Ok, I don't like many B&B products, only this one and Brilliantine. I mix the two together on days when I air dry my hair. My hair is long and fine and wavy, and prone to frizz. I agree with many other reviewers who advised using a light hand with this product. Really, you don't need very much. Used in combination with brilliantine, the effect is wonderful. Light hold ans a matte finish, with nicely defined waves and next to zero frizz. For comparison, Fekkai Luscious curl creme and Aveda Be Curly are both much oilier. I could see this being 'crunchy' but only if you used too much. I don't use this by itself though so maybe this effect I love is due to the mixing of the products. Neither one by itself is as good as they are in combination. On the Brilliantine label it says hair will look 'slept-in', and that's an accurate description of the effects. That's the look I love- I'm not going for polished and ultra-shiny and bouncy. This is a great 'bedhead' look, it has definition but isn't sloppy. Effortless.

Ugh. I don't know whether I have ever used such a pricey product I have detested so much. I have fine, curly hair. It's possible this stuff works well if you blow-dry your hair, but I let mine air dry. Looked and felt like Elmer's glue. Turned my hair into a crunchy, tangled mess once dry. Very, very disappointing.

This is a HG product for me. I have long, thick, (heavy) coarse asian hair. This is one of the very few products that will actually hold volume at the root for any amount of time. And it does it without making my hair stiff or yucky feeling. I use this when I blow out my hair and it still looks good the second day. A little dab works for all my hair, so a bottle lasts for quite awhile. Good thing too since it I think it is a bit expensive.

I can't live without this product. I have very, very straight hair and it's the only thing that will hold it or curl it. Totally changes the texture from soft to crunchy, which I like. Really does give you that massive hair look.

I have shoulder length fine hair. I use this with the leave in conditioner and my hair is full and fabulous all day. A small amount is plenty for me. I am hooked!

I love, LOVE this product. My hair is fine and this gives it a ton of volume and hold. Extremely easy to use - I just dab a dime size dollup on my palms and run the creme through my hair, blowdry, and voila! I have fabulous hair :)

I've been using this product for about a year, nearly every single day. I have lots of fine, stick straight, silky hair. Which is nice, except it usually lays flat against my head and won't curl for anything. This product is the only thing I've tried that will hold volume at the roots, and give my hair some texture. I can curl it with this product in, but usually I just work some through my wet hair and blow dry upside down. You need to find the right amount for your hair, though, because too much will look crunchy, and too little will not provide enough hold, but once you find the 'magic' amount, its HG material. I find the styling lotion isn't enough hold for me.

i have shoulder-length, stick-straight, thick asian hair and i really like this product. i use it mainly to impart manageability, which it does very well. hairwise, i'm pretty low-maintenance (usually just shower, then brush hair and pull back into a knot for work, OR blow dry with a round boar-bristle brush if i'm letting it down). if i don't use anything in my hair after showering, my hair tends toward VERY coarse texture as it dries, and becomes almost impossible to manage. this styling creme makes a huge positive difference in the way my hair looks! i find that my hair is softer, smoother, and stays where i want it. the product is light in texture, with almost no scent, and doesn't weigh my hair down. highly recommended. i'm neutral on the packaging.

This gives great body, and you only have to use a small amount (in fact, DON'T OVERDO....so don't be miffed about the price because one bottle goes a long way.
I love this stuff! I wear this when I want a guaranteed great hair day!

This doesn't do anything for me... but, then again most hair products don't work on me.

I have lots (I mean tons!) of thick, short, textured hair and I love this product. It gives me more styling and control options than any other gel or mousse I've tried. Too much can make your hair crunchy, especially if you air-dry your hair; but it does not flake and the crunchy-ness can be fixed. Alone, it gives my hair a nice matte finish and because it works great with other styling products, I can mix in any shine serum for a glossier effect.

Got a sample of this luckily as buyign this woudl had been a watse. I guess this works best for shorter hair cause this does zilch for my shoulder length hair. I have tried it 3 different times and it's like I put nothing in my hair. Doesn't make my hair feel bad, but doesn't do a damn thing so it's a useless product for my hair. I couldn't choose a price or packaging quality as this was a sample, but considering B&B products are pricey I assume it's in the (3) realm price.

I like Styling creme. I use a dab of it mixed in with my Halo gloss and put it in my towel dried hair evenly. It gives my choppy layers some choppiness and it smells great and leaves my hair groomed and nice. Love it.

love it! i have a pixieish cut with very fine straight hair and this stuff makes it seem like my hair is thick and full of body so it doesn't just stick to my head. i'm always trying new gunk on my hair and so far i love this stuff. doesn't even feel like there is anything in my hair but i know its working b/c my hair is great. hair is soft and not stiff and you really can't use too much! it says use a dime size (or is it quarter?) dollop and sometimes i use way more than that but that seems to work fine for me. it doesn't weigh hair down. its pricey but worth it. people with fine hair check this stuff out!!

Just discovered this through a sample last week. Man! I can't remember when my hair looked so thick and full! If you have fine hair, look into this product, great stuff!

2012: I often wash my wavy hair before going to bed and while it's soaking wet I use a quarter-size dollop and work from my ends towards my roots. This creme gives great grip and body for next-day styling (curling iron waves). i used to wake up with flat hair against my scalp and crazy waves and now i have tamed waves and body at the scalp! I'll keep this in stock forever.
2004:Ok, I've owned this two different times and I've had mixed feelings about it until now. Too much of this will make your hair feel dry and dirty. By that I mean your ends will be dryish and your hair will feel heavy like it needs a wash. Experiment with amounts, though, and you'll see it gives hair the right amount of grip for styling, or add enough hold for a soft, wavy look. If you have the time to experiment, go ahead with this. If not, save your money and use something else tried and true.

I apply this to my bangs then blow dry and it is one of the few things that takes the kinks out. Leaves the hair with a dry textured feel that works to keep my bangs from getting greasy and flattening out. Otherwise, I don't like it. Leaves hair crunchy if air dried, rough and bristly blow dried.

If you have very fine, thin hair I think you will like this a lot. If you have thick course or curly wavy hair I think you will hate this. It feels great in wet hair and seems very conditioning. As you blow dry or diffuse and scrunch you get a lot of body AND you also get very frizzy dry even courser hair. It also made the parts of my hair that I partially dried very crunchy and my hair looks and feels like horse hair. I will never ever use this sh*t again.

This product works great in my short, choppy layered cut and gives it more thickness, movement, and hold (I have thick Asian hair). You definitely need to use a hairdryer as well for positive results. I would not recommend this for someone with long, fine straight hair, or for someone who air dries there hair unless you have curly hair. I have used this product for 2 years and have had great results. Expensive but worth it. If you have short hair, the bottle will last you at least 6 months.

For those of us with thick/medium hair, I would not use this product. It provides no style, no control, no shine. It is especially ineffective in warm weather/humidity.
