I stopped using this stuff a week ago. I believe it was causing me these red PAINFUL zits. The smell makes me nauseous at times. I love the non-spf version though. I still use that at night.

Works well, does its job. I cannot, however, use it around my eyes. Like all neutrogena moisturizers, if I use it around my eyes it stings them all day. Other than that, it is great.

I have been using this face cream for years and I like it b/c it doesnt make my oily skin more oily or make me break out plus I love that it has SPF but I dont see any improvement in my skin as far as fine line and wrinkles. I am only 22 but i want sometime that will REALLY keep my skin young. If anyone have suggustion please let me know!! ...As a whole I would recommend this lotion :)

I've had an awesome experience w/ this facial lotion on my normal/oily combo skin. There's a bit of an alpha-hydroxy tingle but it's fine. This moisturizes without being too heavy for my oily parts & still adequately nurturing my dry parts (ie cheeks) which are sometimes prone to dryness & lines. This works well for me, so I would buy this again!

I really like this product. I was at an out-of-town conference and had forgot to pack moisturizer. The tiny drugstore in town did not have my usual Neutrogena Anti-Wrinkle SPF 15, so I bought this. I really do like it. I try all kinds of different and sometimes very expensive facial moisturizers, but my skin just really loves the Neutrogena brand.

I haven't tried this version yet. I just thought I should mention that they're is a cheaper equate (walmart brand) version of this. It doesn't really tingle at all, but the ingredients are mostly the same. When I run out I'm going to buy the neutrogena and give a better comparison.

This stung like crazy, and also made my face break out. As soon as I stopped using it, the breakouts ended. In addition, I don't think it provided a full SPF 15.

I love this stuff!! It made my skin smooth and look like I have powder on - I don't even wear makeup on my face during the day anymore. I must say that my skin is not sensitive or prone to breakouts, so I could see some people having a negative reaction, but it's definitely worth a try!

i was looking for and wanting to buy the sensitive skin formula version of this but i couldn't find that anywhere so i got this instead. i was excited about seeing the results since it claims to brighten skin, exfoliate, reduce acne, and lessen wrinkles. i'm 20 but i figured i would get a head start :) i didn't like the smell, it felt greasy on my skin and seemed to take a long to absorb. on the plus side it did make my skin feel soft and i didn't experience redness or stinging. but the real dealbreaker for me: it totally made my skin breakout! i got like 5 zits when i woke up the next morning. i tried it again a week later when the zits had healed and the came back again so i'm sure that this is the product that caused. i might try the sensitive skin version to see if that works...if i can ever find it that is.

I wouldn't say I LOVE this stuff, but I always keep coming back to it, so it's doing something, right? It's great for summer. A bit to drying for my skin in winter. IT really smooths my skin down. I mean there's a significant difference -- and one for the better. The smell is subtle, can barely smell anything to tell ya the truth. Goes on nicely, creamy, soaks in pretty quick. No greasiness. I like the stinging, too, so I know it's doing stuff. And after a couple weeks of using, I can SEE that it's working. Nice packaging. Sanitary. I like to try new stuff, but I think I'm done sampling face lotions. This is it. Neutrogena healthy Skin Face Lotion w/ SPF15 for summer when I'm around the house. CG Smoothers tinited moisturizer w/ SPF 15 for when I'm going out of the house. Ponds Mend & Defend during day in winter when bumming around house. Ponds Dry Skin Cream at night, rotating w/ pure unrefined shea butter from NASABB.

I have been using this for a month or two now. I'm not sure if my skin looks better but I like the creamy texture of this lotion, and it makes my skin feel nourished and healthy. I also like the stings because it makes me feel like it's working. What exactly do AHA's do anyways? Oh, and call me weird, but I like the smell. I like the bottle too, and the handy pump dispenser. I'll use this up but after that I may experiment with others.

I have been using this for years. I keep trying more expensive stuff but never have found one I like better - so I was happy to see that a doctor on Oprah recomended it because of the AHA and SPF. The only thing is that I need something a little more moisturizing when it's really cold. Other than that, I haven't found any other moisturizer that I like better!

**Update: I really hate the smell of this stuff - although I still would use it despite the smell until I find something better...

Here's my deal with this product. I've used it for years, and I love it. However, I'm on a new skincare regimine, and it is drying my face out. Probably b/c of the weather and all the harsh chemicals. Anyway, the skin around my mouth and nose is flaking, but the rest of my face is great. I'm looking for a creamier/thicker moisturizer for around my mouth area and nose, but I'm pleased w/ this product. It does sting a bit, but that is to be expected b/c of the ingredients. I would definitely rather use something more natural, but would it be better? Who knows.
A little update...I'm currently pregnant and this is burning my neck. Everytime I have used it I have broken out in a rash and end up itching for days. I don't know what is in this product that is causing this reaction...but I have had to stop using it b/c it looks like I have a yucky red rash all over my neck. How attractive is that???!!!
11/08 Ok tried this again...hoping to clear up my acne b/c it is bad! Well, the pregnancy hormones are over and I"m still having an alergic reaction. My neck is burning so bad...I just want to scratch my skin off. Ouch...don't buy.

This moisturizer has glycolic acid in it so it is great for flakey skin. My biggest complaint is the strong fragrance. Other than that it does a great job moisturizing without being too heavy. Love the SPF!

I loved this stuff when I first started to use it- it made my skin glowy and soft... even though it burned a bit in the beginning, I considered it my new HG moisturizer.
BUT then I noticed my lips started feeling dry. I'm a lip balm addict, so it's unusual for my lips to feel very dry at all. I thought it was just a coincidence, but my lips got dryer and dryer and started to crack and HURT, even with loads of lip balm.
I talked to a friend about it and she mentioned that when she used to use Retin-A, her lips used to get super dry too. Perhaps the ingredients in this lotion have a similar effect.
I stopped using this stuff, and my lips went back to normal. A few months later, I tried to use it again, hoping I had been wrong, but got the same problem- ouchy lips.
Unfortunately, it's just not worth it to me to have painful, cracked lips even if I have glowy soft skin.

It's hard to tell people are using the same product by reading the widely varied reviews. I guess it just depends on the individual's skin, and so far this is working great for me. I have combination skin. In the winter it is tight and flaky, but still developes an oily layer on the surface. I have large pores and break out on occasion. I have only been using this for about one week, but I have already noticed a difference. My skin is less tight and flaky feeling. I use this lotion morning and night. I don't feel any tingling and have not noticed any irritation. My skin actually seems less irratated than before I used it. There is a perfumey smell that thankfully dissipates after about ten minutes. It has fully soaked in after five minutes of application. The lotions I have tried in the past are either too light and do nothing for me, or too heavy and tend to leave my skin feeling greasy. This was perfectly balanced, it left my skin feeling normal! I will certainly continue to use this product.

On the back of the bottle, it says that you may experience a brief tingling sensation. The sensation was not brief and it was not tingling. It felt more like i was applying fire to my face. And it lasted so long that i had to rinse it off in cold water to feel better. i wanted to like this lotion because of the vitamins in it which are good but WHY does it have to burn so bad! i tried alot of sunscreens and even other alpha hydroxy treatments and they didnt feel like that. plus i agree with the other reviewer about those freaky sunscreen ingredients. i dont trust them very much and am going to go with another moisturizer that has zinc oxide as an active ingredient and is hopefully a little gentler.

i love this stuff!!!. this doesnt cause me to break out at all!! and i have acne prone skin... it actually causes me not to break out. I had seen a difference in my skin in about 1 week. my skin was brighter and smoother. However i only use this at night or when i get home in the evening. I dont need this for wrinkles are anything like that...i need this for uneven skin tone, acne scare and smoothing of the skin and let me tell u this stuff works....it may sting a little but nothing that u cant handle. Would repurchase.

I've been using this stuff for years during every season EXCEPT SUMMER. When the weather's hot, this stuff makes my face too greasy and causes me to breakout. However, during every other season, when my skin is normal to dry, this stuff is amazing. It's got some great ingredients, and is a great partner with any of Neutrogena's retinol products. Retinol in the pm, this stuff in the am. Read about someone's concerns about the ingredient "octinoxate" but don't know much about this. Will research to learn more and may update my review at a later time. For now, LOVE this treatment lotion for those with normal to dry skin. Oh yeah, it will sting at first, but this is perfectly normal. Any hydroxy acid does that - it's a sign that it's a potent/effective formula. Your skin will quickly get used to it though, and you'll be thankful for it later!
