I almost fell for this fragrance after watching qvc or hsn. They hyped it up SO much that I had my credit card in my hand and was ready to order before I stopped myself and requested a sample from Philosophy directly. Not sure what all the fuss is about - just a regular fragrance - does smell clean - but I wear fragrances for a total different reason. Soap makes you smell clean without dropping thirty bucks.

Yes it smells good, but it is nothing special. I much prefer Amazing Grace over this one!!! I'll use up the bottle I have because it is kind of crazy expensive...but then when I want to smell like this I will dust myself with baby powder and save a few dollars!

Love the scent, just wish it lasted longer on me. Layering with the lotions does help a bit.

On me this smells like I work in a Laundromat and just came out of a Tide Bath. Why would anyone want to smell like a washing machine? I don't get it.

Yuk. This went on nicely - it smelled clean and soapy.
Now it smells like Ivory soap and corn flakes.
I think this didn't jive with my chemistry, to say the least.
I've not been impressed with any of Philosophy's fragrances...

This was a huge disappointment! I wanted to love it, and I love clean fragrances, but this stuff smells literally like SOAP. I mean basic, generic soap. I think Ivory actually smells better. Not what I was expecting at all, so I'm going to return it. Too bad. This is my first Philosophy fragrance, too, and now I'm kind of leery to try another.....

Because fragrance is such a personal thing, I usually refrain from writing reviews about it, but this is one I just cannot say enough about! I absolutely love this scent! I got the 4oz. bottle for Christmas - and I'm so glad! I use it all the time and get so many compliments, but the main thing is, that I'm enchanted with it. My favorite scent in the whole world is clean laundry and this is the closest, lasting, fragrance I've found, to it.
*And yes, I'm aware that CLEAN makes a scent called "Fresh Laundry" but I straight out refuse to pay $75 for 2.14oz that doesn't even last until I'm out the door.*

What a ripoff. And the box is well marked as Soap Water. It lasted 5 minutes, if at all, and it smells like baby Johnson. Not to mention it's waaaay overpriced.

I finally caved and took a whiff of Pure Grace during a Sephora browse session -- and I was hooked! I am absolutely loving this right now. The scent is so clean and refreshing; I can't stop smelling my wrists!
Like others, I just wish it had more staying power. I just bought the PG shower gel so I'm hoping the layering effect will help keep the smell around longer....

I love it. It's clean and fresh and wonderful. It's mid-priced, not as expensive as the Chanel perfumes I use a lot of, but not as cheap as it could be, considering it doesn't last long. Still, I see myself owning this, along with Amazing Grace, forever.

How I love Pure Grace...I love it's simplicity...which ironically, makes it really, really sexy. I smells good as soon as you spray it on your skin and it smells even better after a few hours. I'm finishing up my first bottle and since I LOVE it soo much...I have two more in stock. Note that I bought the first bottle a month ago :) I could bathe on this scent. :)
on a side note..it's very man-friendly. My male friends love this :)

As a fan of Philosophy's Amazing Grace, I could not resist trying Pure Grace as soon as I heard about it.
How to describe the scent? Soap and water *clean*. It's not too floral or musky to me -- just clean-smelling like sheets dried on the clothesline in the spring.
I'll be honest -- on the first whiff I thought it smelled like Ivory soap. But after spraying it on and wearing it, I came to adore the fresh, clean smell. There's something very comforting about it to me, so it's one of my favorite every-day fragrances. I gave it 5 lippies because it meets my needs for a fragrance that isn't too strong (or potentially offensive to sensitive noses) for working closely with others at my job.
I hope Philosophy expands their product offerings for Pure Grace because I would love it head to toe anyway I can get it.

I've got Pure Grace in the solid (which I love), so I purchased the EDT thinking that it would be the same fresh, soap and water fragrance. Um, no. It smells like something that taxi drivers spray in their cabs to smell better. I love Amazing Grace and this is supposed to be a 'softer, crisper interpretation'. Somehow I struggle to see the association apart from the lovely bottle.

A superb everyday fragrance that has quickly become a HG when I need a very low key scent. This smells EXACTLY as described--of "Ivory but better" type soap and water--that's it. Layer the shower gel, lotion, and fragrance spray. Carry the new roll-on perfume oil for touch ups, and this will last for most of the day. PG is perfect any time of the year with a crisp white shirt and jeans. It can certainly be worn by men, but doesn't smell particularly masculine. I've heard that Pure Grace is a popular fragrance among nurses. This one should slip under the radar of even the most strident anti-scent office worker.

This is my fave of all scents! I even bought the huge bottle from QVC. I love it's clean, just out of the shower fragrance. I wear it all day and when I get home from work, I refresh myself. The fragrance is very soothing and calming. I am a teacher and every time I wear this students tell me I smell "so fresh" "so pretty". It is very cool when 4 year olds notice!

This smells like soap! At least on me, it does. I wouldn't ever wear this...had to give the rest away to my mother, who doesn't like it much either.

Here is an atypical review:
I am a 40 year old male, and I discovered Pure Grace while shopping for a gift for my wife. Although I ultimate bought her jewelry, the fresh scent of PG stayed with me. I ended up going back to the store to smell it, and took samples home a couple of times. Although I have become convinced that if you know the location of enough Sephora or Macys stores, you never need buy any perfume due to the samples, I ultimately bought it in the "perfume oil"--for myself.
Honestly, the fragrance doesn't do that much for my wife one way or the other, but she certainly doesn't mind, and didn't have a cow when she realized it was perfume. Instead, I find that I wear it for myself. It has a fresh, pleasant scent, and (hoping that I haven't merely fallen prey to advertising) I feel good when I wear it.
I obviously have no expertise to comment on the attributes of the perfume. Many reviewers say it lacks staying power. I was tempted to agree, as the scent seems to fade over a few hours, but I've learned that others can still smell it long after I no longer can. I would add that I am a doctor and that PG is definitely "hospital friendly".
The choice of perfumed oil was, for me, a matter of convenience. I don't want to carry a large bottle of perfume with me. The 0.27 roll-on container fits fairly inconspicuously into a man bag or laptop case. It seems to wear longer too, so if that is all that's keeping you away...
