This is actually a really nice powder, and it's a steal at $6-7 (in my area). I bought this after hearing some people say it's similar to Mac's Mineral Skinfinish Natural. It is definitely NOT the same, but it's nice in its own right. Comparing the two, the Maybelline powder is more matte and a little bit heavier. The Mac powder makes my skin have a bit more glow as well. I wear Light-Medium in Mac, but I picked up the Maybelline powder in Medium 0-1 "Sand". Anyway the Maybelline powder applies really nicely with a dense or flat-topped brush, but in a pinch, I've also used the little applicator that comes with the product. It's not the best, but if you use a light touch, it still works. It covers really well and can be built up. My skin is dry already, so this is a little bit drying (or maybe it just emphasizes dryness) if I don't moisturize heavily before use. I like to use this alone or over a tinted moisturizer for nice coverage but still natural looking skin. I'm really impressed with this product; it's great for a drugstore product. I still prefer the Mac MSFN, but this is a nice product as well.

I bought this in beige Medium 2-2.5. I am asian/middle eastern with prominent yellow undertones. For reference, i am a NC25 in mac studio fix liquid foundation and a NC30 in mac studio fix powder foundation. This didnt have enough yellow in it at all. If it had more yellow, it would be perfect.

This is a great setting powder for me. I use it on top of my foundation and I like the fact that it doesn't look cakey. I have combo/oily skin and I do have to touch up the oilies during the day (which is why I took one lippie off) so I carry this in my purse & it's so easy to use & when I touch up I don't look overly powdered. Color choices are very limited, I'm an NC35 & I bought the medium beige, that seems to be ok. It's not HG for me, so not sure if I would repurchase when I run out, but it is a good powder.

I have awful oily skin. Especially in the summer, I look like a grease ball. I was so insecure about my face. Whenever I'd take pictures or go out I felt like my shiny t zone was my main attraction, not my face. I'd heard great reviews here on Makeup Alley and also from one of my favorite Youtubers fafinettex3 about how great this powder was at keeping you matte. I knew about it for a while and I just recently picked it up a month ago. I wish I had got it sooner to say the least. It keeps my face completely matte ALL DAY. Even outside in humid weather. This powder has helped me so much with my self esteem, my confidence and to think its drugstore blows me away. The only downfall is that color selection is limited, but I did find my color. I say if you're insecure about your oily skin, go for this. It made a world of a difference for me.

I love this powder. It really does help keep my makeup matte for a long period of time. I have combo skin and only my t-zone gets oily, but it gets VERY oily and this product keeps that area nice and matte! Its only a drugstore product but for that, it is of exceptional quality. Bang for your buck

This powder stays true to its claim - Matte (good for oily skin). No matter how much I put on, it never looks cakey I dont know why but hey it works. Mine is almost 95% gone now and I have never used a powder that much before. I use this as a finishing powder after foundation and sometimes, due to laziness, I use it alone. It has a good buildable coverage but like I said no matter how much I put on it never ever looks cakey on me. It can also be used just a blotting powder. Darker shades are good for contouring since its matte. Mine recently broke too, so I crushed it into a loose powder which is even better for my very oily skin. Love this product and will definitely buy this again, plus its cheaapppp.

This product really works for me. I have combination skin, so usually I use the powder on my t-zone. It stays on for a long time and usually I touch up in the late afternoon. There's definitely a difference when I use this and when I don't. I'll continue using this.

surprisingly this product works for me! i do have very oily skin and it does keep it control. keeps shine away and oiliness, but does not keep skin dry or cakey. **tip is to make sure you do not put too much. i'd to use a kabuki brush with it and it's amazing!

I discovered this product by accident while I was at the beach. I got super tan and all my powders were way too light, so I ended up going on a mad hunt for a powder. I found this at walgreens, and decided to give it a try.
I love it! It gives a great matte finish, and keeps the shine away all day long. I use it with a large paddle brush like the MAC 150, and dust it only in my T zone. (I have dry combination skin, so only my T zone is oily.) I find that if I use it alone or all over my face, it looks a bit powdery and accentuates any dryness on my cheeks.
Overall, I really love this product and will continue to purchase it! :)

I have been using this powder for about 2 years now. I stumbled upon it by sheer accident when I was desparate for a powder and happened to be at the drugstore searching. This powder goes on light (I use a fairly fluffy powder brush I bought at the drugstore for $5) and definitely gives a finished look and seals the makup. I agree not enough color choices, but find the medium beige works well with my skintone. Only thing I don't like is I have to reapply in t-zone about every two hours. It doesn't dry out my skin, though, which is a good thing. Works very well with Almay longwearing makup. Doesn't work too well with Maybelline superstay 24 hour makeup, though. I also tried Revlons Colorstay matte powder which worked well (not too often to reapply), but dried my skin out in areas. Had to stop using. Buy the Maybelline! You'll be surprised!
