Okay, wonderful for my break out prone skin and clear it. Simple ingredients. A secret....Johnson's baby wash has almost the EXACT same ingredients and is much cheaper.

i really wanted to find a great simple non irritating cleanser in this product - but my skin just does not like it. i've used it several times over the last few months thinking that maybe it hasn't been this that breaks me out, but i always end up with a few new pimples after just two nights of using.
i find that it leaves my skin feeling filmy and tight after washing, and then in the morning i'm greasy. i have combination/dry skin, so for me to be straight up greasy is very rare.
there is something in this product that does not agree with me! i have yet to find out what it is exactly, but i know that i will be discontinuing usage. i would warn those with very sensitive skin to stay away.

LOOOOVE this face wash. Have not felt this way about a face wash in a long time. This is so gentle yet effective...takes off my makeup better than anything I've used in a long time. Is not drying, smells fine, and is affordable. Will definitely repurchase.

It's funny that after switching from Aveeno Ultra Calming Foaming Facial Cleanser to this, that the breakouts from my skin seemed to go away without me applying any kind of special acne product. This cleanser is gentle and not drying at all and I feel like my face gets more clean than with the Cetaphil. The only weird thing is that is smells exatcly like Johnsons Baby Shampoo; probably because it's obviously made by the same company. The bottom line is that this cleanser is wonderful and I would definately repurchase!

I bought this because of good reviews on MUA. I was desperate for something to calm down my rosacea, and since this is mild I thought it would fill the bill. However, it turned out to be incredibly irritating to my skin for some reason. Even though I rinsed my face off very throughly, my skin started stinging and burning almost immediately afterward, so badly I felt like scratching myself raw. I used the same moisturizer I always do, so I can only think it was a reaction to the cleanser.

I know a lot of people use Purpose cleanser with great success, but I'm just that one person in a thousand who has a sensitivity to it. I'm currently using it up as a hand wash, but even that burns if my skin is at all dry or chapped. Weird.

This cleanser is my HG and I never say that about any cleanser! Every cleanser has made my face WORSE I have tried everything!
I have that skin thats dry, yet acne prone and yet somewhat oily just a little bit on my forehead.
I couldn't find anything, If i used something for acne it made my face flake like crazy, if I used something moisturizing I broke out like crazy. I couldn't win.
I heard about this stuff everywhere so I caved in and its the best decision ever! My skin hasn't behaved so well in forever! It cleans off all my makeup insanely well! I use a face brush because I use foundation like colorstay and it removes everything, even waterproof mascara.
And its actually cleared up some of my acne! Its been awesome product. Its a bit drying at first but nothing major just moisturize if you have really dry skin like me and your going to be fine. Dont wait like me its seriously an amazing product and its cheap you cant beat all these great qualities!

At first I wasn't sure about this product. It actually seemed a little bit drying for me the first few days I started using it but, then again I had been using cream cleansers before this product. I even already had in mind, the next cleanser I was going to buy to try out. Well, now I am almost done with the first bottle and I am definitely going to repurchase this!!! It does a great job of removing make-up and making my skin feel very clean, without stripping my face AT ALL. I am prone to breakouts and this seems to help keep my breakouts under control even better than most cleansers for acne skin I have used in the past. I am not going to mess with a good thing, so no more switching cleansers every few months This is THE cleanser for me!!

I adore this cleanser. I've had MANY cleansers and this I will always buy. It is gentle, it doesn't dry out, break out, or irritate my sensitive skin. It is also cost effective. It is perfect to use if you are on a special skin treatments, like Retin A Micro, which I am. I highly recommend this cleanser.

I've been using this since June, and I love it! I've been struggling with adult acne, and have been going through trial and error to find the right combination for my skin (my skin is sensitive and I can't afford to get pricey department store brands or see a dermatologist regularly right now). I've found that "natural" products tend to give me better results.

I use Purpose cleanser at least twice a day and follow it with Yes to Tomatoes moisturizer. If I start to get a pimple, which has been rare (yay!) I dab on Burt's Bees Targeted Spot Treatment and the pimple doesn't even get the chance to form. Very happy with results!

I really do love this cleanser! I may never buy a makeup remover again, because this does the job so well. For daily eye makeup (I haven't tried it yet on hardcore eye makeup), it takes off almost everything. It works so well, and has no smell whatsoever. A slight hint of a soap smell, that's it. It leaves me feeling very clean and fresh without drying out my skin (and I have pretty dry skin).

I agree with other reviewer that this cleanser is gentle and won't dry out the skin. Overall I like it. The pump is very good for dispense cleanser as well.

However I am using both Purpose and SebaMed face & body cleanser and I like SebaMed a little better because its fresh scent and cleans a little better than Purpose.

I think Purpose would be great for winter

I love this cleanser :] its so gentle on my skin but still does the job of removing any excess makeup left behind from my wipes. It keeps my skin clean and breakout free! Whenever I decide to try something new, this is the cleanser that I always end up going back to. I have dry to normal skin and have trouble with a lot of cleaners drying out my skin but this one never dries my skin out. It was pretty cheap too, I think it was around $5 at Walmart. This is an awesome cleanser that you can never go wrong with [:

I started using this about a year ago because my dermatologist told me to, so that it wouldn't irritate my skin. I LOVE it, it's never made me break out and it isn't too drying or leaves a residue or anything. I however, don't like the cleansing bar as a facial cleansers because it's too drying, but as a body cleanser i like it.

My skin has been acting up a lot lately in cystic under the skin blemishes that were hard to treat. The Noxzema blemish pads that I usually use didn't work this time. I was at my wits end. I had no idea what cleanser to use. There were so many in the drugstore and super centers to choose from. I wasn't sure what acne cleanser to try. I decided to pick this up because it's a gentle cleanser, and I'd heard such great reviews. (This has the same ingredients as the Clean & Cleanser sensitive skin cleanser, but I couldn't find that anywhere, so I picked this up.) This is quite pricey, but the container with a pump is nice. This didn't work miracles right away, but it's slowly but surely calming my skin down and helping to clear it up. (I actually switched one night to the Aveeno Clear Complexion bar and woke up with a forehead full of small itchy irritated bumps that I'm still trying to clear up! I immediately went back to this, and it's helping.) This is a nice basic no frills cleanser suitable for all skin types. It's very basic and contains no acne medications. I'm glad that I didn't choose a medicated cleanser because my skin is so sensitive and I didn't want a repeat of the reaction that I got my using Noxzema last fall. I have been using this and the Clean & Clear Persa 10 Gel treatment as needed. My only issue with this is that is can be quite drying. (The area around my nose is prone to getting very dry and developing flakey dry patches. I was prescribed cream for this before.) This cleanser dried out my skin (which helped with oil control), but it really caused the dry patches around my nose to flare up. Moisturize frequently with this. Other than that, this is a really great basic cleanser. I can't compare to Cetaphil because it's been 2 years since I've used their liquid cleanser (I had excellent results with it), but this one is worth trying out and great for sensitive skin. I will continue to be patient and use this.

I don't hate this product, but I don't really like it either. I originally bought this a few years ago in the wintertime, when my feels is so dry it feels like it's going to crack. I thought, well, it's gentle, it won't dry my face out! Uh, wrong. It did. It did what a good cleanser should do in that it removed all my makeup and left my face feeling clean. However, it is just really drying. I've started using it again now that it's summer, and if I follow it with a moisturizer, it's fine. If I wait just a few minutes too long though, my face feels so tight and dry that it's uncomfortable. I really thought that the "gentle" claim wouldn't leave my face feeling so stripped, but it does. It's fine in the summer, but my skin is way too dry for an ordinary foaming cleanser in the winter.
Sidenote, I love using this to clean my makeup brushes!

HG. I use this everyday. I love it so much. It cleans my skin so well. If I'm wearing a full face of makeup + sunscreen, I wash with this twice to make sure my skin is clean. I don't know if that's what you're technically supposed to do, but it works for me without drying me out at all.

I cannot say enough good stuff about this cleanser. <3 it so much.

ETA: I forgot to bring Purpose with me on vacation once and bought Clean & Clear Sensitive Facewash at the pharmacy. I happened to like it better, so I am no longer using Purpose. They are basically the same, though. ;)

I love this product because it is a straight up- no frills cleanser. It removes dirt, oil, and makeup. There is no funky of overly perfumed smell and it doesn't cause a reaction with my skin. I have oily/acne prone skin and about a year ago I had severe acne everywhere on my face. My doctor prescribed medicine to use and told me to find a gentle cleanser that wouldn't aggravate my skin. This is what I have used ever since. It keeps my skin clean and it's just right. I can only find the big bottles where I live and it runs around $10, but that size lasts around 3 months so it's definitely worth it.

Very gentle and cleanses well. This is all I ask of a cleanser but it has been surprisingly hard to find! Now that I found this one I will be using it forever.
