I received a sample of this in a GWP, even though the container was small, the brush and everything were normal sized. I like how this gives a dramatic look, however I found it was very hit and miss with clumping, and that's not usually a problem for me. There are definately better mascaras available at the drugstore.

This is the best mascara I have ever tried! A friend asked me what mascara I was wearing because my lashes looked so long. Normally you never see it when I wear mascara. I will buy this again!

Great mascara. It does add noticeable length and thickness to my light, skimpy lashes.
PROBLEM: Dries up very quickly. First tube dried up in a week. Returned it and got another one. Second tube now is 11 days old and drying up.
I expect a mascara for $22 to at least last a month to six weeks.
Will return it again until I at least get my $22 worth out of it.

Hypnose uncurls my lashes, but lengthens really well! I have to apply it really gently and make sure not to move the lashes when I apply, VERY gently. Also it clumps a little bit but thats okay, its a good clumping effect. Overall I wouldn't re-purschase but I will finish up the tube because it cost me 31 bucks.

This is a great mascara. I tend to lean more towards the natural makeup look, so one coat of Hypnose usually works for me. My lashes are already pretty long, and this mascara gives them much needed definition and volume. I don't find that it lengthens much, but it isn't very clumpy. A few more coats and you get very pretty, dramatic, lush lashes, but you may need an eyelash comb. I use this along with Lancome's mascara primer, Cils Booster XL. Fantastic, as with all of Lancome's mascaras! Will buy again!

this product is DEFINETLY not for anyone who wants a natural look. i personally am in love. i have naturally long, but bone-straight lashes. this thickens, lengthens, and curls all at once. at first i did have to wipe the wand before use, but now that it's dried out a bit i don't. gives me baby-doll, shadow-casting lashes. you may need to comb afterwards, but it's a small price to pay for such awesome lashes.

I have only worn this so far for 4 hours, so I can only go on my initial thoughts - I'll update later.

The wand on this mascara is standard sized, with nicely spaced 'bristles'. It's not too thick and bushy, which means that it's good for definition. Larger, thicker, densely packed 'bristles' usually result in clumps, so this is a nice, all-around-good brush.

It's very smooth to apply. The first coat gives lovely defined, thick lashes, that look lush and fluttery. Two coats will give you even thicker lashes.

Although a lot of reviewers have said this is clumpy; I wouldn't say it is worse than any other mascara I've tried. For example, Maybelline volum Express clumps far more than this one. Any clumps the Hypnose does have can be easily removed and brushed out with a lash comb. I wait until they're dry and then separate any lashes that are stuck together with a straightened-out paper clip.

Hypnose gives me long,
well-defined lashes, that feel a little hard and brittle, but hold a curl (heated eyelash curler by Blinc is best) really well. I'd say there is more lengthening and defining than there is actual volume, but it looks good all the same.

After 4 hours I have yet to have any flakes, but I will update this review soon.

Update: 2 days later: I love this, it's grown on me. I've had very little flaking so far, and my lashes look well-defined, long and lush. A keeper. Buying again!

I really like this mascara. It doesn't clump on me and leaves my lashes full and lush, not dried out like some other Lancome mascaras. Give this one a try!

Disappointed:( A good mascara for defining and lenghtening, but no volume. Doesn't hold a curl, and looks pretty normal on my naturally long lashes. Maybe it gets better when it dries up a bit? *fingers crossed*

Hypnose lives up to it's false eyelashes claims, that's for sure!! I love how on the first coat I get tons of smooth thickness. It definitely saves time if you are trying to get your lashes as thick and gorgeous as possible in the shortest amount of time. This mascara is NOT for the faint of heart or those looking to go natural. I should state that my lashes are very long, but blond and need some thickness...I also like a really dramatic lush look for my lashes, so this mascara doesn't bother me as much as the other reviewers. It does have the typical lancome problem of drying out too fast. The first week, it performs perfectly...after week two it's downhill from there. It gets drier and clumpier from then on. Wish there was something Lancome could do about this as their products start out so well in the beginning.

This mascara is a major let down. It is very messy, drys very slow, and the brush has so much on it you have to scrap it off as you take it out. Like others have said if I hadn't paid to much it would be in the trash. Terrible product, don't waste your money.

If you are a mascara lover like me, you will HATE this horrible new product from Lancome. This is seriously the WORST mascara that I have ever tried. I have very long and thick lashes and it takes a really poor mascara to make them look bad. If you have short or thin lashes, you might think this is a good mascara because it adds length and volume, but it looks like there are spiders on your face! This mascara clumps like no other mascara I have ever seen before AND on the first coat! Don't even think about applying the second coat! As usual for Lancome mascaras, this mascara seems to dry out after only one week, but it hardly matters because I will never use it again and I am so mad at Lancome that I could launch a full-scale campaign to make sure no one ever buys this mascara again! :-)

I made myself use the whole tube--after all I spent a ton on this! This was my biggest Lancome letdown ever. Clump, clump, no matter what I did. I started layering with other mascaras so that the last clumpy coat could be this sticky mess. Try this one before you buy.

This really makes my lashes look thick AND long, all in a longlasting formula! Triple threat, I say! Worth the splurge and am happy that I finally have a Lancome mascara that works for me...seems like out of everyone I know, I was the only one who did not like Lancome's mascaras...not anymore. ***EDIT:*** Clump Clump Clump! I am taking off lippies. I have found Flextincils or Flex WP (wp version) to be way better and no clumps!

Okay ladies, after reading this website's reviews of this mascara, I was skeptical. Some loved it and some definitely hated it. There were claims of clumps and all-around messiness. But as a consumer who is always trying to find that mascara that makes the eyes pop, I knew I had to try it. And let me tell you, the stuff REALLY WORKS! Just the other day, I was in a rush and didn't have time to apply my usual eye routine. So all I did was curl my lashes and apply the hypnose. Oh my goodness, the stuff was amazing. I didn't need any other make-up to make my eyes look really incredible. Even my good friend commented on them. This is by far my favorite mascara, and I've tried them all. Definitely worth the investment. Be prepared though to have q-tips on hand to clean any excess. Hey, it happens--no big deal.

Loving it! Goes on smoothly, no clumps, even when layered. Less gloppy than MAC Fibre Lash, more expensive, but worth it!

I have to say, I really like this product. I recieved a sample of it at the counter, and it came in the cutest package ever for a mini mascara. It's like the size of a perfume sample! Anyways, back to the product. I applied it over Lancome's 'Cils Booster' which prevented the clumping many other reviews dealt with. It gave me fantastic long lashes with combined with the the lash primer. Layering was also very easy to achieve longer lashes. All in all, I'll definately purchase if there is the same amount of product in a tube of Hypnose compared to Defencils for the same price.
