Amazing. I never thought my skin could look like this again (ie.. when i was 12, before i hit adolescence with oily, clogged skin and large pores!). Well, i still have all of those but it has been reduced dramatically because of this product! I noticed results only after 3 days, and after a week the appearance of my pores had diminished, blackheads had been reduced and there was much less oil being produced on my T-zone! Skin looks and feels very soft and smooth! Highly recommended.

Absolutely LOVE this product! It has transformed my skin so completely, I look like a different person! It has almost stopped my breakouts and my skin is the softest it's ever been! I've already gone through one bottle and got another today, I love it! I also use it on skin/chest area.

Amazing stuff, I tell ya!

I tried the sample size before bought the original size.I found its more liquid w sample n quite like it as its absorb easily to the skin.but its not w the bottle one.its thicker n heavier and take a year to absorb. I've been using for
1 month w/o significant result, my chin still full of white n black head....don't know if have to keep using it or quit!!

I have been using Paula's Choice 2% BHA liquid for a few weeks now and my skin is LOVING it! My face has never been this smooth or soft. I have been struggling with extreme combo skin (oily on the forehead/t-zone, but dry/flaky on my cheeks) and this product has balanced out my skin. I also tried the 2% lotion and gel (I got the same great results), but the liquid dries the fastest and works best under make up. Others have said that the liquid feels too oily and I also had that experience because I used too much - you only need a dime/nickel size amount on a cotton pad. I've also been using the liquid on my arms (I have a bad case of keratosis pilaris) and it has reduced the bumps and redness. This is definitely my holy grail skin care product!

I love this product. It keeps my skin clear. Since I started using it five years ago, it has kept my acne at a minimum.

I paid $28 aus for this, but it didnt really do anything at all.
It felt sticky upon application and so i only put it on at night,
It never burned or irritated but even after using it until it was depleted the results were not noticed at all.

I have replaced it with the paulas choice weightless body lotion with 2% bha and that has worked very well for my face, reducing blackheads and white heads.

I would try the clear regular strength toner before this it has 2%bha as well but is said to be a much lighter consistency.

To finish I would buy this if it had dramatic results but it didnt so oh well. it was one of those "is it working...oh i dont know if it is" but it does have the chance to work

A fantastic product!!! I can only rave about it. It has made my skin balanced, less oily, smooth and clear. What else can you possible ask for? Paula's products are truly most effective when used properly. I made the mistake of selecting what I thought I needed rather than seeking the advice of her very well trained and knowledgeable staff. They guided me to the right products that have made the most difference in my skin. I highly recommend the 2% liquid to anyone with mild to moderate acne and or oily skin. It will make a very positive difference.

This product has been a huge help for my cystic acne. As Paula Begoun describes on her web site, cystic acne occurs when oil glands become full of sebum that can't escape through the pores; they then rupture under the skin, creating incredibly painful, large, unsightly bumps. So one way to fight cystic acne is to keep the pores open and free of debris, oil, makeup, etc. that can clog them up. I've struggled with cystic acne on my chin for ten years, and consistent use of 2% BHA lotion has helped so much. It's not an overnight fix, but over time it improves the way my skin performs and helps keep it smooth and exfoliated.

This product has also had a huge benefit for my boyfriend's life; he uses it after he shaves his face, to help prevent ingrown hairs. It is the first product that he has found that effectively prevents ingrown hairs, bumps, and redness caused by shaving. It's also an effective way to get him to consistently use lotion on his face, which tends to be dry in the autumn and winter.

I love that this product is truly unscented; I hate using any scented product on my skin, as fragrances really irritate it.

My only problem with the product is that it can be a bit difficult to rub in; I feel like it used to absorb more quickly, so I wonder if they changed the formula within the last two years.

I don't know why but this takes forever for my skin to absorb. And there's always a white sheen that I have to work extra hard to dissolve on my skin. I got a dew samples of the 2 percent gel and that stuff was terrible. This is better but still not that great. It's a little irritating to my skin but nothing too dramatic. The biggest problem is the amount of time it takes to absorb. And the price. Maybe I'll try the liquid instead, but hopefully I'll find a cheaper alternative. Drugstores have 2 percent BHA (salylic acid) for much cheaper. Don't think I'll buy this lotion again.

EDIT-10.11.10-I recently tried this again and it just burned my face. Unfortunately, I just returned every thing I just purchased from PC because I could not find one single product that did not dry me out or burn/sting my face including the fancy RESIST moisturizer. And my face was red aaaallllll day. So much for sensitive, rosacea prone skin products from PC. Don't know what is different and I can concede that it could be my skin BUT still. :-(

Compared to the 2% gel which I went back to and I am not happy with because it takes forever to soak in, I would purchase this again. It soaks in much better. Otherwise, it is a good product and I haven't had any adverse reactions. Packaging is not good. Needs pump and I personally am leery of plastic. I know people complain about glass, but I would like it better.

I use this product to clear my clogged pores. It eventually smooths out pores, but it takes a long time. It would take weeks before I'd notice the difference.

I would only use a small amount of it most evenings (as can not be bothered to wait until it dries in for me to apply make-up in the morning).

I don't think it's a good idea to use this product too much as your skin may rely on it. As in, if you stopped using it, your skin would be worse off.

Also, I found with my sensitive skin, too much of it stung a little bit.

It is pricey. Although it works, I don't think I would buy it again because of the price. Plus, once my pores are clearer, I don't see a reason to keep using it. I'd rather avoid using pore clogging products (it was BE make-up that clogged my pores).

I like this because it doesn't sting my eczema at all. What I don't like is the consistency...apparently they changed the formula (I didnt try the old formula) and now it is very hard to rub in...almost like a thick sunscreen. It also makes my face look quite greasy and I have dry skin. I am not ruling it out for wintertime use, however I would like to try the "liquid" version as it is made for oily skin and has better reviews. Hopefully it won't dry me out too much!

I've been struggling with the most stubborn blackheads since I first started getting acne. Absolutely nothing has worked on them, except this product. But not only does it clear my blackheads, it also prevents any other acne from surfacing.

Over the years I've wanted a change and/or become skeptical that this product is so amazing, so I've switched off of using this and into several different anti-acne/blackhead routines. Of course, none of them work anywhere near as well as this. I always come back to it, and I'm always very happy with the results.

This time around, it really has done wonders. My skin has never looked better, and my blackheads really are gone. That's something no benzoyl peroxide, other BHA product, or nose strips have ever been able to achieve.

I do have to order this online, but Paula often has sales, and with those discounts and the amount it comes in it really isn't any more expensive than a drugstore product. I can't imagine using any other exfoliator.

I've been using this the last few years and it has worked so well to clear up my acne and smooth out my skin. Once applied to the skin, it disappears unlike the 2% gel formula. I'm really glad that I've found this and Paula. I couldn't be more grateful to her for saving my skin and saving me tons of money. I hope she continues to do what she does and help thousands of other women out there. I'm a fan for life.

I don't personally use the 2% BHA regularly because I find that it can be too drying for my skin (I use RAM.) I prefer the 1% lotion because it's milder for me. However, my 16 year old daughter uses this daily to help her skin stay clear. It's not a miracle product, but I think it's the best BHA on the market and I have purchased it for her many times and will continue to do so unless I find an equally effective one for less money.

I loved this product before it was reformulated. It is now thick and slow to absorb.
I really liked the silky light feel of the old formulation.
Will not be repurchasing.

Used 2% BHA in liquid form for well over 5 weeks and was left disappointed...before I bought it I had slight acne on my chin and blackheads on my nose, hoping this would alleviate those problem areas. After applying it to my whole face after the balancing cleanser in the evening everyday, I saw no change in the blackheads or pimples. I actually got more pimples on my chin and noticed the new ones were actually cysts. I would not recommend this product to reduce acne or blackheads, however, my cheeks that were free of acne the whole time became very soft from using the product.

I would only recommend this product if you already have clear skin and are looking to make it softer. Do not buy it as an acne treatment, it will only make your problems worse :/

I've been using this BHA along with others paula's choice products for the past month. I say this is no miracle product but it definitely help with my oily skin. After using this 2-3 times, my skin was definitely not oily, a bit too drying i even think. Can't imagine using it in the winter, my face would be bone dry. I haven't had any breakout since I use her products, so it doing well so far. My skin is a lot more even tone and more refined now than ever before. The price is very reasonable compare to the result and how long it will last. I would absolutely buy this again.

So for me this is not the miracle blackhead remover that some have raved about. I am half way done with this product and have just as many bh's on my nose as when I started this. I still get breakouts, hormonal monthly ones for those who know what that is, but the rest of the month my skin looks pretty good. I haven't really noticed a change in the texture of my skin with this. I prefer the gel texture from when I was using the 1% gel. The liquid doesn't absorb instantly, instead it takes a minute or two and for some odd reason feels almost like a wet dry oil. I know that doesn't really make sense but that's the only way I can describe it. I expected it to absorb really fast because it was like water but it doesn't.
It doesn't have a scent to me, the 1% gel smells acetony to me and this doesn't. I think I might try the 2% gel after I am done with this one.

This product has transformed my skin in a matter of weeks. I no longer break out nor have to rely on prescription products for acne. (I use it as a toner each morning and night after washing my face) Highly recommend!!
