I love this mineral veil. It makes my face very smooth and clean. No complains about it . I got it in a get started kit. I wouldn't repurchase it by its self because it is pricey but i would repurchase the get started kit.

I have been using this for almost a year now.
Pros
- Makes my skin appear smooth
- Minimises my pores (mine are humongous)
- Controls my oily skin a little
- Healthy ingredients
- Does not break me out

Cons
- It has a pink undertone, not great for minimising red skin
- I re apply this about 4 to 5 times day to keep my face matt enough
- Starts looking too 'cakey' the more you re apply it, For me- by the fourth application it starts looking cakey so not too bad i suppose.

Overall its ok, I just wish It would control oil just a little better.

This made a bit of a difference with how my makeup held up throughout the day, and the lady at the counter said it doesn't matter if you keep applying it and applying it all day.
I tried this, and it didn't get cakey or obvious at all!

The finish was so soft, and felt like I hadn't put anything on. My skin did appear less oily than usual, or atleast it didn't go oily as quickly as usual. As soon as I saw a shine I put this on, and tada all gone :)

I like this product a lot, actually. As a reviewer below posted, there's really not much to say about it other than that it's a super fine powder and comes in a few shades/finishes, such as regular, tinted, and featherlight (very light shimmers). I think the word "veil" works perfectly to describe this - it's very very light veil of powder that, depending on what foundation you use, is good for setting. I personally do not wear foundation, only concealer, so I use this to set my concealer as well as to add a light layer over my face to make blending my powder bronzer easier. The feather light version does blend out imperfections for me, but I like the feather light in the tinted version. The mineral veil tends to melt into your skin because it's so light and soft.

For someone who wants a super light setting powder, I would try this.. other than that, you might want to search for other options. Overall a nice powder for me

I don't really get why people even use this stuff. I thought it would work nicely as a setting powder to finish off my concealer/foundation, though I didn't notice a difference. It also has sparkles in it which twinkle like crazy in the sun, which I hate, because too many sparkles in foundation looks very cheap in my opinion. However, my mom loves this stuff and so do millions of other women. It's not terrible, but I don't notice a dramatic difference either.

not too much to say about this...

i got it with the starter set, so i didnt pay full price.

before i apply this over the foundation, the foundation looks a little cakey, but this makes it just perfect, and gives my skin a nice "soft" look.

would definately rebuy seperately!

UPDATE 11/5/11:
I dont use the BE foundation anymore-- i loved the coverage and staying power, but the color was just tooooooo cool-toned for me! i DO still use the mineral veil, however! i'd say it's turned out to be my favorite BE item! when i use liquid foundation i use a regular powder to set it, then apply blush and a highlighter, and then the mineral veil. it gives my skin a slightly blurred effect, like the blush was airbrushed on, almost. love it!

UPDATE 02/20/12: still loving this! i've tried it with every sort of MU and it works great! with liquid, i use a regular loose setting powder, then blush and contour, and then this over top to give everything a softened look. i'll re-buy this for sure when i run out, although its lasting me a LONG time!

I cannot beleive I have not reviewed this yet. HG HG HG! I love this stuff.
I have sensitive combo skin (NC30) that depending on the weather acts dry or can get too oily. I put my moisturizer on and then my foundaton or concealor depending on how much coverage I want or where I am going and then apply the mineral veil. After that I finish off with blush, eyeshadow etc. before no matter what I did my makeup would not last. it would slide off my face and disappear or be sitting on top of my skin waiting for me to make a mistake and it would smear on anything that would get close to my face. After I have started using mineral veil I can apply my makeup in the morning or for a party and it stays on all night. I do not have to look in the mirror once. I am a mom of 2 toddlers and I just do not have the time to sit and apply a million things to my face once a day forget checking ten times in a day and retouching.
I have taken one lippie off only for the packaging. Its jsut so messy. first the sticker in the container that is supposed keep the product in the bottom came off so half my product is in the top on the container and I have to pour some out onto the lid to use it.I also cannot use this stuff without getting some on my counter or sink. I wish BE would change to their new click and twist containers so I remove only as much I need. other than that I will not be without my mineral veil ever

I have this product both at home and in a "on-the-go" limited edition version. I really like it. At home, i use it as a finishing powder and it is perfect, blends very well and easily as long as you have the right brush. When i'm out and in need of a touch up, i use the travel version and lightly dust my t-zone. never cakey, always does the job well.

I bought this because several of my friends swear by it. Honestly, I don't really see what the hype is all about. I don't notice a difference after putting this on. I just feel like I'm putting more unnecessary powder on my face. The only thing that I like about it is that it gets rid of the shininess. I'll probably not buy this again.

Used this with my bare mineral foundation but doesnt seem to last all day (Both the mineral veil and foundation) so I switched to liquid foundation (NARS). I still use it to set my foundation. I think its alright and it does give a slightly nice finish but wont last long, but Im just using it for the sake of using it up.

UPDATE:
I bought a small jar of make up forever HD microfinishing powder, transferred it into the mineral veil container and voila a perfect concoction for me.

I have applied this with EVERY kind of brush/ sponge/ applicator I can think of and even with the LIGHTEST hand etc it ALWAYS makes my skin look SOOOOO dry I HATE it :-/ I have heard the hydrating mineral veil is better but it just makes my skin look scaly and YUCKY! BLECH!

I bought this mineral veil along with the BE mineral powder a few years ago. Although I've stopped using the powder, I continue to use this on top of my laura mercier mineral powder. I absolutely love the airbrushed flawless-face effect it gives! I gave it four lippies because the packaging can be quite messy. Although I love this veil, I may try other mineral setting powders in the market when I run out.

Sub-par as a setting powder, not finely milled enough, but nice to have as a backup to MUFE HD & Laura Mercier setting powders if I'm broke and run out of the good stuff! Wildly overpriced, MAC's setting powder has about double the product for $6 or so less. (Not to mention it performs MUCH better). This mineral veil is like the boy you take to prom to appease your parents, but you really want to sneak away with MUFE HD setting powder. The name and product puts on a good show, but you really just want the guy/product that makes you feel/look hot.

Don't like it. And it is way over priced for such bad quality, why are they charging people for the name and advertising! Get some real minerals like lucy minerals, sassy, silk naturals, everyday etc etc etc!!!!

I dont like this stuff, its blotchy in application (not fine powder), and makes my face ashy, not only that, changes the color of my foundation. I may try the tinted mineral veil, but I would rather buy Clinique setting powder, its much better. To be honest, I dont think this set my bare mineral foundation well, it made it more blotchy. so back it goes. Im just not impressed.

This came in a bare escentuals limited edition set I got off of QVC. I probably wouldn't have bought it on my own. It is helpful when I feel like my face is starting to get a shine. I tend to use it mostly in the t-zone. I don't think there is really anything special about it though.

It's a good setting powder, not great, after some hours I find I still have to retouch my t-zone as it gets shiny. Like others have said, it is messy, but you learn to work with it. It does do a good job of setting my makeup & giving a somewhat airbrushed effect. I have combo/oily skin & NC35 & I do find that it leaves a little bit of a powdery look to my skin, so I usually finish it off with a spray of Fix+. Overall it is a good product, I got it in the starter set, and am not sure I would have purchased alone otherwise. I would recommend, but not sure I will repurchase as there are so many other setting powders out there that I want to try.

I have a HUGE problem with controlling oil throughout the day. I love mineral veil because it does such a great job of getting rid of any oil on your face. I like to That is travel with a small container of it to re-touch my foundation throughout the day so that I do not look like an oil slick! I bought a huge jar of it for around $30.00 and have had it for 6 months with about half still left. If you are someone who is really oily, though, re-applying the mineral veil throughout the day is a must! If that is something you do not want to be bothered with during the course of the day then I would skip purchasing this product.
