SSC's acne line has saved my face. It has kept my skin clearer than even a dermatologist's products did. I have been using several of their products for years now. This is hands-down the absolute BEST cleanser I have ever used, and trust me, I have used MANY. It does a fantastic job of thoroughly cleansing my oily, acne-prone skin, and never dries me out. Sure, it has a slightly funny smell and sometimes may sting a bit, but that's a small price to pay for such a powerful yet gentle cleanser. It does a great job at keeping my pores clear (mine can use all the help they can get), especially when I leave it on for a few minutes for an extra dose of exfoliation. If you wash twice daily, it can become a bit expensive though, so when I read somewhere that Neutrogena's Pore Refining Cleanser is similar in effectiveness but much cheaper, I tried it. I'm on my third tube already, it's a great cleanser, and way cheaper. It too has glycolic acid, but it also has scrubbies in it. I still prefer SSC's Glycolic Cleanser though, because Neutrogena's can be a little drying at times. So if you have acne-prone skin that dries out easily, definitely try SSC's cleanser!

I love this product. I had always used a cleanser followed by a toner and my skin never really stayed clear very long. If your cleanser is doing it's job, then a toner is not needed. I use it twice a day. If I get a kit and the Acne Clearwash is in it then I will alternate and use that in the morning and the Glycolic Cleanser at night. Wouldn't use anything else to wash my face. Stay away from soaps!!!

Ok, I couldn't resist ordering this after reading the reviews and watching Jennifer Flavin Stallone promoting this cleanser on HSN. I've been faithfully using it for a month now, and I'm convinced. This really is a great cleanser! I have tried so many lines and even though this is one of the less expensive lines I've used, the results have far exceeded my expectations. First, this throughly cleanses my oily-combo skin without stripping and I definitely get the brightning effect of the glycolic acid. The best news -- my breakouts have decreased dramatically! Now, I know it has to be this because I haven't changed anything else in my routine.

I loved this product. It really cleaned my oily skin. It smelled fine. It also helped my face from breaking out! I totally recommend this product. The price is high, but a little goes a long way. It's best to get it on auto-ship from HSN. I love Serious Skin Care!

I wanted to like this product after hearing all the good reviews. However, it stung my skin immediately after apply it. Plus it also said to leave it on for a few mins for a more deep clean? I wanted to wash it off ASAP! Also you apply this to a dry face and use a wash cloth to get it off. I prefer wetting my face and a cleanser that foams or suds up, but that is a personal preference. I have oily/combo skin which is prone to breakouts so I thought this would work. It also dried out my skin as well after using for 1 week day and night. I also didnt care for the smell and like another reviewer said, it did smell oddly like Elmers glue. I've also tried other Glycolic items in this line and they simply burn my skin too much to reccommend. Will not repurchase. Have found Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti- Wrinkle Anti Blemish cleanser that works for me!

I love this cleanser so much that I have it on autoship -- and then my mother ships it to me in Shanghai! Sounds a bit silly but it's true. I've been living and working in Shanghai for the past 4 years. Usually make a trip back home every quarter, but it's been a bit busy lately and I ran out of my Serious Skincare Glycolic Cleanser about a month ago.
Dropped by the department stores as Shanghai is now a very modern city with almost every major high end cosmetics and skincare available (more choice than the US I feel because they also have a lot of Japanese and Korean brands that aren't yet well known in the US)
At either case, a friend recommended Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser since I ran out of my Glycolic cleanser. Nevermind the fact that it's $$$, it made me break out! I've got serious combination skin and felt that my face went back to the problem way it used to be prior to discovering Serious Skincare.
Happy to announce that my mother shipped it over to me. Technically, that means it's now twice as expensive if you factor shipping, but it's so worth it.
For those who feel it's drying, I can see where they're coming from. The first few weeks when I first started using the product, I remember that it used to dry the area around my nose and mouth...but actually, after a few weeks I noticed a significant improvement in my skin. With the right moisturizer, the dry patches went away.
I always receive compliments on my soft skin. I've got a mild skin condition called "keratosis pilaris"...if you've ever seen people with little red unsightly bumps on their arms, that's what I've got. Used to have a tiny tiny bit on the sides of my cheeks as well. Using a glycolic cleanser really really helps minimize the appearance of it on the arms...and completely cleared up the cases on my cheeks.
I'm sure individual results may vary depending on skin types. But if you're like me and have combination skin or feel that your face isn't as smooth as it can be despite exfoliating and using expensive department store products, then give Serious Skincare's Glycolic cleanser a try.
In terms of complaints about the packaging...I was sold on this product before they re-designed their packaging. Now I'm happy to see that they've significantly improved it. Comes in a nice bottle now in a soft blue color.
I work in the retail industry, so believe me when I say packaging shouldn't matter if you come across a product that works for you. Most of the money you spend on department store products are supporting the supermodel ads in magazines and the super nice packaging complete with inserts, shiny boxes and nice bottle. Don't believe the hype!
Hope you find this useful!

I will look no further for a cleanser. i had been looking for a cleanser which would not dry out my 30 something skin. this cleanser left my face feeling so soft. i use this with SSC 2 million IU vitamin A cream and I don't have to worry about dry skin any more. i have been using this product for about 3-4 years and its great! My brother accidentely brushed against my face the other day and was shocked. He said, My god your skin is so soft!!!!!! i was so pleased!
he wanted to know what i use so he could buy some for his wife(he said her skin was like sandpaper!) only suggestion for this product is not to use around the eyes.

This is a good product; really cleans your face; removes all the makeup. I can use it in the summer; but it's too drying in the winter. Seems to diminish the size of my pores, but that could be wishful thinking. Cheap packaging. Too bad you have to spend the high $$ for shipping and have the unfortunate experience of dealing with HSN to get it!

Not that great. The cleanser didn't make my oily skin feel clean at all. The packaging was so cheap. I don't care for HSN much at all. I'll stick to QVC.

I really like this cleanser more than any of the million other cleansers I've tried. When I put it on my dry skin it doesn't sting but it removes everything. Once I rinse it off my skin feels very soft and clean. I also like that it doesn't have a fragrance. I just set up to have it on auto-ship which will save in the long run.

This stuff is pretty good, but any cleanser, I think would do. I just like the glycolic mask that HSN or serious skin care line has. This stuff is average..works good. Update; VERY DRYINg,,the more I use it the more my skin dries out, how awful!

This product is one of my staples. I've been using it daily for about six years. It leaves my skin super clean, it is terrific at removing makeup, and it does not dry my skin out. Plus I love that you don't have to wet your face before you put it on. Just squeeze some out of the container, put it on, and rinse it off. Great stuff.

I've been using Serious Skin Care for five years, and I am highly satisfied with the Glycolic Cleanser. It doesn't dry your skin, and it's great for removing make-up! If you have acne and you're fed up with other cleansers, give this one a try. (I started using this cleanser along with the Acne Treatment Pads. Try those, as well! I'm guaranteed that you will enjoy the other Serious Skin Care products. I'm currently using the Glycolic Facial Wipes, Buff Polish, and Dry-Lo.)

Bought this product for my (at the time 15 year old daughter) it did wonders for her acne ravaged face. The makers touted this as the basis for their entire line and so I tried it (I was 45 at the time) Immediately, I began getting comments from my friends and coworkers on how wonderful my skin looked.......I'm still using it and get it on autoship from Home Shopping. Great for acne but wonderful for wrinkles too!!!!!!!!!!

This and the Acne-wash cleaner from Serious Skin are my favourite cleansers, I use one in the am and one at nightime, you can leave the Glycolic cleanser on your skin for a few minutes for a deeper cleansing.

Many people were praising over this cleanser like La Mer Creme but this is far from it. The cleanser is packaged in poor, cheap container, it doesn't foam at all so its kind of like a cream cleanser, and worst of all...
Its smells so bad! Its smells like chemicals. I threw it all away. Some Serious Skincare products are great with this exception.

This is a great cleanser that leaves my skin soft and completely clean. I like to apply it and then remove it with a wash cloth for that squeeky clean feeling. Be careful using this around your eyes though because it'll make them sting.

GREAT cleansing. It left my face feeling like my pores had been powerwashed. It didn't irritate me either!
