I used to love this moisturiser when I was using non-natural products. I found it a great daytime moituriser without chemical Spf (which breaks me out) and the old smell (before they reformulated a few years back) used to be something I looked foreward to (even though it was a unscented product it still had a faint smell if you know what I mean!)


However after they reformulated this product it started to give my more and more tiny clogged pores which would eventually lead to spots. My guess is that the content of dimethicone (which can clog some people's pores, like mine) increased in the new formulation. And so alas I stopped using it. However I always look upon it fondly when I see it at Boots. But nostalgia is not enough for me to ruin my skin again with it. Sigh...

people seem to really like this, and i always was a dedicated simple buyer so this was always the moisturiser i used, however it has a strange plasticy smell i think and it really doesnt give much moisture at all, it is good for sensitve skin though but i recently switched to astral and it is just as sensitive and 10 times more moisturising

such an amazing product , i used it before foundation in the winter and now in the summer i mix it with my foundation to make a great tinted moisturiser x

Feels nice on and definitely hydrates my skin. Good base for makeup. Lovely, light texture. Only problem is that it seems to be clogging my pores. So disappointed when I realised what it was doing because it was great in every other aspect.

I agree, this product is a great base for make up especially during summer because it is SO light, non-greasy and instantly absorbed.
I love the bottle for some reason. Best moisturiser under your make up if you don't feel like using a primer, if only it had spf =[ that would be the cherry on top.

Great moisturiser for those with oily acne prone skin and for teenagers. The consistency of the moisturiser is a cross between a gel-like-fluid-cream with no fragrance at all and is absorbed fast into your skin leaving your skin soft and hydrated. This is not greasy at all. Its great because its cheap, comes in a travel size, lasts for a long time and will not irritate you skin unless you are allergic to the ingredients. This is one of my go-to moisturisers and ihave repurchased more than once. BTW i would not recommended this for the older generation as it would not moisturising enough for them but luckily Simple do do a rich version of this moisturiser. Just SIMPLY great.

2 words; cheap and effective. I'm on my 6th bottle and I can never get enough of it, I have skin problems with eczema to an oily nose and generally dry skin. Yet, this cheap product had managed to neutralize my problems without the cost of breakouts or allergic reactions. Every after using this, an illusion of flawless skin is what this baby gives me. And thank god that there is no scent.

You can get this for less than 10 AUD, and well, what's the loss of trying?

I've tried several moisturisers over the past year and none of them have performed like this one! It's so light, doesn't leave skin oily and actually does the job. It really is better than a lot of the highly priced moisturisers on the market.

This moisteriser made my skin feel tight and itchy, as well as causing red bumps under the skin. I've never had a reaction to skin products before and definetly don't consider myself to have sensitive skin. As soon as I stopped using the product my skin went back to normal. I won't be using any simple products and am really dissapointed seeing that they have an image of being natural and good for the skin.

I've used this all my life and will use it forever more. It's light and easily hydrates my skin without it becoming oily. A wonderful base for make-up. Simple and great :)

I believe this is referring to the same product as the hydrating lotion- which I wrote a review for.

I initially really liked this as I have acne prone skin and it didn't make me break out. However, after longer use I find I am getting some clogged pores. I usually use emu oil instead of moisturiser but last week I decided to use this everyday as my skin was really dry. The condition of my skin is not as good as it was before I used this, so I know this is the culprit.

LOVE LOVE it! Ive tried ALOT of moisturisers in the attempt to find the right one for my oily and slightly acne prone skin and since starting to use Simple light moisteriser I know that my search is over. I love how natural it is and that I dont need to worry about my skin having any kind of reaction to it. I find for myself that a little goes a long way and after using my skin feels nicely hydrated without feeling oily. I always use this just before I apply my make up and it helps to make my foundation set and look more natural. Simple is one of the very few skincare brands that I trust anywhere near my skin and it hasnt let me down yet.

LIFE SAVER!

well thats a little over the top
but i did help my skin alot
i was useing the garnier eye roll to get rid of bags
and i had a bad reaction had to use heyfever pill etc and i had lots of dry patches on my face and this stuff cleared all that up in 2 days
i use it every night before bed i also use the other simple range like the eye wipes and tonner etc
so yer 5/5 its so good and dosent upset your skin

I bought a travel size (50ml) of this to take to a festival and it was only £1. I have normal/slightly dry and sensitive skin and this is perfect. It doesn't irritate, has no annoying fragrance and is very hydrating. I went back and bought 2 more for only £1 each. I usually expect a 50ml moisturizer to cost £10-£20 so this is a real bargain with great gentle ingredients.

This review is for the Hydrating Light Moisturizer.

I must say that this moisturizer really rocks! I've tried a couple of other moisturizers before but they literally slide off my face and cause me to perspire (like the Olay one) before being absorbed by my skin. Unlike the rest, this moisturizer feels light and hydrating and well absorbed(!) by my face! And the best thing is I can really feel my face becoming more hydrated and smooth. I use it before applying my makeup, so basically, it's my trusty makeup base as well!

By far my favorite moisturiser! I've been using this for months now before my makeup and my skin stays hydrated all day long. It's really cheap and it lasts forever..won't need to repurchase anytime soon! But I've already gotten a backup..just in case..recommended to everyone because this is such a simple yet effective moisturiser

I bought this after I lost my very expensive daily moisturiser somewhere in Europe. It was only meant to tide me over until I could afford my usual moisturiser, but I ended up sticking with Simple.
Who needs to be spending $73 AUD on a moisturizer that manages to wriggle out of ur suitcase?! Simple's light moisturiser hydrates dry skin while balancing the oil in my t-zone. Plus it's only like $9.95 AUD

this review is for Simple hydrating light moisturizer. this stuff is cheap & works great. it suits my dry skin so well. it's not greasy like other moisturizers out there. this moisturizer feels light & definitely doesn't just sit on top your skin. i love Simple's toner & moisturizer.
would i repurchase? yep, definitely.
