It doesn't really do too much for me, I don't think.
Not even control oil.

I know its supposed to "extract the pimple"

But it just seems like when I put it on my face it gets worse (the pimple)

Or it doesn't do anything.

But I have another mask / treatment that has sulfur in it (active ingredient)
And it works much better.

So I'm not sure.
This is average for me, I still sometimes use it, but I don't know why.

Maybe I'll get better results later on, but right now its just average. Not really great, not really bad.

Also I only used this as a mask once or twice, because there's SO little product that I just can't use it that often, so I use this as an acne spot treatment.

And it wears off by the morning, it probably smear on my pillow ew.

Better results using this as a mask than a spot treatment.

I am not a fan of this product. I really don't think it works all that well. It does kind of make pimples go down, but the difference is more noticable with other, less expensive products. Also, I put it on before bed, and when I get up, it's almost all rubbed off. I am not buying this again.

this mask is simply ok. when i rinse it off, my skin looks more glowing than it did prior, & it sort of does help to dry out existing blemishes, but overall it can be a bit drying to parts of the skin you DON'T want dried out. you will need a good, intensive moisturiser after application. i think it's fine, i've never really had a problem with it, but i'd say it's simply mediocre, & perhaps there are more effective clay masks out there. it can be used as a spot treatment too, but eh, my personal results for that method were also pretty average. i was annoyed that it doesn't do anything at all to draw out blackheads, because that's what clay is supposed to do - help draw out impurities. overall averageness, but would repurchase, because it's hard for me to find products that are even effective in the slightest.

I really like this mask!! I don't really use it often cause of the price but if I got a really big or red and blotchy pimple this tames it. It doesn't work for me over night like the commercial & some other reviews claim, but maybe 2 or 3 applications for the problem to be gone. If they mean you notice a difference overnight, then yes, I guess that's true. This even helps with scars. Great product.

This is the only product from proactiv that I still use. I used proactiv for 2 years, and it DID work, but what I started to notice was that it just kind of stagnated my skin at one point. I didnt get any MORE zits, but the ones I still had did not go away. So I stopped using the 3 step, and am still looking for something more natural, and without BP.
However, the mask is my lifesaver. Just last night I developed a zit on the side of my lips AND inside of my lips a bit. Needless to say, it HURT ... and since I am a musician I need my lips. So I put this on at night, and today it is literally half the size. It is not gone, but it is less red, less irritated and best of all, it isnt painful, like some zits can be. I am confident if i use it tonight and tomorrow night it will be gone for good. One of their only reliable products.

I tried the 3-Step Pro active system years ago and i really wanted to like it but it did not worked for me. It dry my skin horribly and it did not do anything for my acne. However i remembered trying this mask and loving it. I have been getting a lot of hormonal acne lately again and decided to purchase this mask. It is amazing. It helps tighen my skin, and reduce the red spots on my acne. I have been using it all over my face a few times a week. It has not dried me out and my skin is looking much better. Now that I have rediscover this mask, i think i will keep buy it.

I absolutely love this product! I've stopped buying the 3-step system because I keep breaking out but whenever I do have pimples I put the mask on over night and they are completely gone in the morning! This mask is better than any spot treatment I've ever used!
It does make my skin dry but that's easily fixed with a moisturizer.

I don't feel like this mask does anything. The original 3 step products are pretty awesome, but this one doesn't really do it for me. The active ingredient is sulfur, as opposed to benzoyl peroxide in the other products. Maybe my zits don't respond to sulfur. Also, it takes FOR-E-VER to dry. (Don't try to put it on right before bed)

this actually worked really well. usually I used it as a spot treatment overnight, and sometimes I'd go for the full mask. This is the only part of Proactive;s system that worked for me. If you can buy this mask alone, I would buy it again, yes :)

This is more like a spot treatment and for me, it works like nothing else; trust me, I've tried just about everything out there. They really shouldn't call this a mask because I could see why people would complain about the the dryness. I would suggest to use just on the trouble spots at night before bed. It's my HG!

I was afraid this was going to dry me out, but I'm glad I tried. I dampened my face with water (several times) then applied this mask. It felt wonderful and didnt irritate my skin. I washed my face after few minutes, definitely didnt leave it on for 10. After I washed my face, my face felt really clean but not stripped. I will do this mask at least once a month.

This is the only component of the Pro Activ system I still use. I use it about once a week and instantly notice a difference. This is a great product to keep pores refined and control oil. It is fairly difficult to wash off after it's dried, but I just use a gentle toner afterwards and this takes care of any leftover residue.

this is my hg spot treatment and mask all in one.
overall rating= 5, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS MASK i can put it all over my face and i can use it as a spot treatment. Its very good at reducing the size of my pimples, reducing the redness and just making my pimples disappear in a matter of days in general. When i use it as a mask it is very good at bringing my impurities, such as black heads, to the surface to the point that after the second time i use the mask i have no more blackheads on my nose.
Price= 5 it's expensive for someone like me who uses this product everyday. I use this as a spot treatment everynight for any potential pimples as well (im paranoid what can i say?) but, if you only want to use it once a week as a mask, for 70g or 2.5 oz for about 30$ (thats in CAD by the way) its not TOO bad... it'll last you about 4-5 months?
Packing quality= 5 bcause it is awesome. it doesn't come in a jar so there is no way that the mask can dry out. It's in a tube form so it's more hygenic in that you take what you need and reduce the amount of bacteria that go into the rest of the product. because it is in a tube form, there is less spillage.
Would i buy this again? HECK YEA! this is a lifetime hg product for me. if this were ever discontinued i would cry... for many many many years.

I actually really like this product. I don't use the ProActiv system anymore, I use an oral antibiotic and a retin-a cream, but I still use this for when a pimple pops up. Don't expect it to make your pimple magically disappear, but it really does bring down the inflammation and makes it smaller. I use this all the time, and it really does work well.

I believe a lot of people tend to misuse this product or just don't understand how it works. Do not expect a miracle when it is used as a spot treatment - the active ingredient is sulfur and sulfur is an anti-inflammatory. So when it is used as a spot treatment and left on pimples overnight, what it'll do is to help reduce inflammation i.e. reduce redness and swelling, not make your zit 'magically' disappear the very next day (although sometimes it may for me ^-^). It will just treat your zit. Some days it does great for me, but some days it doesn't. Some of my friends say it does amazing for them.

As well as being an anti-inflammatory, sulfur is also an oil-absorber. Its a clay mask so I use it 2 to 3 times a week on my whole entire face for a good deep-cleansing as well as helping with excess oil (cause I have oilyyy skin). Use it after a good exfoliant because what that'll do is unclog your pores so when the mask is applied after, it'll penetrate your pores. Leave it on for about 10 to 15 minutes til its dried up and then wash off thoroughly with warm water. As you're washing, the mask will take with it any excess dirt left in your pores (hence the deep-cleanse). It is ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT to moisturize after using the mask cause it'll dry out your skin from the sulfur. Leaving your skin dry will cause your glands to over-produce oils to compensate for dryness and we all know excess oil will enlarge pores and bring about blackheads =P For those with dry skin, I don't recommend using this that often on your whole entire face.
I loveeee waking up the next day after using the mask on my whole entire face cause my skin feels really smooth and evened-out. It is pretty expensive, ~$32CAD for 2.5oz but it does last really long cause a little bit goes a longgg way.

It's a great spot treatment for pimples and zits. I usually use it overnight and it nicely shrinks my small pimples, and the next morning it looks a lot better. This doesn't really work for cystic acne, and mainly only works for small pimples/zits. I wouldn't recommend using this for your entire face because it's really drying, it can cause peeling if you use it on other parts of your face that doesn't have acne. Overall, this product is great, it's creamy and thick (which I like). I'm running out so I need to buy more ;D

I use (and am very happy with) Pro Activ's 3-Step-System. Now that I'm mostly clear, I just have comedones on my cheeks - not many, just a few. When I started the system a few years ago, I tried out the mask (thin layer on T-zone, left on for 10 minutes and washed off). However, I always found that my T-Zone tended to get an increase in comedones every time I used this, so I stopped, and completely cleared up. I tried it out again recently (I was trying to clear up a very stubborn hormonal pimple on my cheek), and after a month of using this weekly, I'm ready to give it up again. I really think that this mask is the cause. However, I do find this (usually) works as a spot treatment, although I'm not 100% certain it's the mask. I think I may just stay away from this altogether.
