What a sultry scent! It has a candy after smell too it, but it definately is something exotic! A must have for your frag collection!

I have avoided all of the Paris Hilton fragrances. But yesterday I was browsing through perfumes and I tried CanCan. I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised! It smells like cotton candy, sugar and cookie, but it is not too sweet and sickening, it is warm and sensual. Don't like the bottle, but I'm seriously considering adding this fragrance to my collection!

I've owned all of Paris' fragrances and this is by far the best. It has not just more personality than the others but a different personality as well. I would describe her other fragrances as girly/flirty wheras this is an attempt at being sexy and grown up. It does remind me of another fragrance, although I've had this for months and still can't put my finger on it. It's not Fantasy or Pink Sugar. It's a gourmand like those but Can Can isn't as sweet, has more depth and fruity notes. I think it's reminding me of Escada Magnetism of all things! My only complaint would be the bottle, which I personally find boring, but that's just me. I think this could be worn year round but is especially good in cooler weather. I found this for a great price at Marshalls and when I run out I will repurchase even at full price. I hope Paris' next fragrance is as good as this one!

Can Can smells sooo nice!
The bottle isnt all that pretty though which is dissopointing since the box image is so cute.
I am NOT a paris fan... i dont care much for her, or other celebs but if it is her who picks out the Fragrances then she has good taste!!

I would not compare this it to Britney Spears Fantasy, they are very sweet yes / but still they are no match. i own both with good reason.

"Can Can is supposed to be an "elegant but fun" fragrance, inspired by the Can-Can dancers of the Moulin Rouge cabaret. It was developed by perfumer Jean-Claude Delville. Like Paris's earlier efforts, it has lots of fruits & flowers, but Can Can is meant to take cues from sexier oriental fragrances (the notes: clementine flower, cassis, nectarine, wild orchid, orange blossom, musk, amber and woods). You won't notice from the opening, which is massively sweet fruits over vanilla cake, and invites comparison to Britney Spears Fantasy. Once it settles though, it is warmer and less fruity (and considerably less sweet), and while it never gets dark or sultry, I guess you could say that it flirts with the oriental category. After an hour or so, it smells like a fairly basic woody musk with a bit of pale amber." - (post by robin at http://nowsmellthis.blogharbor.com)

I love it. I just got it today for $24 (the 50 mL) and i fell inlove with it. Its quite cheap really. The scene reminded me of Fantasy by Britney spears but only a little more youthful and soft. It smells like cotton candy (which i worship) with a hint of cookie but not in a pre-schooler way. Its great for youn adults and teens such as myself. best perfume so far.

I adore this perfume and it is very decently priced! You can find numerous sets for half price at the moment.

Though none of the notes suggest so, this scent reminds me of cotton candy. A sweet very slightly cotton candy with a vanilla hint to it. It's gorgeous and very feminine without being too little girl like. I wore this all through the winter and spring. The staying power is great. I hightly recommended it if you love sweet foody gourmand type scents.

I purchased a small (1.7 fl oz) bottle of this for about $15 at Ross, but I had sniffed it a few times at Macy's and was considering buying it. I'm so glad I found it, and at such a great bargain as well!!!
I have to agree with a lot of the previous reviewers, it's sweet and creamy (like Pink Sugar) without giving me a gnarly headache. It's got a bit of fruity to it, especially at first spritz...and that makes it a great summery fragrance. I put it on at 8 this morning and I can still get faint whiffs of it 7 hours later, so the staying power is pretty good. It's been hit & miss w/ me on some of the Paris fragrances--I like how they all smell in the bottle, but not all of them work on my skin (had to return 'Just Me'). I really like the packaging & bottle design of this one as well, very 'Moulin Rouge', which makes me feel good just looking at it! A definite rebuy for me, fast becoming one of my new fave fragrances!

I loved Paris' first fragrance but didn't care for her second, kind of liked her third. However, Can Can could be concidered her best work so far. It's both juicy and creamy at the same time, and although it might remind you of Britney Spears' Fantasy at the first sniff, it's definitely not as sweet and childish as Fantasy. It smells both mature and sexy, especially after it settles downs. This is definitely one of my favorite perfumes, and I have lots of them.
I love the bottle too, the staying power is decent and the price is reasonable.

I think this pretty much smells like Pink Sugar, but not so painfully sweet. I think it's a bit more wearable, and it lasts a long time on me. I probably wouldn't buy it again, mainly because I have other fragrances I love a lot more, but I'll use up the sample I got.

I ABSOLUTELY am in LOVE with this,! it's perfect. Unless you don't like the more sweet fruity stuff. It has a touch of vanilla so it makes it smell even yummier. I saw that one lady say that the bottle could be prettier? No it's perfect I think the bottle is gorgeous with the little feather. But anyway the smell is amazing and i will keep buying this till it is no longer made. Update: I now no longer love this smell. It's become a head ache to me when I smell it. I walked past a girl who had it on and I felt sick.

It reminds me stronly of Fantasy by Britney Spears, except this smells like there was Escada Sentiment mixed in. its in the family of Pink Sugar type scents, but its more complex than pink sugar and a little fresher than Fantasy. its a nice scent, but i cant say its ORIGINAL. if you dont like sweet/sugar/cotton candy than you will not like CanCan. although at 1st it seemed that this may be a little cloying, i found out that it fades as it dries down, and the staying power, although NOT TERRIBLE, is not the best neither.
the bottle could have been a little prettier!

i got this as a couple free sample vials when my boyfriend bought some calogne at perfumania. i wasnt expecting much but i think it smells pretty good! staying power is so-so, i put some on at around 11 this morning, and it lasted pretty well until around 6 for me. i can still smell it now very faintly if stick my nose on my wrist haha. the scent actually doesnt smell cheap, and i caught myself catching whiffs of it today and getting happy cause its a kindof girly sexy scent that just makes me feel pretty. i dont think i'll be purchasing a bottle, but i will be using up the rest of my samples! :)

A fun and sexy scent! Lasting power is pretty good. After about 5 hours, I can still smell it on my wrist. I do smell a hint of cotton candy like others have mentioned....but not in a childish way. It does smell a little similar to Fantasy, but this one is lighter and fresher. If you enjoy sweet and fun scents, this is for you.

I just tried this today, and I must say I really like this. I was shocked! It feels very awkward and rather uncomfortable for me to say I enjoy a Paris Hilton fragrance, but I can't hate it just because I hate her. :) I actually love it. I'm pretty skeptical on celebrity fragrances. I tend not to like them and I always find they smell pretty cheap. To me, Can Can smells like a less obnoxious Britney Spear's Fantasy (which I also like, you can disagree as you please). Yes, it's sweet, fairly trendy, and targeted towards the younger crowd. However, it's not too sweet, and I could wear this casually. It's nice! I actually find this stuff a bit too, hmmm... innocent and sweet to be related to her?

Notes as mentioned on MimiFrouFrou:
Can Can is a blend of top notes of clementine flower, cassis and nectarine; middle notes of wild orchid and orange blossom, and bottom notes of soft musk, amber and woods.

Can Can is one of my favorites of the 2007. I just learned today that this fragrance and one of my all time favorite fragrances Organza Indecence was blended by Jean Claude Delville. I am forced to layer the fragrance due to the fact is seems to leave me after awhile. The sent is so well blended and not as child like as so many of the new "young celebrity" fragrances. If you approve of Ms Hiltons lifestyle or not this is a great little perfume.

If you've ever seen the add for Can Can in the magazine, I would say that the scent does not match the ad. First of all, the citrus is gone after 30 seconds and you're left with a heavy, musky dry down. Don't go for this if you're looking for a pure, clean, refreshing, innocent scent. It's not too complex and doesn't really smell "expensive".
However... the scent is unique, not noticeably headache inducing, and the staying power is strong,

I never buy dept. store perfumes b/c they all end up smelling the same. This one being the exception-As soon as I smelled it I thought YUH MEEE. I had been contemplating buying a new scent but if I hadn't smelled this I would never have given dept store perfume a second thought. It's sweet but on me not overbearing, not teenager sweetness, and so not syrupy. I actually like this as an everday scent but I do agree this would be fabulous as a night on the town scent b/c of it's sexy sweetness. The initial spray did dry down a bit soon but after a few hours of having tested it I can still smell it on my wrist and mmmm it smells yummy just faintly of cotton candy but really IMHO it just isn't sickening. I totally disagree w/it smelling like Britney's Fantasy-I had actually sprayed that one first and it made me sick to the bottom of my belly-YUCK! I agree try before you buy. I took one lippie off for lack of staying power.
BTW: Although I really super like this fragrance it's more like can't can't the staying power is just not there. I keep having to spray it throughout the day-luckily it's not overbearing and it dissapates so quickly that it turns out to be okay. It really is a skin scent you can't really smell it unless you get really close to the wrist or nuzzle on the neck. If I return it that will be the only reason but at this point I might as well keep it I don't think they'll take back a half emtpy bottle.

RE Review revised.2/14. We had our mall day Saterday and I decided that I wanted to test Paris Hiltons Can Can since I heard it smelled simular to fantasy I thought I may like it.
I asked to sample and she gave me a card however I asked if I could spray it on myself. So I sprayed on the arm and wrist. There was a dominating sweet scent I thought was similar to fantasy with extra cotton candy notes however It was Aqualina's Pink Sugars overwhelming dominate scent left on the CanCan card. In describing the scent and smelling my card the other day It was as if someone mixed aqualina's pink sugar with cotton candy. All I know is that the fragrance wasn't what I thought it may be. It was not pleasant and probably why I got the notes mixed up was because if faded within less then a 1/2 hour. Everyone has preferences and different chemistry. I'm not a smoker and I had no other fragrances on. The only think I liked about this was the bottle. A clear cool looking blown glass shape with the clear perfume inside. If you like Aqualina you will probably like this fragrance. It was just to sweet for me. Anyone interested in this fragrance I highly recommend that this is not only sprayed on the card but to politely ask if you could spray the bottle on yourself to see if you like it. Again its not closer to fantasy but it is almost a complete dupe of Pink Sugar and there is nothing unique about this. This is a fragrance I would NOT imagine they would wear in the CAN CAN Era of exciting colors and dancing. She should have tooken a theme park or more playful theme with her holding a huge stick of cotton candy.

Okay, I really do not like Paris Hilton, so I would never buy anything that would continuously contribute to her wealth so that she could continuously be a dumb-blonde who gets off because of fame and money.

However, I have tried and worn the Paris Hilton Can-Can body oil and oh my! I love it. I'm not exactly sure what it smells like, but it's definitely not an everyday scent. & I wouldn't describe it as playful. To me, it seems very sexy and something for the mature, so I use it when I'm dressing up.

Yes, it does remind me of Escada Magnetism and Britney Spears Fantasy, but I like Can-Can better because its not as sweet. I would never purchase the perfume, but I am thinking about buying it in the body oil since its only $5.
