the same impact on my hair as cones.
I've been using this conditioner for two weeks, and my hair has not had that reaction. I have had little to no buildup on my hair or on my scalp--which just does not happen with other cone-heavy conditioners. This is likely partially because of the thickness of the conditioner (more about this later). It is incredibly hard for me to find an inexpensive conditioner that both moisturizes my hair while providing a lot of "slip." The tri-combination is important for me, as I go through copious amounts of conditioner...and if my hair isn't actually softened by the conditioner, it doesn't matter if I can easily glide my fingers or a comb through it as my hair will eventually become parched. Conversely, it doesn't matter if my hair is moist yet I'm dealing with tangling on a daily basis. This conditioner solves both of those problems.
And it's cheap. So cheap that I initially walked by it as I knew that anything as cheap as Suave, that supposedly had shea butter and almond oil? Would have such low concentrations of active ingredients that it wouldn't be worth my time. The cheapness works for and against this formulation, as it is rather thin--especially for shea butter being so high on the ingredient list. Be forewarned--in order to be happy with your results, you may have to apply a bit more of this one than you're used to. You also may have to allow it to penetrate the hair a bit longer.
The conditioner's thinness isn't enough of a trade-off to prevent me from singing its praises, especially considering that I can get away with just using this conditioner as a rinse-out and not applying another leave-in. Again, it's rare for me to find a conditioner that actually imparts lasting softness to my hair which lasts after it's dry. By the way, this conditioner also makes a nice leave-in (not at all heavy, no flaking when dry, combines quite nicely with other styling products without clumping, etc.)...and I will likely continue using it in that capacity should it end up turning on me.
Like many of them have in the past. I fear that this product will begin to make my hair very unhappy in a few weeks. It's just a bit too light, a bit too thin, a bit too loaded with potentially problem ingredients, for me to say that this is a holy grail product. It is pretty close, though. Will it be substantial enough for hotter and drier months? No idea, especially if I'm rinsing it out.
Forgot to mention the scent. Thank goodness this has a mellow and sophisticated fragrance. I know, I know, it's Suave--but compared to the majority of their items, which remind me of rolling in a vat of sugared and fruity melted plastic? This is a dream. I wish it were a bit heavier on the rosemary and lemongrass, but that's likely because I love those scents--and with the other ingredients in this conditioner, would likely make a lovely combination.
Another forewarning--while I am complaining that this conditioner is too light and thin for my hair? My hair is known to devour the thickest of conditioner formulas, and STILL leave me lamenting that I need a thicker and richer product. I can easily, easily see this conditioner being too heavy for thin or some types of straight hair. Don't let that scare you away, though, if you're having issues with dryness, as you may be pleasantly surprised with this conditioner. I can also easily see it being the perfect balance of moisture without overpowering weight that some people may need.
Regarding this conditioner being comparable to Aveda's original product: it's not. None of Suave's products perform as well on my hair, especially as consistently well, as their salon inspirations. I actually wish they would remove that aspect of their promotions, as the products are excellent on their own merit. But for what it promises to do beyond the salon part? It's currently delivering stellar results, and it is definitely worth at least an initial trial period on your shelves.

Not even remotely comparable to Aveda's Dry Remedy. The consistency was thick but that is the only positive I can find. When I applied it to my hair, it still felt dry and was difficult to comb through before rinsing out.
A comparison to other drugstore brands would probably be more fair. In that case, it's still terrible. I would not recommend this for someone with dry hair.
