I got a sample from the counter and tried it for a few days. Nothing dramatic happened. My skin felt smooth upon application but after a short while, the smoothness disappeared. It doesn't moisturize. Nor did my pores shrink in size. I think Estee's Idealist is a better buy considering the prices of both are almost similar. Fortunately I got the sample, not going to buy this.

i was looking for something to replace cdlm face serum, and the christian dior noAge serum broke my face out, so i tried this. it does NOT compare to cdlm face serum. in fact, i would use the 2 together, because they do different things for me.

first, it is a thick lotion, not a watery serum. the pump is okay, and i seem to be able to dispense what i need without making a mess. the lotion is thick enough to hold it's shape when i move my hand vertical.

it has a light smell, but not unpleasant. i rub the lotion around on my fingers, then lightly pat all over my face and neck after cleansing. then i let it sink in, it doesn't take long. my skin immediately feels very soft to the touch, but it is also obvious the lotion doesn't sink in all the way like cdlm serum does.

that is all i notice. the softness stays all day. i haven't been using moisturizer, just this, and i haven't broken out, had a rash, or anything like that. but i also haven't been wearing liquid foundation during the day, just minerals. i'm not sure my skin would be able to handle this lotion AND sunblock AND moisturizer AND foundation.

for softness, i would definitely buy this again - even my bf was always saying 'wow, your skin is soft'. it was around $30 for the bottle. but i haven't noticed any substantial changes to my skin - no luminosity, no lessensing of surface blotches - like i did almost immediately using cdlm face serum.

This is marketed as a skin perfector, and I'm not really sure it's made my skin perfect, but it is a really nice, light, non-greasy skin softener (I have oily/combo skin). It seems to make my skin smoother, and I like to mix it with my moisturizer or put it on as a base beforehand (I use Biotherm's Biopur Matte lotion) to increase moisturizing effects without added greasiness. The scent is fantastic, though for those who like unscented products it might be a bit strong. It's a clean, ozone, oceany scent. The texture (a silicone-based water gel) is a treat to apply, and it comes in a nice glass pump bottle that dispenses the right amount of product (not too much, not too little). I don't know if it's actually evened out my complexion as the literature promises, so that's why I gave it 4 lippies instead of 5. Otherwise I recommend it, though. A bottle at $35 has lasted me a long time (~ 4-5 months).
