This stuff works absolutely great for removing all kinds of make up in a very gentle way. The oily residue kind of bothers me though, so I won't be repurchasing.

I have combination skin so I was scard of this product at first. When I first used it, I thought it was very oily and thick, but after I dried my face with a dry towel, my face was slightly moisturized with the oils. As an addition, it's a great make up remover! Everything will just slide off your face, now I know what asians are so into those cleansing oils, it's so much better than regular make up removers. Also, it smelled great too! It was just a nice natural sweet scent. I felt it was really cheap and it didn't last very lone, but it was a great product. I would totally recommend and buy again. It might not for people who don't like the oily feel at first, because it is a bit overwhelming and heavy. But the great thing about lush products is that if you purchased it from a store and if it doesn't work for you, you can always return it.

This is the best cleanser I've ever used. I tend to wipe damp cotton wool over the bar - I imagine applying bar directly to face would be messy! It's like a lighter, more portable version of Ultrabland. Fits easily into a shampoo bar tin. I wear liquid eyeliner each day and it takes it all off and leaves my skin feeling fresh and soft afterwards.

Whilst I try different cleansers form time to time, this is my fail safe deep cleanser. It`s so gentle, yet removes makeup really thoroughly, takes off waterproof mascara in a trice and leaves lashes really silky. Even better it doesn`t clog pores , and leaves skin moist and glowing. The way I use it is to run a piece of cotton wool under hot water, and then rub over the babyface so it melts the cleanser. I then just smooth over my face. Love it!

I thought for the longest time I had oily skin, but I think its just normal but prone to breakout. I intially got this as my makeup remover (which it does very well!! ) but have started using this daily for my face. I spread it all over my face before hoppping in the shower, then I let it soak in thoroughly, and before I get out of the shower, use a gentle cleanser to wash it off. Its only been a few days but my face really does feel softer. Its very soothing, especially at the end of the day when your face is just aching, I just give it a good rub w/ baby face and I can feel it calming down. I would defintely repurchase this again.
ETA: AFter a while this started clogging my pores up like crazy and made my face look splotchy.

Baby face is HG for me! Can take off everything off my face, and make it soft as well. It is essential to use a face cloth and WARM water with it. Those who get a greasy layer left may be due to using cold water, that won't remove baby face properly. It's just so efficient, I have one small round tin of baby face for everything, including waterproof make up. I love love love love love it!
In response to everyone who said they had breakouts: firstly if you have severe acne or spots then this isn't the product for you anyway. But if you usually have intermittant pimples and you found this brought them out, it may be because you're smearing the bar straight onto your face each time. It is what the SA says but if you think about it, taking your gross spot excess oils onto the bar, letting it brew bacteria and then putting it back onto your face is likely to cause spots. Try giving the surface of the bar a quick rinse in between using it or use water over your face as some others have described. They tell you to use it dry but I reckon with water it drags less, on top of that it doesn't leave the film over your skin which would be contributing to pore clogging=spots.
In response to those who didn't like the packaging, there is a tin you can get with it to hold :)
*update* I'm giving it an extra lippy cos I've found it amazingly effective on my eye make up as well, leaves the undereyes totally clean whereas some removers smear mascara around a bit leaving a grey stain, this clears it right up!
*second update* I would advise using a muslin cloth rather than a face flannel. Muslin is like a mesh net and literally scrapes the product off (but gently) so as well as giving light exfoliation, it gets everything off.

OK, I can't resist writing an early review of this cleanser, even though I can EASILY see this breaking me out in a couple days. Anyways, I have Sahara dry skin--absolutely nothing is rich enough for me. That said, this cleanser takes off all of my makeup and leaves a moist film on my face. Now I only have to apply a drop or two of jojoba oil as a moisturizer, instead of my previous routine of jojoba followed by one or two applications of Cetaphil's moisturizing cream (which I believe is meant for the body--my skin is that dry). My skin feels soooo amazingly soft and looks pretty good so far, though I've only used this three times. No breakouts so far, it's super cute, it smells pleasant (reminds me of the smell of Weleda's skin food--an orangey herbal smell) and it wasn't overly expensive. Two out of three times that I've used this, I've followed up with Lush's Angels on Bare Skin scrub and a wipedown with a warm washcloth to try and get as much of the oil off as possible. Again, given the texture of this stuff, I will be pretty surprised if this doesn't break me out, but my skin may just be dry enough to handle it. Oily and Combination skinned girls should really use this with caution, if at all. Lush's Coalface cleanser would be a much better choice, IMO. I will edit if indeed this breaks me out.

*EDIT* Am still using Babyface every day i have worn makeup, despite it now costing almost £4 per bar. I do feel peeved about the cost but have not found anything of this quality to rival it and still love the smell and texture. I does take me a couple of cotton pads to remove my makeup so maybe not as quick as Ultrabland but still great.
My skin: sensitive, dry, flaky, prone to eczema. My skin needs all the moisture it can get and cocoa butter is my favourite moisturiser. So was thrilled to find a cleanser that acutally cleanses containing no soap and containing cocoa butter! Moreover, even when my face is red and itchy, this does not exarcebate the problem. I can understand that for others with not so bad skin, this may feel greasy, but I cannot do without the film of moisture it leaves on my face. I love the smell, the look, that it is so natural and the minimal packaging.

I really like this product. It took some gettign use to at first. but now i know how to use it and, more importantly how to remove it. I think alot of people are under the impression that you use this like a normal soap and rinse it off with water but you don't. You need to use use a face cloth or a muslin cloth and warm water to remove it otherwise it just leaves a waxy film on your skin and cloggs your pores. Since using this my skin feels so clean and soft and any clogged pores are now super clean and clear. i follow this with Angels on bare skin and eau roma toner and my skin has never looked so good! THe down side to Lush products is the packaging, which is absolutely PANTS but i'm prepared to put up with it as the products seem to work so effectively and my skin looks great!

i am a long time user of lush products for my facial skin, and have been using a combo of coalface, enzymion, and ocean salt as my rountine for about 5-6 years now with excellent results. but over the past month, my normally oily skin has freaked out and i am switching things around a bit. i started using this a month ago as a more gentle way to remove make-up prior to cleansing. it works wonders for me, and leaves my skin feeling so smooth and supple. i just wet my face with warm water, rub babyface around my hands for a few minutes, then massage my face for about a minute or two. then i wipe my face gently with cotton pads or a washcloth then rinse and i have perfectly cleansed skin. my moisturizer, if i decide to use it, just glides on and sinks in. sometimes i don't feel the need to moistuize after this but when i do i use celestial. i love this little bar.

I used this several years ago. I used it about 3 or 4 times and then I left it on my sink. I don't understand this product. It smells lovely and looks cute, but it really did nothing for my face when it came to cleansing.

Baby face is very cute and smells lovely, and does remove makeup, but it left my normal/dry skin waxy and oily. My pores seemed to ooze oil--yuck! I used a warm washcloth and toner and that didn't help.
I will do as someone suggested and use it on my feet!

I recently bought my first bar of this and so far, so good.
I really only use it to take my make-up off but it does a wonderful job. I'd always used wipes before but this is far better. It takes it all off without the need to scrub and my skin feels lovely after.

I've yet to meet a Lush product that I didn't like, but this one actually may prove me wrong. I really wanted to like this, but after a few days of use, I was left with tons of clogged pores. My skin is normal to dry, but it's very sensitive. Maybe it just didn't agree with one of the ingredients (probably the cocoa butter). The scent of this product is lovely, it does a wonderful job at taking makeup off, and the first days I used this I loved how it left my skin, moisturized and baby soft (until the ugly clogged pores came along), but this one's just not for me. If you have sensitive skin, and you like a creamy, oil-based kind of cleanser, give Ultra Bland a try. That worked much better for my skin and never once broke me out or clogged my pores.

I've used pretty much all the Lush cleansers but I have to say this is probably my least favourite. You use this by warming / melting it in your hands (PLEASE don't wet it with water - - it's not a soap, it's a solid cleanser!!) and putting the resulting oils onto your face, then wiping with damp cotton wool. The smell of it is gorgeous, a light citrussy fragrance and it does get make up off and make you really clean, but for me it feels like it's leaving a residue of oil behind on the face which is not such a great feeling. Definitely don't like it as much as other Lush cleanser Ultrabland.

Took a while for the bar to work on my face... you have to get it really wet for the first use. After that - it goes on pretty well. If you have oily skin, I probably wouldn't recommend this...but I have normal to dry skin and I love it! I wet my face first, then I wet the bar of soap and lather by rubbing my hand together and then I rub the lather on my face... It takes make up off great......even waterproof m/u!!! What is even more wonderful is that you don't even need a moisturizer after using it! If you just pat dry your face with a towel (vs. completely drying it and wiping your face), it leaves your face with a slight moisturized feeling. I love this stuff!

This is a lovely cleanser, smells gorgeous and takes off all my make up and eye make-up. It's a shame that it doesn't come in something a bit more exciting than a plastic bag (!) and sometimes i do find it difficult to rub onto my face, but other than that it turns into an oily type texture on the skin which isn't that different to the eve lom cleanser. I have the eve lom one and would certainly think before forking out £40 when I can get something so similar for a few pounds!

Eh. The thing about lush melty products is that where do you store them?? Soap dishes?? I've got those for soap, and the counterspace of an airplane bathroom. Ziploc bags?? That's attractive. Tossed underneath the sink in the back of the "makeup I will probably never use but can't throw out yet" boxes?? Yeppers....why on earth would I try and get this stuff to warm up and melt on my face when I can use any number of products to do it in half the time, and twice as good? Only get this stuff if you're really into the whole Lush thing.

If you use it properly, you'll love this stuff (though it probably isn't for those with oily or oily-combination skin). What I love about this stuff is that it removes makeup (including eye makeup!!), cleanses and moisturizes in one step. I hate the "squeaky clean"/dry-feeling face that most soaps give, but this one is truly different. It doesn't feel like a soap and doesn't lather like one. In fact, it's more of a cream texture when it "melts." Massage it in, wipe off thoroughly with a warm wash cloth, and you're good to go. One "bar" has lasted me several months.
