Had a coupon for this, so it was very cheap. I think this stuff rocks, I'm amazed this dried the lips of other reviewers out, as it is so moisterizing on mine. I love the smell, and the way this feels when I apply it. The tube is crud, it will push back into the tube when you apply unless you hold bottom, but jeez, even at full price it's super cheap. I can't say anything about the anti-aging part, I've only been using this about two weeks, but I will buy it again as I love it under dryer lippys.

my $0.49 Aldi Rain Fresh Lip Protectant is better than this.
i got it for 1.87 at walmart and bought it on an impulse buy just cuz i like chap sticks.
i do like the twist tube, where it is like a lip stick that you can twist up, there isn't the hole in the middle.
but its not any better than my 49 cent one,
one thing i've noticed with blistex is that you always feel like you gotta reapply, and reapply, and reapply some more. Blistex just doesn't do the job, i've used the roller ball blistex and that was just the worst! i've used the dark blue complete moisture one i think it was called, and that one feels similar to this one and its not the best. I also used the white silky smooth one or whatever its called.
i gave the overall rating a 3 because it wasnt extraordinary, and it wasnt complete crap.
price i gave a 3 because i can buy chap sticks for 49 cents- 1 doller that work better, but also there are much more expensive ones crossing the 2 and 3 dollar marks.
packaging i gave a 3 because i kinda like the way the tube is compared to other chap sticks, its neat and different, but its not great or cool enough for me to stick with it once i use this tube.

i also like my cheapy CVS brand "chap aid" which is also cheaper and better :)
so no i wont buy this again because i can get 3 chap sticks from aldi at the price of this one, and they feel better on my lips.

UPDATE: 2/2/09
EHH this stuff is CRAP, it drys out my lips, and makes them PEEL and FLAKE off!!! this NEVER happens to me and my lushious lips! lol.
this is the only lip stuff that i feel the need to put it on every 2 seconds, its garbage! and it doesnt even do anything to moisturize my lips!!
i changed it to a 1 because its just not good at all, and because 0 is not an option !
i feel that ALL blistex products seem to be terrible on my lips!

This is an amazing lip balm, my lips feel so soft and smooth. It makes wearing lipstick so much prettier. It seems to be healing my cracks and flakes this winter. There is a strong scent, and it has a sweet flavor.

I wanted a cheap "treatment" balm with SPF in it and thought this would be perfect. It goes on nice and thick but doesn't seem to ever actually absorb into your lips. I've seen no plumping effect but I have noticed that my lips (which were fine before) are now really dry and flaky hence requiring more lip balm. Don't care for the dryness so I'm tossing this tube.

I HATED this! I used it for a little over two weeks because my lips were extremely dry and chapped. I used this throughout the day everyday and finally just decided that I need to try something else. It does smell pretty good, but it made my lips WAAY worse than they were before! i even used it a little outside of my lips because they were extremely chapped and now my lips and outside of my lips are very peely and very dry! There are a lot of mixed reviews about this product; however, I would NEVER recommend this to anyone! The packaging is also horrible, I can't really explain.

I am not completely impressed with the staying power of this balm.....it seems to melt away really quickly so I wouldn't recommend using this overnight as you will wake up with nothing on your lips. I have noticed a slight improvement in the overall smoothness of my lips though. Nothing tops Rosebud Salve, but this is a good cheap alternative.

Wonderful lip balm! I put this on at night and my lips feel so smooth in the morning - even with this harsh below-zero weather we are having. The smooth and hydrated feeling lasts ALL day. Because of this my lip glosses go on much better. I don't mind the taste at all, it isn't sticky or goopy.

After almost two weeks of nightly use my lips look just healthier. They also don't tend to get chapped during the day nearly as much, even if I don't put anything else on. I cannot say for sure this product makes my lips fuller, but I have very naturally full lips to begin with. I don't believe this would go on well if your lips are severely chapped though. It leaves a nice sheen as well - not shimmer or glitter. Not expensive, about $2.25 for a tube. Definite repurchase!

I love this stuff! It's a very thick, dense, creamy formula. I put it on 2 hours ago and it still feels like it did when I first applied it. It has a very light, fresh, almost citrusy scent and taste. I was weary of this product because something in Blistex lip balms usually gives me a headache (I think it's one of the SPF ingredients), but I was very pleasantly surprised with this one. I also like that this balm leaves a great sheen. It's not shiny or glossy, just natural gleam without sparkle. We'll have to see about "anti-aging" claims, but I slather this on before bed and my lips feel very soft in the morning. I will definitely repurchase when I run out!

This stuff was horrible for me. I don't know if it's Blistex products in general (Silk & Shine was also bad) or what. I didn't like the sweet mint scent/taste. Too overpowering imo. The worst thing about this balm is that it dries out my lips (as did S&S)! I still use it bc I hate wasting stuff, so I usually wear it underneath petroleum jelly. Didn't improve the look of my lips or anything. Just made them dry and flaky. Def. wouldn't repurchase this.

I'm sorry to be the one to dislike this balm, since it seems to be pretty popular with everyone else. It dried out my lips pretty bad after using it for a few days. My lips were in fine condition before, and after using this lip balm they started getting little flakes of dry skin. Maybe it was just exfoliating my lips first before it could make them soft ? It did smell good, like a subdued minty smell, and had a pretty good taste. The packaging was good, and I agree with another reviewer who said they liked how this balm wouldn't get a hole in the middle like other balms that did not have this type of packaging. I might just try it for a few more days to see if it has to exfoliate first before making them soft, if that even makes sense. It was cheap--$1.87 at Target. At first I thought that this was a replacement for the Silk and Shine which I love and definitely prefer over this, but Silk and Shine is still being sold thankfully.

I have a lip balm addiction, and I have tried every kind out there. I'm looking at my desk and I have 8 different kinds just in plain sight by my laptop. Pathetic really, but living in a dry area like I am lip balm becomes a necessity as much as an accessory. Blistex Deep Renewal isn't heavy or cloying like other balms, and doesn't break off easily like other balms when you apply them. And I don't need to whip it out every 5 min. to reapply. It has the deepest moisturizing feeling and doesn't feel heavy on my lips. Bonus: combined with Nivea's Passion Fruit balm I get the perfect rose-stained/soft pink pouty look, and can control whether I want a more " nude" look by applying more Deep Renewal (which I've found neutralizes pigment in my lips. Has anyone else experienced this?) or a bright Rihanna mouth by applying more Passion Fruit.

This has a nice consistancy very slick and light not heavy at all on your lips a very light fruity fragrance that fades pretty fast (so if you don't like it it won't be a problem) but it does say that it takes 4 weeks to see a difference in the deep lip wrinkles that I have(Ladies and especially young ladies--if you tan--ALWAYS use SUNSCREEN in your balm and USE IT-- I remember tanning in the summers off from school and burning my lips over and over and I DO have somewhat bad wrinkley lips--thank goodness for all of these smoother products!)
For 2.12 at Walmart it's a good balm though I use it at night and all day long if I am not going to use makeup/lipsticks--I do still feel that my Alba Botanica passion fruit nectar leaves me with much smoother and plumper looking lips the next morning if I use IT at bedtime- ??which is weird because it doesn't say it has any hylauranics in it or anything of that nature but anyway just know you are going to have to be VERY patient if you are buying this for smoother lips--;-)(look at the back it tells that stuff on the packaging)
UPDATE:After a weeks of usage does help with the wrinkles SOME
but had to take off a lippie as I do feel this dries out my lips kind of an oxymoron for a product of this nature eh???

I like how this has beneficial ingredients in it for the lips, combined with SPF 15. It has a light consistency and a moderate amount of shine. It twists up like a lipstick, so it doesn't have a hole in the middle of the stick like most balms. I don't see any dramatic results or anything, but I'm very pleased with it for the price. I didn't notice any drying of my lips with repeated use as others have described, but I tend to alternate my lip balms because I have a bunch of them. One thing I noticed is that it doesn't stay on the lips for a long time, it disappears after a little while. I think of it more as a treatment than a deep moisturizing balm.

Oh my, I had high hopes for this and eagerly snapped it up at a BOGO event at Rite Aid. I applied it all day long, repeatedly and generously but by that evening my lips were dry and peeling...GRRR!!! Deep Renewal my a$$. I have never found anything that works as well on my lips as AVON lip conditioning treatment with 2x the retinol (HG all the way but you have to get it on sale or its $8 a tube), all I wanted was something that I could pick up while I was on the run and throw in my pocket, since its winter. The pros, it has a nice fruity smell and taste, I can't really put my finger on what kind of fruit...but its nice. I normally can't wear ANY blistex/chapstick brands because I have an allergic reaction and break out in itchy blisters all along my lipline, but I haven't had any problems with this. It comes in a large white tube that is easy to find in my purse and you get a reasonable amount of product. But, all that isn't worth a hill of beans when my lips are dry and chapped as the sahara desert. NO I would not repurchase.

This is one of the best lip products I've found--drugstore or department store brand. And you can get it for around 2 dollars at any drugstore or grocery. I really recommend trying it--it smoothed out many of the tiny lines on my lips, plumped them up without stinging or hurting (one of my chief complaints with lip plumpers), and did not leave a weird taste or odd color on my lips. I've been using it underneath my lipstick/gloss, and the SPF is an added bonus. I've been using an Avon lip treatment that works very well, and I will continue to use the Avon--but this is just a great all-around product worth stashing in your office desk drawer and as an extra for your purse, suitcase, etc. Try it!

I hate to be the bad review of the bunch but I did not really like this product. I loved it initially, but with repeated application I felt like it dried out my lips more and more. About two weeks later I felt like I had to apply this stuff every 30 minuted to keep my lips from getting dry. I had dry lips but never this badly. When I switched from blistex to Nivea-a kiss of moisture I finally felt some relief.

Bought this after reading the reviews, and I'm still trying to decide if I like it. I used Blistex lips balms before and didn't like their waxy feel and taste, but Deep Renewal is silky, tastes fruity, and leaves a subtle sheen. Also, there's a slight plumping of the lips, evidenced by the smoothing of the natural "wrinkles" on my lips. And, I love the fact that it has SPF 15. Unfortunately, the outer border of my lips (where one would apply lip liner) gets really dry. Also, I need to reapply DR frequently, unlike my Alba Botanica lip balm which, applied once, lasts almost all day. Plus, I'm not too fond of the lipstick-like packaging, although the bulkiness of the tube makes it easy to find in my makeup bag. All in all, I'm still undecided on this product, but I'm glad it's working out for others! ;)

Big thanks to Rayvin400 and the other positive posts on this product. I use it at bedtime for extra moisture. I've noticed that my lips are smoother, more supple and plump. There's a hint of shine when worn alone. I also use it as a base under my Lancome Pout-à-Porter lipstick. It helps to make the color last quite a while. It contains beeswax, jojoba esters, Castor seed oil, squalene and sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) and ubiquinone(CoQ10). The other big plus is the SPF 15. It has a subtle citrus scent that's unnoticeable upon application.
