Great product that works all day to beat the shine on your forehead and nose. You tip the tub upside down to sift the powder and then apply from inside the container. Only thing is when you have to sift it most of the product ends up inside the lid and you have to tip it back in the main container--what am I doing wrong!! Also NEEDS to be applied with a brush--don't bother with the cheap pad. I got medium which is good for Indian/Asian skin.

I've been a consistent user of this stuff for at least 3 years. it sets my foundation beautifully and is super cheap! I get it in light and medium, depending on the season. definetly give this stuff a try.

Hmmmm, the powder is not fine at all. Just like take a mask on my face after apply it. After using it, the powder goes everywhere, even on my clothes, very inconvenient. Also, once I tried to wash the puff, the puff split in two pieces, haha.
I will not repurchase this stuff anymore.

I have this in medium and it is much too dark for my "medium" skin. So, I usually end up mixing a little bit with moisturizer to get a bronzing effect. Does absorb oil and somewhat mattifies the face, but this product isn't anything special. The packaging/application method is pretty horrible because you have to hold the puff to the sifter and shake to get powder on the puff. Wouldn't buy again; not one of Maybelline's best products.

I love this powder! It controls shine really well and its yellowish tone blends perfectly with my warm-toned skin. Plus it has a nice silky feel to it. It may not work for everyone but it sure does for me!

I have very neutral feelings on this powder. To me, it's a typical good face powder. It's name says Shine Free, so automatically you assume you're not going to have any shine. It does mattify my face right when I apply it, but from what I've seen, this doesn't have any more shine control than any other loose powder I've used for oily skin, that don't have the claim "Shine Free." But it is acceptable at oil control. I just tend to expect more from a product that's name has a claim/promise to do a specific performance for you in it. Also, they do need to offer more colors for this product. I got it in Medium and found it a little orangey colored whenever I applied it to my face. But with my odd skin tone, it's always impossible for me to find my perfect color match in any face makeup as it is, so I guess it's really nothing unusual for me.

Umm, this did NOTHING. It didn't control any shine. It looked like I hadn't even applied it! Plus, it comes in one of those annoying containers that you can't travel with. The powder just goes everywhere in the container. Will definitely not buy again.

I just bought this and it's def. doing its job at controlling oil. I'm oily/combo/acne-prone right now for summer and reminded myself to be realistic when I bought this powder. I didn't expect it to prevent/stop me from sweating when I'm outside in 96 degree weather, but I did expect it to control shine and oil while I'm indoors and in cooler areas. I do have to blot after I come in from the heat, but if I choose to stay in afterwards, once I blot...that's it. So far I really like it and the price too. Like $4-$5 bucks. I bought it in Light and find it to be a perfect match for me.

This is my first ever loose powder. I have combination skin and usually my t-zone get a bit oily during the afternoon. But after using this, I found it my t-zone staying matte all day. I didn't believe it actually work, I only pick this up during a Maybelline sale. But I don't think I will buy it again as the powder itself is not as fine.

This is a WOW product. I can't believe how smooth it made my skin look. It covers well and didn't make my very oily/acne prone skin breakout. The selection in color is my only complaint though, they could offer more than two colors!!! I used the lightest shade yet it still is a tad too dark for me, but other than that this is a fab product.

OK, it's doing what it claims. It control my oilies. However, I can't find my match. Even the lightest shade is way too dark for me.

I really like this powder. I use it in Medium (it comes in Light and Medium) on its own and apply with a powder brush. It gives me a polished but sheer finish. It doesn't cake on and hasn't caused me any break outs. I just wish it would last longer. Usually I can get a couple of hours out of it before my shine breaks through. I also don't particularly care for the packaging. I wish it didn't have the sifter. But for $6 Can it's great value.

Maybelline Shine Free Loose Powder disappointed me. Only two hours later, my face was back to 'normal.' More shine and oil. It looked as if I'd never applied powder at all.

I have repurchased this product several times b/c it's oil-free and takes the shine away fr. my face but doesn't make my skin look cakey/ pastey. Yes, the packaging is completely cheesy and it's not as finely milled as other higher-end products, but this stuff usually sells for around $5-6! IMO, that is very affordable and I would rather spend my $$$ on skincare products. I use the lightest shade which does have a yellow tint to it, but I like that in a powder b/c it evens out the redness in my face. I use this powder w/ the Stila powder brush and it gives me a polished look.

This is a great loose powder. I have combo, yellow toned skin, and after I put on a foundation or just my normal skin care products, I apply this with a big powder brush, and it really softens my face and leaves it looking smooth. It also helps with the shininess. The packaging sucks, as does the applicator it comes in, but I can get over that.

I usually don't use low-end makeup, but I was in need. The "shine free" component, whatever it may be, doesn't usually last over an hour. It's messy, and the purple plastic top of mine cracked in half. However, the color is good and it's alright as an eyeshadow base.

This is an average powder. I prefer my MAC Blot or Cornsilk Loose Powder instead.

ok,this powder (in light) looked purely YELLOW on me. My skin may have yellow undertones or whatever, but it is certainly not yellow. Otherwise, it was not very finely milled, but from afar it made my skin look smooth.

an EXCELLENT drugstore powder. it really makes ur skin look very, very smooth. i didn't even know loose powder could do that!
i did need to use an oil-blotting tissue a couple times during the day however, so i took a point off.
